Mother’s Day Meal….
Nothing beats a family run authentic restaurant. They offered the mother a glass of bubbly complimentary to start with and overall service and setting was amazing. Food was delicious too.
First time going and won’t be the last!!
My partner and I attended the Reggae flava night on Friday because we are big fans of Reggae music and Caribbean cuisine. We had heard great things about the live band that was scheduled to perform, and we were not disappointed. The food was fantastic, and we indulged in various dishes including Jerk Chicken Wings, Jerk Bao Buns, Jerk Spring Rolls, Mac & Cheese Balls, Rice & Peas Tacos, and a curry bowl. It was all delicious.
The music at the event was also top-notch, with a DJ playing reggae classics that we both enjoyed. The live band had everyone up and dancing, and we stayed until the end of the night, enjoying more music from the DJ and a singer. We had such a great time that we plan to attend more events at this bar in the future.
The best place on the Wirral ive been for food and drinks. The lemon pepper wings are perfect, so crispy and juicy at the same time. The Birria beef tacos are to die for. The cocktails are everything, perfect amount of alcohol not too strong to the point the alcohol is overpowering but definitely strong enough, I got drunk off 3, definitely not watered down. The service is immaculate every time I’ve visited, the friendliest waiters, the time it takes for the food to come out is perfect and when the food arrives it arrives hot and you can tell they are made fresh. Honestly every time I’ve visited it feels as though the food, the drinks and the service gets better. Most underrated restaurant on the Wirral.
Visited before 2nd lockdown and everything was run to keep customers and staff safe, food was incredible and staff lovely. Will definitely return soon as we can. Very dog friendly
Lovely hosts and exquisite food. Comfortable and cosy. The menu will startle you. The quality of the fresh ingredients is wonderful. Animal friendly. Just a friendly hotel. Probably dress smartly for Dinner. The bar is well stocked. The hosts will go out of their way to make you stay ver special...Just go to Overwater Hotel. You will go back!
We have eaten at Lorenzo’s a few times and the food has always been amazing and the atmosphere in the restaurant is great.
I booked to come for a meal on New Year’s Day (my wife’s birthday) through the website (which was incredibly easy to do).
We arrived slightly early to find out we had the whole restaurant to ourselves - there were no other bookings. Lorenzo went that extra mile and it made it an extra special experience for us when he could have quite easily cancelled the booking and had the day off.
The food was sublime and the Gavi was great. Lorenzo’s hosting skills were second to none and as well as cooking our beautiful food he came and talked to us- it was magical.
If you’re in Frodsham and looking for a place to eat- you couldn’t beat Lorenzo’s.
Buzzing modern Thai eatery in the Northern Quarter. The menu consists of mostly small plates. The kohlrabi salad had an interesting mix of peanut and fish sauce.
The monkfish yellow curry was bursting with Thai flavours. Small pieces of monkfish were topped with slices of perfect scallops and prawns. I had some chicken rice with it. The rice was delicious )although some would have preferred a plain rice to not interfere with the curry.) The pickled and burnt gem lettuce was delicious too!
I finished off with the coconut caramel which was a small cube with a delicate hint of tumeric.
The service was efficient and the restaurant was buzzing with a large table of Thai customers enjoying themselves. I would definitely return!
The bill came to £45 without alcohol. (The reservation required a £20 deposit.)
This is my go-to place for breakfast.
The staff are friendly, the food is good. What more do you need a review to say?
I have the veggie breakfast and this establishment uses high-end veggie sausages that feel and taste like, well, sausages. I particularly like the fried haloumi that comes with it.
My only complaint, and it's a small one, is that it can get a bit noisy when the coffee machine kicks off.
Just remembered I went in this coffee place based in the bus interchange in Rochdale ,handy if you are waiting for your bus or tram which is also adjacent to this bus station just across the road coffee is great .
The thing about the coffee place I like that they decorated the middle table with what is in season eg ,easter mothers day nice to see

We heard from an assistant in a shop in Kendal that, in her opinion, Kimi's Gelato was the best Gelato ever! According to her, it was regularly frequented by her and all her friends, so we had to find out for ourselves. After a couple of failed attempts, we finally made it to the shop. It's a spacious shop with what appears to be a relatively small display cabinet, so it crossed our minds that perhaps this wouldn't be the experience we had been promised. I absolutely did not mind being wrong on this occasion, as we were in for a treat. The first thing of note is that the incredible colours are a real feast for the eyes and then you have to face the impossible task of choosing one or more of the amazing flavours. Mel, who served us and who was delightful, was really accommodating in allowing us to test any of the flavours. I think I would have tried every one given half the chance. I chose the Strawberry and white chocolate and also the Rocher. There were surprises in every lick. Pieces of strawberry then chunks of white choc. The Rocher is a Ferrero lover's dream. Decadent and certainly not lacking in flavour and texture. We think Jon who creates these Gelatos is a genius! We are dreaming of our next visit.
