Gannets Takeaway in Sefton

Ordered takeaway which was absolutely delicious The rib appetiser was moist succulent and all that I hoped for my rap brisket was very tasty and the fries were amazing, crisp, fluffy, fresh and hot. My favourite thing though was the chocolate fudge brownie Yaffle. I never expected it to be as delicious as it was. I look forward to it many times in the future. Service was great. Delivery was on time and the food was hot and packaged, beautifully with utensils and a napkin to boot.

When they say not just ribs, they mean it! We ordered chicken scratchings, think ‘the crispy bits of chicken that everyone wants seasoned perfectly’. Outstanding. Rib tickler burger is with no hesitation, the best burger I’ve had in over 6 years. Perfectly cooked, wrapped and ratios all around! Bourbon ribs, the sauce isn’t as thick as I expected but they are so flavoursome and the meat is tender as you like! If you’re a dessert person the yaffles are very tasty, I think they may be a combo of waffle and yumyums.

The food here is unreal I would highly recommend fries toppers chicken raps ribs and chicken wings was melt in the mouth delicious piping hot and so tasty really resnoble prices for the quality of the meat you would expect to pay more I'll be back and would highly recommend if the was more stars at rate more x

Excellent service - called in on our way home and were advised straightaway that we would have to wait 10 to 15 minutes because of online and telephone orders which was fine. Excellent value and really good food - can't wait to try other items on the menu. Food was still nice and hot when we got home 10 minutes later, The fries were particularly good - a big size portion and much better than certain other large scale chain takeaways.

OMG! I fancied a burger and got the best, tastiest one ever! Immaculately/clinically clean shop at the far end of Eastbank St. Easy parking outside. I will be back. Tried the Rib Tickler meal. Great value. Good portion of chips and well wrapped to stay hot. BEST TAKEAWAY IN SOUTHPORT BY MILES! No wonder they are mega busy but was worth the wait.

First time I have tried I love a good burger and I wasn’t disappointed packaging of high quality delivery was quick and very polite I should have tipped! Couldn’t eat all the sides but all cooked well and flavoursome Thank you

Wow! We have just enjoyed the most amazing food from gannets - ribs were incredible, the meat falls off the bone - so tender! The chicken wings were Devine and the brisket wrap was incredible! Superb flavours and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly!

Last night I had the burger combo meal, the owner is a very competent young chef who took the time to show me around the business as I was very interested in the business and the amazing kitchen he has got. Anyway back to the food, most people would probably think £10 is a lot for a burger and chips with a can of coke but I always say if you want quality food you have to pay for I t and I certainly wasn't disappointed. The burger itself was cooked perfectly, moist and juicy and the pulled pork was very nice indeed, great flavours. I didn't have salad on the burger just cheese and crispy onions but wish I dud now as a bit of acidity from tomatoes would of made it the absolute perfect burger, you also get a generous helping of well seasoned fries which I couldn't finish so if you go to gannets I'd make sure you are hungry because you certainly get a lot for your money. Would I go to gannets again, the answer is a definite yes, I can tell just by the amount of effort the young owner has gone to create his menu he has a real passion for food the sane as I have. I have been a head chef for nearly 30 years and it is my pleasure to write such a review for his outstanding business and attention to detail. He makes everything himself from scratch and I wish him every success and I can't wait to taste the test of his menu

Just had BBQ wings, absolutely lush. Have previously tried the peking ribs, which were so tasty. Also the yaffle, sweet, tasty and a very different kind of desert. Loved it. Will be back to try the burgers. Very clean, well priced and just yum.

Best takeaway in Southport, everything was fresh & so good, will definitely be going back soon. We got Peking ribs, hot jerrys wings, pulled pork wrap & not to forget the Yaffle! The bisconoffe Yaffle is the best ! Make sure to try one
