The Secret Garden in St. Helens

First of all, thank you so much to the barmaid because she was absolutely brilliant. Pleasant, polite, never left empty glasses on your table for more than a couple of minutes. The atmosphere inside is wonderful, so chilled out and relaxed. Some of the best cocktails I've ever had too! Nice and strong but also gorgeous fresh fruit in them! Beautiful. 10/10. Can't wait for a drink with the girls.

Visited on Saturday night. What a lovely little bar very quaint. Served 2 amazing gins by 2 lovely and very friendly girls. Great background music will definitely return on our next visit.

Had a lovely coffee and then expresso martini after shopping great little place to sit and chill had good music on the lady who served me was lovely checked on me and had a chat which was nice will defiantly come back and kids are welcome aswell

Lovely staff, great decor and atmosphere, delicious coffee, tasty cakes. Inside you feel a world away from St Helens...and that can only be a 5 star plus rating in my eyes haha

Visited just before the government enforced lockdown and had a wonderful afternoon. Lovely staff, great coffee, awesome cakes and all in a lovely relaxing atmosphere. Can't wait to return. P.S. try the doorstop toast with lashings of butter...it is the best.

Never knew this place existed and was totally blown away when we found it. It's so quirky and intimate inside and the service and ambiance makes this a little paradise. Highly recommend

Love love love this place new decaff coffee is georgous and always well presented on a silver tray with iced water and a cube of flapjack well worth a visit when out shopping, doorstop toast amazing, not to mention the gins if you don't fancy tea or coffee😂☕

This is a fantastic little place with lovely friendly staff. Prices are great. Good for a coffee and a light snack during the day and drinks in the evenings and weekends. Perfect location for small business meetings. Free Wi-fi. Great find. Little gem.

Wow!!!! What a fab little bistro this is. First time for visiting today and I was so impressed with the ambience of this bespoke little place and the wonderful friendly. Food lovely and well presented. This place is can asett to St Helens town centre Well done and thank you to all the staff

The cutest little cafe hidden off the street of St Helens. Definitely worth a visit. We got sandwiches and chips, also came with side salad and coleslaw. Absolutely stuffed and food was beautiful. Cute decor, lovely staff, will be back soon.

The Secret Garden. St. Helens You could easily walk past the door set amongst shops and businesses in St. Helens. But luckily we had a tip off from the Jeweller’s next door, Louis William 22 Ormskirk St. St. Helens where I bought my wife’s Christmas Present. I’m not giving the surprise away, she was with me and told me to buy it! Lunchtime at the Secret Garden was now on the cards. It expands beyond the doorway down what was once a ginnel, there is a bar on the left, and seating for drinkers on the right, now through the end door and a lovely café become the dining room. Must say this café/bar/restaurant has been created from nothing but a passageway between buildings, but the creative nature of the owner has produced a ‘must see’ venue. It is not overpriced and the food great, Soup, thick fresh sandwiches, Chips, cakes etc, great coffee in a great atmosphere what more do you want for lunch? I give it 10/10 for just being there and providing a well needed change from normal cafe’s, it is a pleasing experience so try it.

Visited here with my daughter for coffee and lunch and I can say it is a wonderful place to visit and for either coffee and or lunch. It’s not been open that long and it is a place that you need. The cafe is small and quite unique and really pleasant. The coffee is very nice with a good selection and lunch is plentiful I can tell you. All in all it is a place that once been you will be back again. If you fancy gins wines and cocktails then you can have these as well. We will certainly be back and would recommend anyone else to go.
