The best restaurants in Washington North Sunderland North East

A fabulous little gem of a café, serving excellent and inexpensive food, by owners who genuinely care about their people and their pets. So many cafes come and go in Washington, and many are ridiculously overrated... But CafeK9 is a place that I feel will be there for some time to come. It is unpretentious but unique in what it offers (meals and events for the dogs, for example), and nothing is too much trouble for these lovely people. CafeK9 is very much an underrated hidden gem, that needs to be found and enjoyed. You don't need to take your dog to appreciate the ambiance - but it helps if you like them!

Two wonderful ladies serving us today. They were super helpful and friendly, even explained about all the vegan products as I dont eat meat. Normally subways are quite stressful but this one was relaxed and we didnt feel rushed at all. Would come again just to chat to these two wonderful women! Thank you for exceptional customer service.

Went here about a week or so ago and had such a great experience! Alex our server was so polite and made sure we were good the entire time. Also the wings are a must try! I’d def recommend this place to try out.

Not been here for 30 years had 3 meals in a month food was good then you start to get the odd bad one keema nan rock hard give it a miss for a while

Friendly and helpful staff kids loved their meals would've given a 5star rating but I'm afraid my beef was very dry and chewy but still very good service and rest of meal was delicious.

Really tasty food. I love the triple chocolate muffin. The sandwiches are good. The prices are extremely cheap. You cannot beat a good greggs.

For the first time I visited this cafe.Unfortunately my experience wasn't good.Firstly I found the service rather slow and not very friendly especially the young blonde girl.We had x2 latte coffees and honestly they were not not nice,very weak and too milky ....and very expensive. Needless to say I will becreluctant to return to this cafe.A real shame as it has a great location in the Galleries. I hope this helps you to rectify the problems as we really don't like to complain.

Returning home after a week of lovely food, we decided to finish off with a Chinese. We had a menu that was pushed through the letterbox and as they had a low delivery charge, we gave Woo Lot a try. Our food arrived in no time at all, perhaps a little too quick. Our Yung Chow Chow Mein, looked like bird food or fish bait. The noodles were so small and fine. The other meaty pieces were sparse and one piece was unidentifiable. Needless to say, I didn't eat it. This was by far, the worst Chinese meal, I have ever had.

Food is lovely, starting to get a bit pricey Service at the till is so slow they need another till. 15 mins plus i waited Drinks should come out before food.
