Woo Lot in Sunderland

Returning home after a week of lovely food, we decided to finish off with a Chinese. We had a menu that was pushed through the letterbox and as they had a low delivery charge, we gave Woo Lot a try. Our food arrived in no time at all, perhaps a little too quick. Our Yung Chow Chow Mein, looked like bird food or fish bait. The noodles were so small and fine. The other meaty pieces were sparse and one piece was unidentifiable. Needless to say, I didn't eat it. This was by far, the worst Chinese meal, I have ever had.

It literally took 5-10 minutes for this takeaway to arrive...the fastest delivery I've ever had! The food was delicious! I'm quite fussy when it comes to takeaways as i hate wasting my money but i thoroughly enjoyed it and ate every bit. We ordered sweet and sour chicken, chow mien, chips and curry sauce. We got free prawn crackers and fortune cookies with this. The prawn crackers are high quality ones too, not the super greasy thin crappy ones you sometimes find at other takeaways. The only suggestion i would make is that they use thicker noodles as they used the really thin noodles but they were still lovely, just my preference. Overall a really great chinese that i would certainly order from again and recommend to anyone. Worth the money.

Normally very good and is our regular chinese. I'm not sure what happened today, rice was bland, chips hard and greasy and the curry sauce was watery. Not the usual high standard.

First order from here as it was literally the only Chinese open! Was impressed with all of the food we ordered. Really nice. Probably the bet Chinese take away I have had. Will definitely order again.

Food was lovely and arrived earlier than expected. Only problem was delivery driver.. had a lit tab in one hand smoke blowing all over the bag of food and into our house. Disgusting.

The crispy seaweed was way too sweet. Apart from that the meal was great and delivered in double quick time. Thank you.

Delivered bang on time, food piping hot. Won tons are just pastry so no point. But the shared starter is more than enough for two and the ribs are awesome. However the chicken wings are really greasy but everything else was really nice. Really enjoyed the salt and pepper chicken.

Food was delicious and not filled with salt like some chinese dishes are. Everything arrived hot and contained in their containers. Delivery also arrived ahead of time by 20mins which was great. Will certainly order from Woo Lot again!

The noodles had been frozen then reheated, the sauce for spring rolls and cantonese sauce from the terrible cuts of ribs had an overpowering taste of Vinegar! The mushrooms in gravy, well it sure as hell wasn't gravy and in one spoonful of the gravy there was two tiny droplets of gravy and the rest was oil! The oiliest thing ivm've ever had in my life. It looked a mess too, I don't knoe how you mess up mushrooms in gravy but congratulations for manging. Would not reccomend or re order!

Fabulous food .good timing on delivery ..spot on very hot too pricey for me ....but very very good. Ten out of ten

Didn't like all the mini corn in the dishes and the chow main was the thin stuff and not as nice as other restaurants. It's a shame as it looked nice and delivered quick but was just average on quality. Shame as good size portions just need to be more refined.

Took a chance based on the good reviews as our usual takeaway has changed ownership and gone downhill. Food was very tasty, quick delivery and reasonable price. Will order again.

Fried rice was nice, mixed veg and King prawns wasn't very nice. Worst thing was that the chips have changed to frozen chips. Been a while since last been here but they always did proper chippy chips and that was the main reason why we ordered from here. Quite disappointed really. Very quick service though.

Definitely recommend this takeaway ordered from here quite a few times now and the food had always been lovely arrived pipping hot and before stated delivery time delivery drivers are always very pleasant also, my son is a very fussy eater and this Chinese takeaway is the only one we have found that he likes the food from ☺

Have to say it was the first time I ordered from here because it had the highest reviews and I couldn't fault it. The delivery time was very quick and the food couldn't be faulted so clean and tasty. I will definitely be ordering from here again !

Best Chinese takeaway on just-eat, food is great quality and tastes great, it's also 5 stars on score on the doors so it's clean! Unlike most of the other Chinese's on just-eat that have loads of reviews but cleanliness is only 1 star!

Sweet and sour was watery and didn't taste like sweet n sour egg fried rice wasn't up to much either I just binned half of the meal

Lovely food - best Chinese we have had in a long time

Overall the food was lovely arrives before the estimated time and was hot. The only issue was I had left a comment in the notes box and this was not recognised resulting in one of our family member not being able to eat and enjoy the food like we all did.
