The best restaurants in Boldon Colliery South Tyneside North East

Had Sunday lunch there last week. The food was great, Really large portions and neither of us could eat it all, good selection of vegetables and the staff are really friendly and helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed the visit. We will be back.

Value for money is an understatement. The breakfasts are outstanding and the daily specials lovely choice

Booked a table for Sunday lunch, arrived they seated us and took our order for 3 Sunday dinners that was at 3.20pm at 3.50pm the lady came over to ask if we wanted to order desserts to which I replied we haven't had our mains yet! She went and checked with the chef then came down and said they had put fresh roast potatoes in and our dinner was coming down now, it got to 4.15pm and still no mains, we payed our drinks bill and left, we are now currently at the kebab shop next door, first visit since it reopened and will be our last

First time here, had food from the Christmas menu. Food was so tasty and large portions. Lovely, friendly staff

We visited The Travelling Man for Dinner. The waitress seated us quickly and offered us drink. We had a good look over the the menu and there was a few great options. I opted for the beef brisket with fries and gravy. We waited around 15 minutes for the food to arrive. The meat was very tender and melted in the mouth and accompanied with the fries and gravy, it made for a great filling meal.

The best carbonara I’ve ever had. All meals lovely and friendly staff. Pizza dough cooked to perfection

Always good food and fast delivery

Bought a dinnertime special. Corned beef pattie chips and gravy. Tasted great and I struggled to eat it all.

Pizza's were nice but the fish and fish cakes were genuinely the worst I've ever eaten in my entire life. Extremely dry and the batter was extremely thick and greasy, as if it had been refried with a second or third layers of batter. The thing was a weapon on a plate.

Another great Sunday lunch in bar area. Food is excellent, fresh ingredients, very good value. Two courses and two bottles of wine. Amazing as always, thanks

Visited with daughter. Staff lovely but the food tasted of nothing. No flavour at all to the chicken and long wait for the food too.

Order on just eat lost the Order never received complete disgrace never again complained on the phone very sad phone call regarding order never again

We had previously had a decent meal from here before but unfortunately this time, despite the order being delivered hot, in time and the driver being pleasant we both felt very disappointed with our respective meals. We tend to eat our meals before commenting but our opinion was the same. Sorry, but feel let down.
