Fast Fry in South Tyneside

cold food sausage rock hard fish soggy chips taste like cardboard took over an hour to deliver and got sent to the wrong address and had to ring back to get our food never getting food there again its called fast fry but should be called fast fried twice slow slow delivery

Now called Fast Fry, good range of pizza's, fried heart attack food and fizzy drinks. 2/05/24 Update It would be awesome if your young female staff member would listen to customers, maybe she would get the order right!! 🤡😡

Food was Nice just got an order the delivery woman was absolutely horrible to my friend as he answered door regarding change he gived her for order started shouting at him saying its going to weigh her down, and he apologised she said you just want to see me walk funny! ABSOLUTELY APPALLING SERVICE WILL NOT BE ORDERING AGAIN!

I have a few take away from here always nice and good portions and the staff where friendly.

Instead of pizzas or kebabs we decided on burgers for a change. Whereas chips were chippy style chips we weren’t overly impressed with the burgers.

The usual Sunday night large kebab wrap and tomato garlic bread. Spot on as normal.

We tried a different half in half pizza (pizza one side, Smokey sausage the other. Meal with chips and carton of chilli arrived quickly. Chips were great as was the pizza, tasty not hot.

5 star all the way foods great very tasty friendly staff

They don't accept card, cash only. Food was very average. Kebab meat was ok but chips were poor.

Usually mega this place but today the chips must have been reheated they were rotten, plus no batter that I requested, the pizza was dripping with grease and they put chillie on the kebab and not garlic that we asked for, hopefully a one off, please read the order properly

I had my standard pepperoni pizza with garlic sauce whilst my husband tried the volcano pizza which was hot but not overly so, with chilli sauce. There was loads of chips and a small garlic bread to have with a meal the next day. Good choice and good prices

Disappointed with lack of toppings as there didn’t seem to be any ham only pepperoni when there should have been ham also

I am thinking of reporting these folk to the Trading Standards - I ordered a large fish, and got a WHALE!! Absolutely great!! Can't recommend them highly enough!

….. as a ‘too tired to cook’ treat. We’d enjoyed previous takeaway from here so hoped for for the same experience. We weren’t disappointed as the meal was delivered promptly and hot. Lots of kebab meat and chips, lovely tasting (tasty not too spicy) and enough leftovers for another day.

We decided give Fast Fry a try. Arrived promptly delivered with a smile from the driver, something we seem to forget, it’s nice when the delivery person is happy and shuts the gate behind them. Lovely (slightly greasy) chips and to save arguing we picked 5 toppings as a compromise and they made for a great pizza, crusts light. A good discovery on first go.

Just moved into the area, second time ordering from these, absolutely gorgeous. Exactly what I asked for due to dietary requirements. Would highly recommend.

I often order from here sorry to write this..... Ordered fish and chips sent the first one back as the batter on fish could of hung wallpaper. To receive another one exactly the same! Polite on phone when complained said they were under staffed...but now sat with no tea!!

Regularly order from here and its always really good food freshly cooked and tastes great. Never had a problem with delivery so far.

Bought fish and chips they were horrible chips must of been warmed up off dinner time took them back and were so rude and basicaly tuff never again would i never use them again

I always order and enjoy the food from here, i normally get 10inch garlic bread special with garlic and a lrg tub of chilli costing £9 odd with delivery. Same order this week cost nearly £14 and the forgot to put garlic on and only min amount of meat. Was veru disappointed with meal and price at them prices i will not be reordering any time soon .

The staff are very welcomeing and the food is very good.

Abysmal service. Two hours late. Kept lying about delivery time. Ordered online, rang for updates, said he was busy. Several previous orders arrived incorrect with salads and sauces missing. Try nearby establishments who know how to do customer service.

Had a mixed chicken wrap last night 60m woke up at 2am being sick with bad guts. Phoned the shop for them to pass the blame and say it was something else. Now at work not functioning properly with possible food poisoning will never be using again!

Chicken tikka poor quality the last few times now, lots of gristle and crunchy bits need to complain to your supplier

Wraps contained about 10% meat and 90% salad/chips. It’s not bad food but for some reason they skimp on the chicken and donner meat big style. Been twice now and it’s been the same both times. Doubt we will return.

sorry to have to do this and i have messaged to explain in detail why i gave the bad review bought one of the extra large kebab wraps, it was ordered for collection didnt check the bag until i arrived home what was in the bag looked like a french bread stick about 2" in diameter on opening it the was a wrap that to say contained kebab meat was a bit of a fairy tale, yes it did in places, one strip and in other places just lettuce with a bit cucumber mixed in a more truthfull description would be a lettuce and cucumber wrap with a sprinkling of kebab meat here and there. the wrap around the lettuce was an old stale wrap that was hard and crusty, barely able to get a steak knife to cut it, really was that bad,certainly not edible. this is just a true description of what i received on this order, what worries me is if this is what they are willing to try to get away with what goes on behind closed doors where you dont see, what i received on this occasion was absolutely abyssmal I did contact the shop directly first, explaining all of this but they have decided to not even bother with a reply. in all honesty I have used this shop regularly, odd occasions its been slightly below par but thats like most places but no longer think I will be returning after the shocking quality of this last order I agree with a one star rating because the chips were ok

I eat a lot of kebab wraps, In a lot of places. These are the biggest and best I've ever had. No where can even come close. The female driver is always a delight.
