Dhillons Fish Inn in South Tyneside

Phoned an order in for school for 14 of us the day before. Went to pick it up and it was all ready for us to collect. Staff are lovely and friendly and very helpful. Order was all correct and staff loved it and said the best they've had in a long time and it was all still hot and everything fresh. We would definitely be ordering from there again. Thank you

I recently visited Dhillons fish inn and had a fantastic experience! The prices are incredibly reasonable, making it a great value for the quality of food you receive. So sad that it’s gone right downhill, called to collect and we were stood for 25 minutes in the shop! The order was completely wrong and the cod was dry and soggy. No apologies from the staff at all. We won’t return unfortunately.

320p for bag of chips, boooo, young family with a few kids, can't afford this, Fish Chips curry peas 15 pounds plus. Maybe I'm old fashioned but this is just taking the !!!

asked for chips with batter and never got any batter. chip shop chips arent the same without batter didnt enjoy them and the mince pie pastry was tough as boots. disappointed as never had chipshop takeaway for ages most of it ended up in bin. wont be back anytime soon

10 inch pepperoni pizza, 6 slices. One slice with 3 pepperoni slices, 1 slice with 2 slices and 4 slices with one slice of pepperoni. 9 slices of pepperoni. Never again.

Bought chips with curry sauce at £4.90. Chips tasteless and curry sauce was so watery it just made the chips inedible, so had to just throw away. Really disappointed.

Has got to be one of the best fish and chips I've had for a long time. They fry your hadic while you wait,and the chips are thick and tasty just look at my photos well worth £10.50..

Used to be nice. last couple of times I have received terrible chips. Dark brown and taste like theyve been reheated in a microwave and left to dry. Not good value for the price. Don't usually leave reviews but was so disappointed. Last time I visit Dhillons in Newtown.

Every time I have visited this establishment, the service has been 💯 acceptable. The food, always piping hot when I got the fish & chips home. Sometimes to many chips - but I still managed to ear the delicious food! NO COMPLAINTS - only positive response!

Disgusting! Good luck if you want to eat here! nothing like advertised! Staff were rude and didn’t take my allergy to milk seriously… took the money for a sausage before telling me if it had milk in or not… then told they weren’t sure so I said I didn’t want it. Then tried to make me buy something else instead … Mushy pees were like water and were stone cold … Overall awful and I’m surprised they have won so many awards … must have low standards…

An excellent service we received from Dhillions,we put in a large order, nothing was a problem to them, everything was cooked perfectly and hot, portions where a good size, would definitely recommend them 5 star +.The staff where amazing excellent service throughout

Chicken kebab full of skin an fat..no real nice pieces of chicken just a load of scraps, complained an got given a replacement then next day, but it was no different exactly the same

Was ok, but service Lacking, they mixed my Just Bag Chips Order up with some other Customer Fish & Chips, they only realised mistake after Customer had leaving shop and hall call him back, seems be taking to Many Orders, & trying to get them out fast, they then tend forget the Orders.

I've just been into dhillons fish shop in hebburn for a packet of chips and the portion I have been served is disgusting for the size of the portion I received for £2-50 Paul's up the road you nearly get twice as mutch I won't be going there anymore to be ripped off Paul's from now on

I bought fish and chips today and was given in a box when I got home there was hardly any chips in the box most definitely not a Portion of chip. The fish was very soggy sticking to the box and when tried to put it on the plate it broke up in pieces the quality was not good at all..there was hardly any fish only batter definitely not worth the value for money. Total ripped off...very disappointed after it was recommended as a good fish and chip shop..far from it..

just bought fish and chips less than 20 mins ago..fish was grey 2 bits stuck together, disgusting and will not be going again...not a descent chippy anywhere.

We recently visited Dhillons after hearing great things. Have to say we were not impressed. The staff were certainly not in a hurry to serve anyone and despite having to wait for one portion of food they still insisted on making the first one. Normally this isn't a problem as they keep them hot whilst waiting however this wasn't done. So we had one hot meal and one cold one by the time we got to eat them. The portion sizes too were not that good compared to other local fish and chip shops. Perhaps they are living off past good reviews but we certainly won't be back anytime soon!

mouthwatering fish cakes, soaked in salt and vinegar and mushy peas was so good, the chips were really nice and tasty, i love this takeaway and will always go back

Disgusting food - ordered two kebabs and asked for the sauces to be kept separately, but when food was collected the presentation of food was something that I personally wouldn't give to a dog. Kebab thrown in with soggy pitta bread with a handful of chips and the sauce covered all over. I had to throw my food in the bin as it was covered in chilli sauce which I don't like, hence why I asked for sauces to be kept separately. Won't be going back there in a hurry.

Used Dillon's for ever, two or three times a week always had great food great service but so disappointed today what's happened to the portion size actually had to buy extra bag of chips as they visibly looked that much smaller than usual. Hope this is a one off

Best place to go for a kebab wrap, got kebab wrap with chips and garlic sauce and was absolutely GORGEOUS, always go here every weekend, service is also very fast. staff are lovely

Just had fantastic takeaway fish and chips from here. The fish was chunky and white with light crispy batter. It is sad to admit but the mushy peas were the best I have had since my Grandma made them in Doncaster

Great food, great staff and great prices. Always fresh food, polite and helpful staff, with fantastic professionalism. Communications over the phone orders are also well worth a try. We phone our orders through, always ready in 20 minutes. No waiting or hanging around and no queues. Well done, love it.
