New management, friendly warm reception nicely refurbished , visited with my daughter and granddaughter for food lovely homemade fresh produce freshly cooked , really enjoyed are choices we all enjoyed it will call again .

Great place we had Sunday dinners which were fresh, home made really nice to taste home made roast potatoes too we will definitely be returning 5*

Known this place for quite some time and have missed it uite a bit but ir is good to see it back as a must call location. It has a good selection of food and drink although in this visit I could only have a drink on the way to visit someone else. It is pleasant, large and very nice place which allows you to bring your dogs, has excellent parking and the new people are polite and helpful. I found the bar prices a little on the pricey side in the drink stakes but it has been long time since I had a pint, (my preference being the wee scotch). I understand they have now reintroducing Sunday lunches so shall return later to review that delight.

My Daughter and myself just had evening meals homemade lasagne and mince and dumplings with drinks and it was lovely would recomened it.

5 of us went for Sunday lunch today (18/8/24). We were not disappointed. The food was lovely as was desserts. The staff were very nice and friendly. The service was a bit slow but we sat chatting. It’s still all new and I’m sure service will speed up as it becomes more familiar. In no way is this a complaint, we will be back very soon.

Popped in for lunch today for first time since re-opening. One from the specials for me..corned beef pie & hubs got steak & ale pie..all home made and delicious!! Washed down with a lush apple crumble & a cheesecake. Pub is a credit to the lads ..lovely to see it back!!

First time I have visited since it reopened. Popped in on a Monday lunch time, great service, friendly, and staff were really welcoming. Great food and great value. Good addition to west boldon. Will defo be back.

Been a few times since reopening, the food is absolutely amazing! Went for a sunday dinner today and it was perfect. Huge portions, decent price and good food. Can't ask for much more. Only dropped a star on service because it's a new team and still one or 2 small issues to work out.

Very good food but the service was not geat as the watrise took 1 of the plates while other people wer still eating but overall very good.

Our first visit since the pub has re-opened under new management and we will definitely be back, food was amazing the staff are so welcoming and friendly, even our dog was given treats.

Food was amazing proper pub grub I had steak and Guinness pie 😍 wow steak was big chunks and the gravy was amazing as well as the puff Pastry 😂 My husband had the burger and it was amazing he couldn’t clear his plate home made chips and coleslaw xx Amazing food and amazing atmosphere so friendly and dogs are welcome … On a Sunday they even do a doggy dinner 🥰❤️ This place is back on the map Paul and Matty are great lads give it a try you won’t be disappointed xxx

We all had the burger meal the burgers are so beefy the hole meal was very satisfying.

Fabulous sirloin steak, did not expect it to be so thick, chips were fab £15.95. Husband had belly pork and black pudding mash also fab £11.95. Would love to have had the crumble but far too full. Would defo recommend

Just had food and drinks and can honestly say both were fantastic. Matty & Paul made us feel welcome as soon as we walked in the door and honestly couldn’t do enough for us. Very attentive and really good crack with us. Will definitely be back

We had a takeaway Sunday lunch with pudding today , absolutely beautiful will definitely be having another , can't wait for next week , we are so happy the pub has reopened under new management as it's just over the road from us , you must try you won't be disappointed

This is my first time at the Wheatsheaf Inn and I can tell you one thing, I’ll be coming back again. The Sunday Roast was fantastic, exactly what you’d expect, home made roasties and gravy to die for. Staff were great and the desert options were equally brilliant. I’d highly recommend coming here for some feel good food or a few pints. See you again soon.

Our first visit since the re-opening for a Sunday Roast, the beef was falling off the fork it was that soft, cooked to perfection. Homemade yorkshire pudding, buttery Mash and really tasty gravy. 10/10 would absolutely recommend. Staff were super friendly and attentive. Lovely environment to be in, we will definitely be back!

I have been coming to the wheatsheaf for years as it’s local to me. I was sad to see the pub close but I and thrilled to see it reopen under new management who have done an absolutely fabulous job of redecorating. The staff and owners are so canny and made us feel so welcome. The food is just outstanding! We had prawns and chicken wings to start which were both so flavourful. We have the mixed grill and the burger both were amazing however the steak was cooked to such perfection we actually thought it was a fillet when infact it was a rump. To add the chips are just so good I ate till way beyond full as the portion sizes are generous! I am so excited to see this pub thrive under new management and get back to the buzzing local pub it once was! We will 100% be back for food and drinks! We also brought the dog and she was welcomed with lots of cuddles and treats! We had food and lots of drinks and found it to be very reasonable!

Left my phone on the table while I went to the bar and it mysteriously disappeared! The table was at the side of the bar so in the time it took for a pint to be poured it was snatched. Keep your possessions on you not a trustworthy or safe place.

Visited Leonardo's (upstairs) for the first time tonight and it was great - friendly staff, nice atmosphere and good food.

Not much atmosphere, strong smell of bleach.

Leanardo's (above Wheatsheaf) is a small but very good quality Italian restaurant with excellent friendly staff
