First time visit to Nando’s, not sure there’ll be a second, service was ok, one friendly waiter, otherwise not a lot of interaction, Food was a let down, for the price paid it wasn’t good, dry butterfly chicken breasts, a sauce described as “mild bbq” was far too fiery for our taste, cheesecake was passable, Refillable drinks were nice and good value, Overall, disappointing

Came here today and ordered the boneless platter for 2 alongside 2x spicy chips, creamy mash and some peas. Staff were really nice and polite and the food was delicious as always!

Mixed bag, we ate here three weeks ago, and again last weekend. We pretty much ordered the same order but the food just wasn’t as good the second time. The order was a full platter lemon and herb and a double chicken pitta hot, with sides. The second time the chicken platter just wasn’t as good the chicken breast had dried out. Ordering through the app is convenient but means server interaction and banter is very much reduced. It would be good if the app could be scanned at the till to make sure points aren’t lost (maybe you can already do this?)

Had a good meal, service was fast and staff were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was good and decor was nice as well. Would recommend to friends to come before a trip to the cinema as well.

This was our first time at this Nandos. Fantastic, warm friendly greeting when we arrived.We we taken through there menu and order process. Food and drinks arrived in a good time, and the food was piping hot and delicious.The best part of the experience was how lovely and friendly the staff were. Nothing was too much trouble, my kids even said how lovely the staff were (and they don't normally notice ha ha)Thank you guys we had a great time x

To celebrate the easing of Covid-19 lockdown we got a family platter £45. We haven't been to Nando's in over a year but enjoyed it last time. We ordered everything online and booked an 8:50pm click and collect time. I arrived outside at 8:45pm and received a phone call at 8:46pm to say they were out of chicken! and could I delay my arrival. I received this phone call four minutes before my pick up time. Where did they think I was going to be?I went inside and was told to wait in the seating area which had no sanitisation or social distancing.Surprisingly, considering I was informed that they had minimal staff because of the pandemic, there were six members of staff hanging around the entrance, definitely not observing social distancing . I was repeatedly asked my name and order number by each one. Really! I was the only person in the waiting area.When I eventually picked up my order the bag did feel a little damp on the bottom but I live less than five minutes drive away.What a nightmare . I arrived home to find it had leaked everywhere, all over the car and when I picked it up the paper bag just it fell apart with the contents going everywhere over my driveway.We picked up what was still contained and by this time I was just really looking forward to eating it but it was such a disappointment. The children had the plain chicken and husband and I had the medium. Both were dry and tasteless to the point of inedible.Coleslaw was sour.Corncob was overdone.Mash was lumpy.Garlic Bread was toughPeri Chips were quite nice.Thank goodness I had a pizza in the freezer.

Waited 2 hours for the final eat out help out meal and it was so worth it. Staff were lovely from the start and the place is pristine. Food came - WOW delicious and only £5 for a meal and two sides!

This place has gone right downhill. Staff are friendly, however food was disgusting. Don’t understand how a lemon and herb wrap can taste as spicy as a medium one... halloumi was stone cold when it first arrived, and the garlic bread was that burnt and hard you could knock someone out with it if you hit them with it. Also with the new way of doing things, we waited for ages for drinks when ordered, food arrived before drinks which is not normally the case, trying to catch staffs attention as they are too busy messing on with each other and customers who they personally know is impossible. Won’t be returning, very disappointed with how this place has turned out.

Normally have a Nando’s every week but haven’t been for a while and the visit wasn’t as good. Staff were welcoming and friendly, the chicken wasn’t up to scratch but the sides were fine. Felt like it took ages to be served our food, waiting 20 minutes for our halloumi cheese starter which should have took 5 minutes, wasn’t very impressed.

I visit this restaurant quite regularly with friends. The food is usually very tasty, there's only been the occasional hiccup but nowhere is perfect. The prices aren't bad, (especially with NHS discount, which is always appreciated), and the Nando's card is great for rewarding loyal customers. The staff are very approachable, happy, friendly and helpful and there's a great buzz in the air as it's often busy. I will definitely continue to eat here in future.

Only my 2nd ever visit to Nandos, amazing food as always, will have to make an effort to come more often.

I’ve been coming to Nando’s for around 20 years both in London and in the North East and the standard has really dropped. The Boldon store was pretty busy when we arrived at 7:30 and we were seated quickly and ordered our food. Mine being the roll with thigh with halloumi arrived and unfortunately the chicken was absolutely burnt to a crisp and was actually the tail end of the thigh was sooo tiny that it was only 2 mouthfuls if you were lucky!! They did take it back straight away and it magically reappeared within 4 minutes. You can see them taking the pre-cooked chicken from a drawer and throwing on the griddle which made me wince a bit when I left Only came here really as it was close to the cinema and we fancied something remotely healthy to eat but it was just so disappointing especially when a we paid £25 (no starters) and not really felt like we’ve enjoyed our meal and THATS with our 20% NHS discount!!

Got a takeaway on Friday from here and was so disappointed. Then to top the lot - I got home and there was no sauces in the bag like last time. Whilst I appreciate you maybe busy ( you clearly weren’t as there were three tables in use) I think the staff should ask customers just as a double check as not everyone buys bottles of the sauces for personal use.

As a couple we absolutely love Nando’s as a rule... BUT during a quick lunch stop today it took way longer than average for the food to arrive with us. Both meals had issues. My creamy mash was more dry and crumbly with a crunchy top than creamy (had clearly been sat under a heat lamp for too long...) and my husbands wings were rubbery and over cooked. (As an ex employee he knows how they should be) plus the food wasn’t very warm when it arrived. Just disappointed with it today.

Chicken business lunch . Nice restaurant but can sometimes a get a bit busy and Leary . Love the chicken they cook along with the sides. . Been a while but I’m sure the return will not be to long

We tried to visit the Nando’s in Gateshead but it was packed so we decided to go to boldon as it’s closer to home. Tbh we only visited because we had a £20 gift card. We booked a table but the waitress still wasnt sure if one would be available. I don’t like the fact there’s no table service. We stood in a lengthy queue to place our order. The starters were nice especially the red pepper dip. Our mains arrived as we were still eating our starters, which I find odd. There’s very little customer services. My main was average chicken pitta & spice chips( basically normal chips with spice seasoning on the top) & my partners double chicken burger was smaller than his pot of coleslaw. He wasn’t impressed. We won’t be returning

Was here yesterday with my son I had chicken pitta and spicy rice son had double chicken pitta rice and chips the chicken was lovely and moist delicious the staff are lovely and friendly and we didn’t wait long after ordering

Yes they are a chain and formulaic, but I have visited many. Sadly this outlet is not up there with the better outlets I have visited. There seems to often be a problem with standardisation of the levels of hotness between differing outlets. A problem in a formulaic chain where the differing levels of hotness are a key part of the process. For example some outlets Iin which I have eaten serve "medium" as extra hot in my experience, This one however definitely serves a very mild version of medium. OK, no problem in theory as bottles of sauce of varying levels of heat are also available. My son as usual poured and dipped some of the extra hot sauce. However it now appears that they are struggling with consistency for the refillable bottles of their sauce. This extra hot bottle was incredibly hot, hotter than any other bottles in other outlets he had tried. Chain = consistency in theory, get a grip Nandos. My 1/2 chicken was good, if underspiced, was definitely not dry as others have complained. However my usual side of rice was, very dry and unpleasant. Coke and coke zero self refillable drinks were weak and not of the right consistency of syrup v soda. Complained and were told it had been put right a few moments later.... but it had not.

Thought we’d try Nando’s for the very first time today with hubby and daughter and what a let down this place is our 3 meals come to £37 which is shocking prices. My husband ordered half chicken etc and the chicken was so dry he had to take a sip of water after each bit so got sick and left the lot. My chicken burger was so dry I couldn’t chew it. We will never return shocking food so dry

I just don’t understand why you can’t pre/book a table at Nando’s, esp when next to a cinema so everyone seems to enter at the same time.

Nice, friendly staff greet you at the door and seat you as quickly as possible. The food is delicious and the place has a good atmosphere

I eat at various Nandos on my meanderings as does my wife as it's usually reliable and we enjoy the food. This was a distinctly average visit to a branch I hadn't visited before. The branch was clean and well presented in the usual style for the chain, I was slightly perturbed to see cleaning materials left out in clear view though. I sat down at my table and promptly sloshed my drink all over it as it had a distinct wobble to it.

I visited with a group of 8 of us, when on a business trip with kids. Nando's is always a great place to take a group of kids as everyone loves a Nando's and its a simple method of paying etc!!

I had been to this nandos on a weekday and it was not busy .

That was my partners saying every time we’d go past a Nando’s as the rest of the family had been before more than once. To stop him saying this he was given a Nando’s gift card which we used as a take away to pick up we’d been to the cinema next door. We’d looked at the menu online before going in and he found it hard to settle on anything as he doesn’t like chicken on the bone or the skin on chicken so he settled for spicy rice, garlic bread and a medium chicken breast burger in an anaemia looking bun. That was his only complaint the bun was almost white, it didn’t look appetising but tasted fine. He enjoyed his meal and thought it was fair value for money. I had a grilled chicken wrap with lemon and herb with chips and although the chips needed warming when we got them home I thoroughly enjoyed it. As a Nando’s novice he found it quite canteenish when we went into order but it was very busy at that time (5.45pm) by 8pm it was a lot quieter. The decor was smart and clean. The staff were busy, organised well and very friendly and our order and collection went seamlessly.

So me and my partner hardly ever get a weekend off work together, we decided to go on a date to Nando’s. The chips were absolutely vile and frozen rock hard and icey cold.

This restaurant is always a must when going to Bolton for the cinema or supermarket. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food always comes out super quick. It's a lovely atmosphere and you're never rushed to leave, which is a bonus considering how little you wait for food to arrive.

This was our first visit to Nandos and we found it to be an enjoyable change. We were greeted by a very friendly and helpful employee who asked us where we would like to sit and if we had been there before. She then explained slowly and understandable how to choose and how to go about ordering the food and drink. The chicken dishes were good,with a choice of side dishes. There was also a good choice different sauces which added a good variation of flavours. The portion sizes were good and we look forward to visiting again to sample other menu choices

Last minute Sunday visit to our local Nando’s. Not been in a while, decided to get a starter which was brought with the mains which we weren’t overly pleased about. However the food was fresh, well cooked and we had a great service.

Always love a Nandos. Good service. Clean. Friendly accommodating staff. Clean bathrooms. Tasty food as usual.

Our two grandchildren love to go to Nando’s for there lunch they enjoy the refillable drinks and the burgers my wife and I tend to go for the wraps the food is always consistent and the quality is good although I think it’s a bit overpriced but a nice treat for the boys

Always a good day with a Nando’s involved. Can’t really go wrong with the service or food. Unfortunatly our starters came at the same time as the food so we just ended up with a lot of halloumi to go with the mains. Can’t really complain about too much halloumi though!

Been here today with my son his treat and trying to eat healthy had chicken pitta and sweet potato chips sweet corn was absolutely delicious and didn’t wait too long even tho it was very busy the staff were really helpful and friendly

We regularly visit here after the cinema or if we have been shopping but we always expect to wait for a table as it’s always full. Good service though and food is still with you in around 20-30 minutes.

Got my nandos after work very disappointed the chicken was very dry and and the corn was over burnt shame because a go to nandos every few weeks the staff are always happy to help and always friendly but was very disappointed with the food on this occasion...

Called in as having been to a Nando's for years ,although we must have been the oldest pair by 100 years ,were made so welcome by the staff and had a very nice meal with drinks for about £20 and really felt at home .excellent

Ordered takeaway for collection from this restaurant several times; staff are always friendly, food is always perfectly on time and cooked to the same quality as a sit-in Nando’s meal, packaged carefully in front of us in a Nando’s bag!

Great location, good size, plenty of parking. The best thing about Nando's is that you can make it as healthy as you wish. Most people like chicken and the toilets are always clean, whichever Nando's you're in.

We came here for a meal before the cinema and it was very busy. The interior is very funky and the staff are friendly. The food was very nice but there was a bone in my wrap,I mentioned this to the waiter who got the manager who was very apologetic and offered to give us meal vouchers which I thought was very nice and it was a rare mistake, I wouldn't let this put me off and I would definitely go back!!

Me, my partner and son visit Nando's one a fortnight - food is always spot on, refillable drinks are so handy, quality of food is always great and I love Nandos! Will be back next week! I need my fix.

Vine aquí con mi madre, que tiene requisitos específicos de dieta debido a la mala salud. It's chicken and chips with various hot sauces, it's cooked well enough and the half chicken portion is just enough to fill a hole, the portion size of fries is ok but the extras like coleslaw are a bit on small side.Ok for a quick meal definitely not for a date unless your 16

Could not fault a single thing, staff, food or service. Everything was perfect. We were in a rush and the staff could not have been more helpful, we were impressed by how quick our food came and the quality of the food was amazing. We have been to other Nando's restaurants and non of them compared to this one.

The service was great very quick and efficent, the chicken was cooked lovely, the starter of bread and hummus was very nice.

only my second time in a Nandos last one about 5 years ago so was not in a rush to go back and I now remember why. meal was ok but in the end of the day its just chicken and chips !. the place was busy and by the time we left they were queing out of the door. Staff were pleasant and the beer i had was good. Given how popuar the chain is it may be jsut me that does not get it.

Went to Nando's in cramlington with friend's had to send my chicken back as it wasn't cooked in the middle & was pink. The person I spoke to had forgotten about me, so I had to speak to the manager. He was full of apologies & offered me more chips & coleslaw with my meal. What he should of done was give me a free meal so I would go back, so now he has lost a customer because i won't be back

my waiter started singing whilst serving me which was incredibly odd and he couldn't even sing. he was quite smelly and wasn't even apologetic that he kept crawling over with the food. the food had hairs on and he even brought me the wrong order. I ordered beans on toast with gherkins and carrots and a side of potatoes and the potatoes wasn't even mashed it was hard boiled. I wanted the spiciest sauce and I got strawberry ice cream sauce. wtf. I don't intend on ever returning to this stinky store and if I do I hope I get a non singing nice smelling waiter. he also tried to charge me £7 for another fork because HE dropped mine on the floor. I hope everyone listens to my advice. afterwards I went to greggs for a sausage roll cos it was such a manky meal. bye. I also stuck my fingers up as I skipped out the broken door. I was also with my husband joe king who is related to the queen. so josh the waiter dispescted royalty.

Visited here as a party of 7 - 2 kids, 3 mid teens and 2 adults - to complete a visit to the cinema next door. We decided to go to Nando's and give it a try. I've never been before but thought the user experience was OK. Prices and options are clearly stated and portions were sufficient. The ordering process is straight forward and the staff pleasant. This restaurant is clearly popular as it was full but we were accommodated easily, given the size of our party. Although we were right next to a floor to ceiling window without a blind on a sunny day (so it did get quite warm and a couple of the kids moved around to avoid the direct sunlight). Pretty satisfied overall and at £10/head it worked out more than KFC would but I thought the quality merited the price (real plates and cutlery, glasses etc) with bottomless refills. Good all-round generally.

I just don't get it , it a restaurant chain that sells chicken, and yes it does taste like chicken, but it stops there, It's only the second time I've been and still just don't get why everyone raves about itThe medium spiced chicken had NO heat or spice to it at allThe chips are frozenO yeah the chips are extra , they are not included you have to pay for 2 sides and then chose chips as a side or something elseI mean whose going to order just a chicken Brest on a plateService was ok, nothing specialThe cheese cake was good mind, I'll give them thatI'll admit though I'll get dragged there again if I have to but there are much better places to eat

There is not a lot to say about Nando's; if you have been to one you have been to them all. If you like chicken and a variety of hot sauces you will not be disappointed.Don't forget to ask for discount (20%) for Armed Forces and some other groups.

Attended with a friend for food after the cinema, their first visit to Nando's. We ordered the Sunset burger with peri fries and garlic bread and the Chicken burger with peri fries and corn on the cob with refillable soft drinks. At £25 for what we had, it was a little pricey; the meals were good although our only complaints were that both of the buns were solid and inedible. I'm going to assume that they were pulled out of the freezer and popped into the microwave once we ordered and heated for too long, that's how they felt.As for the spicing, mine was manageable, I'd push it to Hot next time. My friend ordered Extra Hot and it was pretty mild according to him, I wouldn't like to take his word for it as I know everyone is different. The peri fries were good, really tasty. Staff were quick to serve us and we didn't wait long at all for food once it was ordered.

Nandos restaurant in Sunderland staff always helpful and everything done with a smile... food is excellent and if you are feeling brave try the xtra xtra hot sauce... visited this place on many occasions and never been disappointed... check it out

We visited nando,s for my birthday and it was actually our very first time we had been.we were greeted by very friendly staff who gave us a short tour and told how too order our food.we both plumped for the double chicken breast.i had the bean salad with chips and my wife had salad and creamy mash.the both meals were excellent.afterwards we had the white chocolate and raspberry swirl cheesecake,and it was amazing and must say the best cheesecake we have had.the young man who served us was called ROB and was exceptional,he gave us an extra bit of cheesecake as we were leaving .his presence as a server/waiter was very very good indeed and now that we have been we will definitely be going back.also the other staff were asking if we enjoyed ourselves too.overall I would give our visit 10/10.well done too all of the staff and chefs in the background.t hank you for a brilliant evening.cheers.mr and Mrs Stevenson.

All Nando's are the same to me, as with most chains. The veggie options are delicious. The staff at this branch really make it a great visit - friendly and attentive. Handy for quick tea before a cinema visit.

I have wanted to try Nandos (any Nandos) for a while now and on Saturday I got the opportunity whilst out shopping. Upon entering the building I was impressed with the layout, we joined a small queue and then were quickly seated at a nice window table and a menu given. We made our choice and then waited and waited (and waited) (nearly half an hour) for someone to take our orders. They were really busy so we gave them the benefit of the doubt but eventually I asked a passing waitress when someone would be over to take our order. Of course, she then informed me that you had to do the ordering yourself, so we felt like complete and utter fools. We ordered our meals and (ridiculously expensive) drinks. When the meal was served after about 15 minutes it was delicious, really delicious, but sadly, once again, no one bothered to inform us that you could refill your soft drinks as many times as you wanted so we ended up having only one each. It's a shame we were not better informed by the staff, we felt a bit let down hence only 4 stars instead of 5.

As you'd expect from Nando's; casual, tasty food in a youthful, friendly atmosphere. The staff were very attentive and went out of their way to help us (we were a big group of work friends). Would recommend for casual fast food.

Me and my husband visited here on 22nd October when going to the cinema. We both had the pepper dip to start with the half a chicken with two sides as the main. The food was really nice, was hot when it came and brought over quickly from ordering. The service was great too, they were all very friendly and very smiley! Would recommend and will definitely be back!

I just don't get it - if a pub served a piece of chicken and some warm chips for £10 nobody would come back - but the place is heaving. Can only assume it is brand power Tried this place 3 times now as it is handy for the cinema but disappointed each time . Keep trying different things as wondered if I had ordered badly. The wine is good though. Staff pleasant enough and never had to wait too longSummary - nothing special and it isn't cheap.

Another great Nandos. This is a new resturant which is pleasantly decorated. Staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful. There are plenty of seats.

Nando's is posh Chicken and Chips, while nice and tasty it is massively overpriced for what it is. Service is generally pretty good with friendly staff, wait times very between 10 minutes and 40 minutes depending on how busy it is. If going regularly get yourself a loyalty card to occasionally get free food.

Lovely meal a little bit pricy for what you get but all in all a nice meal with good choice of sauces starting from mild to very hot. Good service.

Nandos should really all be the same but this one is the best in our area. The food is always perfect and the staff are really nice. They leave you alone to eat unlike some nandos where the staff seem to be trained to bother you when your mouth is full.

I went with 2 other family members recently and had the Extra hot chicken wings. They were overpriced and of average hotness. The tables were not that clean and the atmosphere was of a high street cafe. Not even up to the standards of fast food chains like McDonald's. The pricing was in the range you'd expect in a proper restaurant with waiters and waitresses, but here you have to go and order your food yourself and get your own drinks.I had been wanting to try a Nandos for quite a few years and this was very disappointing.

This can be a very busy restaurant as it's next to a cinema but when we visited midweek early evening it was quiet. The usual choice of food, ordered and served quickly. The staff were excellent, friendly but not intrusive.The interior looked a little shabby but we went for the food not the decor.Will definitely go back

Way over priced for what you get and have to go to bar to order which took ages feel like for that price should be order at table

We often eat here and I've never had cause for complaint. It's Nandos. Its chicken, nice chicken, however you want it cooking. The rewards system is really good and we often claim back a full chicken!

We went in before pictures I got Peri nuts to start but my main was 1/2 chicken with coleslaw and the new side Supergrains it was lovely and service was fab so we will return x

Had a really tasty chicken lunch with my 2 kids aged 6 and 9. What was meant to be a quick lunch after the cinema as a change from macdonalds was pretty expensive costing £50. The bottomless fizzy drinks were £ 2.50 each meaning between us we spent a tenner on pop and the kids portions were tiny would prob only be suitable for under 5's

Always used to use Sunderland nandos but this is Definitely my favourite nandos in the area now and with excellent customer service. Fab food too!

The meal at this nandos in my opinion is better than anywhere else, they always get the order right unlike some of the other nandos I have been to which forget to bring your starters as a starter!, The staff here are very friendly and happy to help! It is always very clean which makes you feel more comfortable when dining out

I'm a regular here and that's for a reason!! Great service I've never not had a bad experience the staff here are great. The food comes out quickly and is always very tasty. I'm a victim of always getting the same thing of the menu because it's soo good. I'm always in the mood when my partners says those magic words "fancy a cheeky nandos"

Popped into nandos for takeout after the cinema. Half a chicken and sweet potato wedges. Chicken was lovely good size. Most of the sweet potato wedges were nice apart from 2 wedges which weren't cooked enough and crunchy nandos need to work on the cooking of these

I should start off by saying that I am a Nando's fan... I always thoroughly enjoy my meal and my time there!At the Nando's at Boldon, both times I have had chicken wraps, which I have thoroughly enjoyed. The staff have been well organised and efficient in processing orders in a polite manner and I can never complain. If you've been to Nando's before, Boldon continues the high standard this restaurant delivers, with in my opinion a better atmosphere in the restaurant in Newcastle or Durham.

Nando's is good wholesome reasonably priced food but is pretty limited in what it offers. I have friends who rave about Nandos and tell me, " you must try it". Well I have several times. Each time I do, I enjoy the food, Service is professional and it is reasonably priced.But the reality is Chicken , chips, macho peas is really just chicken chips and peas no matter how many hot sauces you might try with it.It is really just good quality fast food . Better than McD's better than KFC but nothing to write home about.Whilst I like the food there is not the variety to keep tempting me back and if it was not for the fact it is close to the cinema my visits would have been less frequentI will visit again but it is not really restaurant dining and i would not look upon it as a special meal out.

i popped in for my first visit as we were going to see Star Wars, I was a little early and first in, a waiter with a beard spotted me at the door and took me to a suitable table. Recognising that this was my first time, he went through the menu & ordering system etc, even brought me a sample to see which style of chicken I would prefer! Amazed and well pleased with the service, I opted for pitta & red pepper dip to start, followed by a double chicken burger with the lime & mango with side of chips and rice.Unfortunately the chicken was almost stiff cold, it was busy and we would of been late for the film so I didn't raise it at the time. I do hope this was a one off as all in all was pleased.
