Disappointed, a choice of 1 sandwich, quiche or pie, cheese scone or fruit, choice of 1 cake. They got our order wrong sent it back, they then brought back wrong quiche, didn't bother asking to change it for second time. I ordered chicken and avocado expecting fresh avocado but it was more like guacamole. TBH not what I expected at all ! Not worth £51

The biggests sandwich you could ever imagine was had this day. Bread was beautiful, filling fresh and home made coleslaw to die for. The sandwiches here are a meal that will last you all day. If you do love cake, then take a bit home with you, or you will regret it

Stayed in hotel for one night to celebrate wedding anniversary. Room was perfect, clean with a comfortable bed. We had lunch, evening meal and breakfast. All were delicious. Staff very pleasant and chatty.

Food was excellent with great portion sizes and the service was also great and just the right level of attentiveness really enjoyed the food and location

Out for a Sunday drive. Decided to stop for Sunday lunch. Just had the sharers platter. Plenty of meats (3 kinds),vegetables and Yorkshire pudding. Everything cooked to perfection. Will definitely visit again.

Found this place by doing a web search for “best breakfast in Alnwick”. Big car park.. Attentive professional staff. Nice dining room (with a little shop) Great coffee. Quality breakfasts - one ‘full’ and one Foxy scone I think it was called. Good sausages! Two slight observations. I’m never a fan of places taking what could have been a lovely moist piece of bacon and flattening it and essentially drying it out so it’s stiff as a board, but hey ho, it was bacon I suppose. Also (and this happens absolutely everywhere in my experience - which is a bit odd) when beans come in a separate ramekin (if that’s the right word) they’re never piping hot. Overall it was a great visit.

Went for lunch and I have to say my wife and granddaughter enjoyed theirs but mine was decidedly average. The problem was I got pretty excited when I saw home made steak pie, roast potatoes, peas and gravy on the specials board. When it arrived it was like an individual pie that that you can buy from any supermarket, that comes wrapped in cellophane wrapper, think Hollands etc. I was so disappointed. The staff were lovely and they have some lovely cakes, we too a couple home.

We ordered a takeaway pizza, which was well cooked and very tasty. There's a fair choice of toppings, so everyone should be suited. We were staying in Amble, but it was still warm when we got back!

We stopped in for something to eat after visiting family and were very disappointed with the quality of the meal. My partner ordered the Trio of Longfram Sausages, and he said none of it was freshly cooked but had been reheated, and there was nothing sweet or crispy about the onions. I tried them, and they were like chewy pieces of string with no flavour whatsoever. My mum had the scampi and chips, but I'm pretty sure triple cooked doesn't mean cooking them on three separate days. My Gammon Steak was okay, but again, the chips that came with it were not freshly cooked. I will not be recommending this place to anybody.

My second visit with my wife first a bit chaotic due to our young granddaughter, this one more civilised my wife had fresh quiche and salad myself the chicken club sandwich the best I have eaten generous amount of chicken and bacon served with fresh coleslaw and salad a side portion of chips I struggled to finish it well worth the money with good attentive service.
