The best restaurants in North Heaton Newcastle upon Tyne North East

I can't begin to describe how **Utterly Outstanding** this lovely cafe is. If there was ever such a place as a utopia of Italian food, this is it, it is simply perfect. Staff is beyond friendly, food is heaven in your mouth and the coffee is brilliant.

Amazing food very tasty, and excellent service, was given a try of the chicken first to make sure I liked it which showed excellent customer service also.

First visit to the tiny restaurant Sobremesa. What a delight. The wine recommendation was spot on, and the small plates were fabulous. Highly recommend.

Visited on a Sunday earlier this month. Firstly they were brilliant at fitting us in at short notice and not rushing us at all, even though we knew the table was only available for a short time. Absolutely lovely staff, delicious food, wonderful atmosphere and vibe. Also brilliant to find somewhere serving galettes. We'll be back very soon, including to try the afternoon tea, which other customers were eating while we were there and looked fab!

One of the best coffee shops in Heaton, if not the best! This hidden gem has some of the best made milkshakes and is such a nice place to sit quietly and enjoy a drink while reading a book or simply watching the time go by. Very friendly staff with a lovely atmosphere, just walking into this coffee shop you immediately feel at ease. I used to go there with my friend who had disabilities and the staff where always so friendly and respectful towards him, taking the time to help him choose from the menu and decide where he wanted to sit, well worth a visit if you are ever in Heaton.

First time using this Chinese takeaway and definitely won’t be my last! Delicious food, good portions & great prices, can’t go wrong!

First time we have used this restaurant and without doubt it’s the best Chinese food we have ever eaten. Great selection of food and a good price. The staff were extremely friendly both when taking our order and also when we picked the food up. Will certainly be using this takeaway in the future Mick and Maxine

Just been Wednesday 6.15. Closed and no sign on the door to say why. Web site says open.

Went there last night for a friend's birthday. Got one word for the evening....... WOW!!!! The food and service were both fantastic. The boys all ordered individual starters and then we had a selection of main courses that we all shared. Got to say the food was delicious and the ingredients you could tell were fresh. Umar who is either the owner or the manager recommended the main courses and they all went down a treat. Above all a magnificent meal with very reasonable prices. Will be back here again very soon.

The chicken was hard as old boots. Toppings just slid off the pizza. Chips were pretty cold. Most of the food has went in the bin so disappointed 😞

Have been coming here on/off for months. The food is really good. There is however, often a long wait for it, partly due to things being cooked to order and possibly because there's only one member of staff taking orders and managing the bar. Fine if there's one or two tables in, but not if it gets busier. Not sure if the staff/client ratio changes later in the evening as always go early.

Theres inflation then just pricing yourselves out the market. Wow 👋👋👋

Excellent service and delicious hot food.

Guinness was VERY bitter, barely held it’s head and had to switch to snakebites swiftly after trying two. Staff seemed more interested in chatting amongst themselves than actually service and despite being busy the whole bar just feels flat
