Food was absolutely abysmal, worst Chinese I have ever received from here, also just been informed it has been taken over

Not sure if this has been taken over but ordered today and it was awful .ordered stir fry and it came deep fried, the sauce was very vinegary and not to normal standards fried rice and chips ok.. when calling in the orderi was asked to hold and the wait was long while I could hear people ordering at the counter and a angry Chinese conversation. Will not order from here again despite being a customer since opening

Disappointed with our meal tonight ordered house special chow mein ^ prawn & mushroom tasteless very oil ,prawns rubbery will not be ordering again

Used this takeaway for the first time a couple of weeks ago after a recommendation from family as our usual takeaway when a bit downhill. It’s the best Chinese we have had in a longtime, not greasy, and super tasty. Highly recommend the crispy honey chilli chicken and chicken fried rice. Will 100% be making this our new local

Last week, I had my first time ordering from this takeaway, and it was an incredible experience. We ordered spicy chips, chicken fried rice, curry sauce, prawn sweet and sour, and chilli honey chicken. These dishes were absolutely delicious, and I will definitely be ordering from them again in the future.

First time we have used this restaurant and without doubt it’s the best Chinese food we have ever eaten. Great selection of food and a good price. The staff were extremely friendly both when taking our order and also when we picked the food up. Will certainly be using this takeaway in the future Mick and Maxine

Easily my new favourite Chinese takeaway. Consistently nice every single time, super fresh food and so so tasty. There's a few Chinese takeaways not a million miles away that are also really nice but New Emerald is in a completely different league above the rest! You won't regret getting your Chinese from here!

Just had spare ribs with Cantonese sauce ribs had loads of meat on King prawn chicken Cantonese was very nice portion size was quite substantial will be back to try other dishes off the menu.

The owner who answers phone is so friendly & polite and will help you with any queries of ingredients. Delivered in time & red hot. Free prawn crackers & fortune cookies as well as vouchers for offers. The crispy king do chicken is the best I’ve had anywhere, not hard & chewy like some places, it’s proper tender chicken breast. Salt & chilli chips are fab! Well done New emerald, we will be back again…and again..and again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Best Chinese takeaway delivery by a mile - we ordered last night and I honestly felt like it was the best we've had in years - so much so we both sat in disbelief! First of all service is second to none - telephone manners and attention to detail are so appreciated 👍🏻 The food is always FRESH - like it's just been cooked especially for you & the veg is always crisp...it's weird what I'm about to say but you can tell that oils are changed when they should be, and that it must be a very clean kitchen environment - you can see it in the quality of the food, meals are always immaculately presented and piping hot on delivery - we've had a variety of mains and sides from here and none have dissapointed all have been exceptional - and they never forget the cans of pop! Can't recommend enough ...so much so I'm gonna order again tonight! 😆

Use this Chinese regularly but last couple of times the chips have been barely cooked. Tonight (Saturday), was the poorest they've been !! Definitely undercooked and the curry was tasteless after usually being lovely so what's changed??

Since the shop has been taking over by the new owners the food is outstanding by far the best Chinese food we have had in a very long time. We have definitely found our new Chinese takeaway.

Great to see the shop open again after such a long time of being closed. The food is great value for money and portion sizes are exemplary. Ordered a few dishes including the Singapore Vermicelli which was bursting with flavour, and not shy on the meats and king prawn. The staff are very friendly, and take care in their work. I will be returning.

I have been a customer of Emerald House and before that Pearl city for a long time. I can honestly say I have never had poor quality food or service from this takeaway. Food is always delivered piping hot and delicious. The staff including the delivery lad are friendly and efficient.

Ordered in the shop and when we got the food home only 5 minutes away the food was cold. Obviously just re heating food that has already been made. Nothing fresh about it and the prawns in the dish were still cold Won't be back as there is a much better takeaway called the the Goldengate in walker

Food cold , can't understand how when it's supposed to be just cooked . Didn't have much taste either. If you enjoy Chinese food give this one a miss.

Rubbish compared to pearl city tasteless food and ingredient quality has gone down hill. Been using for 20 years looking for a new Chinese now :(

Just as pearl city was, all that's changed to me is the name. Food is still fantastic and nowhere else I've been to comes even close to how good it is here.

Food is top notch. Just as good as it use to be when was Pearl city! No where else in the area comes close. DELICIOUS. 5 stars from me👌
