Handy little community cafe for park visitors of all ages. Central location in Walker Park overlooking the play area. The Victorian park is surprisingly big and has benefited from an impressive restoration. Reasonable prices and friendly staff.

A group of us go most Fridays for coffee, scones (or whatever takes our fancy) and a natter. Very good value for money, the friendliest of staff who always have time for you and a nice friendly environment. Dogs are allowed in the cafe which is great and water always available for them. Lots of activities going on most days. Give it a try!

We had catering for 60 people and the sandwiches and cakes went down very well. There was plenty of food! What was left was given to the nearby refugee centre and was much appreciated. We specifically asked for some sandwiches to be vegetarian and these were provided, very tasty and well labelled. The food was very affordable - another quote we had was for double the price per head. Thank you very much. We are also delighted to have supported a social enterprise doing providing such important training and work for young people.

Took the kids to the park on a Sunday afternoon. As it was around lunch time we decided to try the cafe. The Sunday lunch was great value for money. It isn't going to win any Michelin stars however for what you pay it's well worth it. Service was great and the food was tasty.

Really lovely chicken dinner with all the trimmings. Just over a fiver including pudding. Tasted as good as home cooked. And it's run by the local YMCA charity to boot!

The William IV on High street is a local pub in Gateshead that offer a decent range of beers and was one of several pubs that we visited on a day out around Gateshead. A solid old style boozer that is housed in a traditional pub style building'the interior is again a traditional pub interior with lots of good seating options and an outside area at the back with extra seating options. I don't know why but I adore going to pubs like this as it brings me back to when I first started drinking many years ago and most of the pubs I visited where like this. This pub was very busy when we visited as where most pubs we went to in Gateshead and when here we had a couple of bitters from the John Smith's brewery which were well served and priced. This is another superb local boozer and is well worth visiting as the staff were friendly and they offer a well priced range of beers and is very easy to locate from High Street bus stop it's a minute's walk.(This is my first review of the William IV). Opening Hours. Monday-Thursday-10.00-23.30. Friday-Saturday-10.00-00.30. Sunday-10.00-23.30. Nearest Bus Stop. High Street bus stop.

I recently visited Côte and had the pleasure of enjoying a delicious English breakfast. The food was perfectly prepared, with each element cooked to perfection, from the crispy bacon to the creamy scrambled eggs. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a cozy yet vibrant ambiance that made the experience even more enjoyable. The staff were attentive and friendly, adding to the overall charm of the place. Whether you’re looking for a hearty breakfast or a spot to relax and soak in a great vibe, Côte is an excellent choice. Highly recommend!
