Giving one star because there was a family in with two kids all were rather filthy loadand kids dropping food from the buffet parents not doing nothing about it staff had to keep picking up the food people like that will spoil this restaurant this was on the 8th November table booked for 6 spoilt my daughter in law birthday

Busy for a Monday evening, service was excellent, food hot and tasty and plenty of choice, and we enjoyed ourselves. Would visit again.

Disappointed got so much hairs in meat when i asked to manager he just make excuses . Not recommended

Had a terrible experience at Aneesas Buffet. After eating there, I ended up with severe stomach cramps, and vomiting. The food quality was awful, and it wasn't just me—my friends got food poisoning too. Definitely not worth the risk.

Recommended for people who are heavy eaters but also want to enjoy vast variety of taste. A very decently priced buffet with most of the Asian / pakistani dishes (commonly found in UK) on the counters. Full points for price. In terms of taste it does not disappoint. Some dishes are very good with some being just average I taste. Overall in taste for any traditional asian taste bud I would rate somewhere between average and good. However would recommend for people to try as much variety charged very decently.

My husband and I went to Aneesa’s Newcastle on Wednesday 9th Oct for an evening meal. Not from this area so the first time we had visited on a recommendation from a friend. Lovely greeting from the Duty Manager De Souza, who continued to make us feel so very welcome taking us through the process and areas of the help yourself restaurant. Food was excellent - very authentic for an Indian restaurant but also offered alternatives. Drinks were also reasonable price. Atmosphere is welcoming but layout of tables etc is typical of a restaurant of this nature - ok but not particularly comfortable or private, I guess to accommodate for the turnover! It’s great food though - would recommend.

The food was average if not worse with stale nuggets and a very small variety of food, but the service was friendly and efficient. Unfortunately, the atmosphere was lacking—humid and hot with little to no ventilation in the entire hall. Needs improvement for a better dining experience.

I have been meaning to try this place for a long time. Went to the south Shields Aneesa's a long time ago and never had any complaints. Plus the supermarket they have is also top notch. The Newcastle Aneesa's is top notch. Very very friendly helpful staff. If you've not been before a well informed member of staff shows you the ropes. Ordered the kingfisher on draught to go with the very reasonable buffet. Clean draught beer. Always a very good sign. Massive selection of not just Indian food but carers for other palates as well. Soup,pizza, Chinese as well as basic food. Nuggets etc.. the Indian menu selection is vast and the sides of yogurt and mango chutney as well as my favourite of mixed pickle and many others can be heaped if that's what you like. So many starters. So many mains of hot(heat) food that I only scratched at the surface and can't wait to go back again to try more. Then the desserts. Not really got a sweet tooth but saw a few classics that I thought I would try and thoroughly enjoyed. Can't wait to go back and will be trying even more. Keep up the good work and the great service.

Work night out with colleagues from other parts of UK. We all enjoyed the range of food available. Staff were attentive and helpful. I use a walking stick and was offered a named waiter to assist me in carrying plates, etc. Another colleague has allergies, the duty manager went through everything with him to ensure he was safe. There is also a small lift if you use a wheelchair or can't manage the stairs (5 or 6). Excellent service and lovely place to enjoy a meal for any occasion. It was very popular, even on a Tuesday evening. I will definitely return.

A Horrific Experience - A Serious Matter of Concern I visited Aneesha restaurant today along with six friends for a dinner party, expecting a pleasant evening. However, what transpired was nothing short of appalling and utterly unacceptable. While having our starters, we were horrified to discover a metal wire in the platter. This was not only shocking but posed a serious health hazard. Such negligence in food preparation is inexcusable and dangerous. What made the situation worse was the manager's completely indifferent response. Instead of addressing this grave issue with the seriousness it deserved, he attempted to downplay the incident by offering us a complimentary drink, as if that could resolve such a critical health and safety concern. This was an extremely disappointing experience, and it raises serious questions about the restaurant’s hygiene and management practices. I strongly urge the management to take immediate corrective action to ensure this never happens again, as such incidents cannot be brushed off lightly. I would advise others to be cautious when dining here, as our experience was both unsettling and deeply unsatisfactory.

Top notch food all made fresh. The kebabs are top dog I eat them out haha the flavour is second to none. They are not like ya rubbish take aways .... GIVE IT AGO YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED....

Hands down Aneesa's Buffet Restaurant is the best in Newcastle Upon Tyne if not the North East; staff are one of the most courteous and professional and the food is absolute freshest, well presentable and great taste. Special thank you to the manager Desouza who is at the top of his profession, keeping staff organised, service efficient and standards to the highest...they even assisted my mother who is a wheelchair user by taking her to the buffet and carrying the food back. I could not be more grateful to the manager or the team...amazing

Had a great experience start to finish. Staff were incredibly polite and helpful. Every station was explained once they learnt it was our first time at the restaurant. They came by regularly to clear empty plates and check if we needed more drinks. Food variety was great. Standout dish for me was the lamb korma with garlic naan. Good desserts also - I recommend the gulab jamun and ice cream combo.

I’ve been there in last night most of the non veg food items are not cooked properly, the lamb pilau rice is dried and most of the items are unavailable the staff doesn’t even care to refill and some of the items are too salty and service is terrible, when the waiter guide me to the table the table wasn’t cleaned properly some food bits on the table , even though he is not even wipe with cloth he just throw with hand and ask us to sit , I’ve raise these things to the management they are not bothered at all they says u r the only person complaining and I’ve said like I found the things which is not right so I’ve raise the dispute they don’t even care about whatever am saying , I’ve told them like if u feel am lying I will stand here and go and check the items which I’ve said , they don’t even dare to go there all they says is we will speak with upper management I don’t know , i wouldn’t recommend anyone who loves food and wants to try a nice experience don’t even dare to try there u would upset u r stomach

We have been a few times. The staff are very friendly & always go out their way to make sure you have everything you need. Especially as we always go in a big group & with kids.I definitely recommend this place as there is so much variety & something for everyone!

Brilliant place to eat, all the food was delicious and the duty manager De Souza was fabulous, started off with my dad hitting his hand on the door (totally his fault) and he got him some ice, as it was birthday celebration he approached me and offered cake discretely and the off menu cocktails were wonderful I had a sea breeze and mum had a whiskey one. Will be back

A quality restaurant in the heart of Newcastle serving a variety of cuisine, satisfying all aged people from different cultures. There is a large array of yummy starters. The lamb dishes are amazingly cooked, falling off the bone. The grill is great- thank you to the grill counter. You will enjoy the ambience, care, service and most of all, the food.

I was utterly astounded by the sheer variety of food on offer at Aneesa's Buffet in Newcastle. As a lover of Chinese cuisine, I was in food heaven, but the temptation to try everything was overwhelming. The dishes I sampled were all incredibly flavorful and fresh. Even the pizzas looked incredible, although I sadly didn't have room! It's a culinary marvel how they manage to maintain such high quality across such a vast menu. I only wish I lived closer! This place is perfect for groups as there's something to satisfy everyone's taste buds.

I don't even know how to put into words how good this restaurant was, Absolutely outstanding best buffet I've been to in the uk. We were down from Scotland for a few nights, and this was one of the highlights. The staff were so welcoming and polite, and the food was so fresh and well cooked. I'm a big curry fan, and these are the best I've ever had! They all have spice ratings, but everything is spicier than what you expect, but that's a good thing for me 😂 thank you again, aneesas. Large buffet type restaurant with loads of choice, mainly Asian food, but some other food is available. It was a birthday celebration, cake and birthday song was done by staff

Where do I start, went to Annessa’s many times before and the standard was high, however last night the customer service was terrible. 15 of us came, 15 mins after we arrived one of the fans stopped working leaving the place to heat up so much. No one felt like eating as it was boiling, which is very inconvenient for a buffet. Ice machine broken, told they were finished of some desserts, men’s toilets were disgusting. We asked for ice they sent it to the wrong table, then gave us ice 2 mins before we left. They’ve lessened the variety and the standard of the curries were down too. Worst £350 spend and they told us the heat was not our problem and that no other restaurants would take us on. We also use akbars which is an amazing restaurant with no issues at all no booking required. (we tried to book told us no need then got penalised for not booking). The manager said “not our problem” to every point raised so the customer service was disgusting. AVOID

I would say this is amazing by value for money! There is so much to choose from and plenty to enjoy even if you aren’t a curry lover, including Chinese, pizza and more. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and will show you where everything is if it is your first time. It is canteen style so nothing fancy but great if you want a cheap and cheerful meal where you can choose your portions.

We have visited Aneesa’s quite a few times now over the years and everytime it’s full. Which speaks volumes. The food quality is amazing and there is a lot of choice whether you like spice or not, with options for picky children too like chips & chicken nuggets. We always have a great time & walk away with a full belly & a smile.

Great food, very busy so make sure to reserve. Service could be a little better. Been going to annesa since their first branch. This one is another level of success and greatness extending their empire. Wish them best of luck and hope they maintain their food quality. Get a jug of mango lassi as you will need it since some of the food is on the spicy side.

I would say this is one of the UK's best buffets. The food is really awesome. Starters and desserts are really delicious. We were 6 adults and one infant (6 months). We had a really good time. We visited on a Saturday. It gets crowded around 2 pm. I would recommend having lunch over there around 12.30 pm. It is not as crowded. Bottomless soft drinks are not available. It is a very good buffet option for Desi People.

This restaurant excels in every aspect, with nothing to complain about. However, be cautious of their complimentary cakes, as they come with an unexpected charge. The manager approached our table and offered a cake to celebrate my boys’ graduation. However, the final bill included a charge of £11.95 for the cake.

Huge range of buffet with variety of Currys🍛, Snacks🧆 and Desserts🍨. I would recommend to take off the Red coloured onion salad (there's plenty of 🔴 colour in it)......

Everything about this place is amazing. They allowed me to change my booking last minute. The staff are all so friendly and make you so welcome and nothing is a bother if you need anything. The food is so nice honestly some of the nicest I've ever had. Reasonable prices across the board. Restaurant is immaculately clean. Huge compliments and I'll definitely be back.

Buffets can be disappointing at times. Angela's on the quayside was organised, efficient. Food was varied, well displayed, good quality and continuously replenished. De Souza the duty manager was courteous and considerate to me as a solo guest. Well done, thoroughly enjoyed and good value

Outstanding food ! Such a huge variety of dishes and cooked really well. I have never been to a buffet with such a large choice in Indian food before. Everything I tried was beautiful. They recommend you try just one piece of everything so you get to taste the variety of dishes. We did that to start with but just couldn’t get through everything there was so much to choose from. Staff were really friendly. Restaurant is lovely. We didn’t book beforehand but it was early evening when everyone was in pub. I Imagine it gets really busy but I can see why.

Staters are great loved all lamb items…… main course is not good…. Naan is hard and dry… I would expect soft puffy naan… Kheer and semya was great… Gulab jamoon is too sweet and hard… Ice cream is artificial….not creamy vanilla ice cream Ambience is okay not advised for special occasions…. Plates are dirty and cleanliness is not great.. Rest rooms are dirty I was late for the booking but I called to inform but no one responded and when I reached host was rude for being late… I visited Birmingham’s Jimmy spices and shahi masala and they are great…. We can visit once…. I won’t go back again….

The duty manager welcomed us with a very friendly attitude and gave us helpful recommendations, the staff also regularly checked on us making sure we had everything we needed! The duty managers De Soula was so lovely and informative and very helpful he chatted so lovingly about his team and made us feel very welcome on our first visit. Usama was an amazing server and very efficient. Big shout out to Mubeen on the grill. Definitely be back as it was just excellent. Food was beautiful and tons of variety. Almost all food types are filled with crazy amount of highly saturated fats. Swamped in it. Couple of spoons and you feel really full with subsequent abdominal cramps and difficulties. Never again !

Food was rather bland the currys all had a sweet taste to them and the rice. the chinese food tasted better and its a indian restaurant toilets wasnt that nice smaahed toilet seat and needed cleaning!! Woulsnt go bk in a hurry .. but the service of ths staff was good !and parking is terrible in that underground when u have a big car !!

Absolutely horrendous service I went yesterday evening around 7pm. All food was cold spoke to a manager who was useless I filed a complaint via email and awaiting on an update.

Very nice,loads of choice and plenty of seating,the buffet is good but your not allowed free access to the desserts which i thought was odd esp at £24 per head but overall a good restaurant.

We where greeted very kindly by whom we later found out was the duty manager, his name was De Souza.. he explained the process and loved that we where brought to him by the reviews left by others.. The staff on the grill and floor where lovely and the tables where very well looked after! Plenty of food that was cooked extremely well, I asked for the names of the staff who where taking care of everything whilst we where there.. so that I could say a thank you here to them here, so Thank you for such lovely service Umair, Bachirr and Hamed.. Hyder you literally collected every plate with such a lovely smile and had such a lovely table service it was so lovely so thank you very much.. we will definitely be returning for the service and the Lamb Ribs 🧡✨

Really enjoyed our meal here, food was lovely the staff were really friendly and it's totally accessible for me in my wheelchair. They even offered for a staff member to follow me round the buffet and carry my plate for me!

Took my little boy for his birthday as he loves the food options and the service provided was just excellent! The guy there made such an effort, checked in to make sure everything was ok, although he was running wild but he had the best time, they brought the cake out and he’s face just lit up! I just want to say a massive thank u to the team and I will definitely be back! Very much appreciated!

Should be 20 no more plus free drink so the more you drink the less you eat good for customers it's cheaper good for the boss earns more from food saving 😉

Went on a Friday evening.. Birthday meal. But they didn't know until. I told them. Friendly staff. They had a few poepe celebrating their birthday they charge 11.99 for a song a cake and a picture.. The cake was nice.yummy choclate fudge cake. The food looked fresh tasted edible.. Desserts were not the best it was standard buffet style in my opinion. Would I come again sadly no.

Huge buffet restaurant with most tastes covered. Chicken nuggets and fish fingers for the kids, pizza and Chinese for those who don't like Indian food.

It's no wonder Aneesa's just keeps on going. Consistently good variety, quality and great staff. You'll never leave hungry from this place! So clean too!

We had bad experience there today. Food was tasteless.

There is a big variety of food, but the standard of quality has gone downhill, the food is not as tasty as it used to be, the dessert section should be put back to how it used to be when you could put in your own dessert and not having to que up.

Disappointed to have to get a member of staff after nearly 30 minutes to order drinks as nobody had asked us what we wanted. We saw other staff members showing people around the buffet area, but we were just shown to the table and left to fend for ourselves. Haven't been to aneesa since 2019 and not sure we will be rushing back. I felt ill straight after leaving and my wife was unwell all night. Not sure if related. Also, other reviews commended the desserts but we noticed quite a few looked suspiciously like supermarket cakes and bites.

Food is tasty, but some times they just kept the food for very long time at the same container and possibly some left over mixed, need to improve their standards

Food was excellent and haleem was my favourite and all dishes are superb and I would recommend highly.

Place is always alive and the food never disappoints

The cuisines were delicious and the staff are courteous, helpful and respectful, however, the atmosphere was much noisier than expected. At times, it looked more like an orphanage than a restaurant. The restaurant management should advise Asians families to groom their children so that they realise they are no more in a village to run around and make loud noises. If the diners become considerate, then, Aneesa can become one of the best restaurants in the North East.

If I could even put no stars I would, we came in celebrating our Eid with 12 lads and the customer service was stinking total unfairness let other people in in our face but offered no help to us what so ever and told us to wait till 10 o clock when there was big tables empty, not recommended at all absolutely disgusted.

First people in at 4pm, opening. Table was dirty, food tasted boiled/sweaty like it had been sat under steam for so long, it was tasteless. It was freezing inside also, Definitely dont reccomend and i Definitely wont ever go back.

Had a lovely meal at the restaurant! I was worried that at 4pm booking, just as it opened, would mean reheated food from the day before but I was wrong! The food was fresh, hot and tasty! The staff were attentive and polite Desouza, the deputy manager and Muhammad, the floor manager, were both engaging and lovely! Would definitely consider visiting again if I was local!

Best buffet in Newcastle I would say(Though I’ve only been to Cosmo, Buffet King at Metro Centre and China Cook in Blyth). The staff were very welcoming, and the quality of the food was very high and amazing. I usually don’t expect ice cream at buffets to be good, but even the desserts were fantastic - ice cream was so creamy and fresh! The Indian style puddings were great too. I personally really liked chicken achari, palak paneer, chickpea curry and biryani. It’s full of spices and umami. I found curry such as korma and chicken tikka too sweet.

An amazing experience every time we visit. The staff are always attentive and extremely polite. The food is delicious. The atmosphere is great. I would highly recommend visiting, you will not be disappointed! A special mention to Bachir on the grill and Abdul on the floor who were great! Also, De Souza the manager who is always welcoming and provides excellent customer service.

The food is great, staff are lovely, especially the duty manager who introduced me and my partner to a new dessert which was very sweet, delicious. Great experience 😊
