Persian bite in Newcastle upon Tyne

Popped into Persian bite today after passing it many times, very welcoming and the food and service absolutely on point we shall return thanks richi & Julie

Beautiful food. I had a craving for pesian food and this was done exactly right!

We celebrated Iranian New Year with a feast from this restaurant, and it was an absolute delight! Coordinating food for six different families can be a challenge, but the owner managed it spectacularly. From the moment I spoke with the owner to place our order, to the moment the food arrived, everything was seamless. Each dish was meticulously prepared, and the flavors were exceptional. Our guests were thrilled, and we couldn’t have been happier with our order. Highly recommended for any special occasion!

Food and quantity is really good . My favourite is Saturday special Lamb dish. Weekends and some of the week days are really busy . They accept cash only and parking is tricky sometimes. I recommend only eat in food as a good option.

2 pieces Frozen meat come from lamb neck waitor only heats up one piece left other frozen piece on my plate expecting to pay for a full meal all male waitors have bad attitude too

First time visiting and the food was delicious. The portions are generous and reasonable priced. I even ordered takeaway to take home for the family who absolutely loved it. Looking forward to coming back :)

Absolutely appalling customer service, I waited nearly an hour for my food to come and it was freezing cold. When I questioned the staff he replied with what do u want me to do about it continued to poke the food with his hands said it’s fine to me. Then took plate away just to bring it back cold great 👍

Waited an hour after ordering my food didn’t get anything served to us. People that attended after us all got served before us. After all the wait our food came stone cold, when questioned staff he was just pure rude. Poked his hands in the food and said it’s fine it put me off my food. So i basically paid £40 to leave without eating

Ordered takeaway, got mixed kebab, mixed chicken kebab, rice and nan breads, mixed kebab had 4 little pieces of chicken and small strip of lamb meet, mixed chicken only had 6 small pieces of chicken, over filled with rice, very poor, not impressed for the money !!!

The food was amazing and was very flavourful. The service and atmosphere was also really really good. Overall it was an amazing experience to go here and enjoy Persian food.

Best in town I've tried alot of places in town and this is handsdown the best plenty of choice on the west road but persain bite stands out from the rest five stars

I have been a regular at Persian Bite for 5 years now and their food is absolutely first class. The kebabs are perfectly marinated and grilled on the open fire, the daily special stews are so hearty and warming and the house rice is so fluffy and delicious. The staff are always so friendly and welcoming and both the sitting area and kitchen are always spotlessly clean.

Great food, friendly service, very reasonable prices.

Brilliant from start to finish. Nice warm welcome, seated quickly and drinks orders taken without delay. Loads of food options to sort all tastes and staff willing to offer suggestions about recommendations. Portions were huge, very reasonably priced (£42 for 3 people to eat and a few drinks). Definitely recommend to anyone looking for somewhere a bit different. Only side note... its a cash only restaurant.

Lovely food and good portion sizes.

First visit inhouse although we had had carry-outs before now. Food was excellent – we had a variety of naam breads for starters and chicken and salmon with rice for main. Prices were reasonable – only hitch being that cash only was accepted so it was a scrabble to find the money to pay the bill – no cards were accepted.

Food is amazing and nice to see a menu that HASNT got hundreds of choices, short menu, fabulous food - what they prepared was right and proper, very tasty - cant wait for a return visit

Fantastic place. Tried the Gheymeh Nesa and it was great. Kashke Bademjoon needs more kashk. Dough is fantastic.

The food was alright but its so sad to see that a restaurant doesn’t accept card in 2023 I had to walk 15 mins after I just had the food in order to get cash

First time here, many good reports, went for the mixed grill, meats all cooked to perfection, nice flavour on kebab, chops very average, chicken ok, rice was beautiful, bread was stunning, will return.

Tuesday special melt of the bone chiken and rice it's sweet and sour with cranberry and saffron It was nice I tried there special lamb neck with rice they do a special every day the place is nice inside the prices are ok heard there kebebs a really nice gonna have to try that next time it was nice

Can’t fault the food but the service is awful. Genuinely can’t understand why the service from reviewers is getting 5/5. Yes we went on a day that was busy but have visited many restaurants on a busy weekend and still received good service. The waiters seemed very nonchalant and none seemed like they were happy for us to be there. I hated the fact she had to point us out to the table who got sat next to us (who presumably were a larger group without enough seats) that she was waiting for us to leave before they could join tables. At this point our food had only just arrived to the table after a 20 minute wait. Naturally the other group kept staring at us every few mins. They must’ve been thinking we were eating for ages! If we didn’t have to be somewhere we genuinely would’ve taken an age to eat our meal after her comment. Even when we first sat down it took them ages to come over, probably 12/15 mins. She didn’t seem happy and unlike most restaurants there was no pleasantries or whether we wanted any drinks to begin with. Straight to the order. Had to repeat everything a few times and she seemed frustrated even though it was a pretty simple order. Trying to get anyone’s attention was difficult and when I did, they didn’t seem happy. Also no tap water. And a 330ml can of coke costs £1.70……. It’s a shame the service doesn’t match the quality of the food which I have to admit was really really good. As with most restaurants, food and service need to go hand in hand and unfortunately this place didn’t offer that.

Best persian food in North east

The employee is very bad and I do not want to order from him. Unfortunately, I came from a long journey, except for a customer before me. I do not respect these restaurants that do not respect the customer.

It's an amazing place. Food was fantastic. You couldn't ask for anything better just amazing.

I like the food but table were sticky and not clean, there is no tab water or ice with your coke, they make you put the food in your own box when going home , this is my opinion you might find it okay for you

Food was good but the service is pathetic. Manager had poor customer service and rude. Not really sure how they are still surviving in service industry. Cash only meaning no tax paid. We requested for change of table as it as close to toilets.. Manager was so reckless and showed zero professionalism. Will never go back..jokers..

First time visitor with my son who recommended it. Every aspect top draw. Friendly service, had mixed kebab with rice and shared (thankfully) the biggest nan I’ve see in my life. All good top quality, loved the chilli sauce as well as the garlic one. All reasonably priced. Will definitely be back again.

Authentic food, high quality, fresh and large quantities, very reasonably priced, no frills wooden tables but with great atmosphere, booking recommended, no alcohol served

We enjoyed a delightful mix grill for two, which proved to be excellent value for money. The taste of the food was highly satisfying, making the experience even more enjoyable.

Persian bite has improved a lot and they still offer delicious food for reasonable price and portion size compared to other similar restaurants.

My family visit here frequently. Weve tried a few different places but this is by far our favourite. The food is always amazing, very reasonable prices and the staff are lovely. We would definitely recommend to anyone.

Lovely food but absolutely appalling service. Never experienced anything like it to be honest, was there for 2 hours, staff were so slow. Ordered take out food after the meal for my partner and waited 40 minutes, went to ask why it was taking so long and they said it had been ready for ages! But didn't think to tell us when we were sat right there... Real shame as the food is lovely, but I won't be revisiting!

Persian Bite restaurant offered good and acceptable food, but unfortunately, there were some issues that affected my experience. The waiting time for my food was quite long, around 45 minutes. Additionally, I was disappointed to find out that the restaurant only accepted cash payments, as I had not been informed about this beforehand. This forced me to leave the restaurant in search of a cash machine, which was inconvenient. While the food quality was satisfactory, the extended wait time and lack of payment options detracted from my overall dining experience. I hope the restaurant can take this feedback constructively and work to improve the waiting times and provide more payment options to their customers in the future.

Have been coming to this place for over a decade and never a complaint. However, the last 2 times, the portions and taste have left much to be desired - small and bland. Maybe the popularity of this place has led to cooking on a commercial level and quality has been compromised? What's most disappointing is feedback is not graciously received. If this goes on, you will lose customers!

Can’t believe I had not been before. We came last week and LOVED IT. Staff were so lovely and the lamb AMAZING. Have been back once since and planning to come again tonight

Nice friendly atmosphere, quick service too. No alcohol which is a nice change. Food really good and filling, I would highly recommend a visit. Oh yeah cash only.

Very disappointed place. Too long time waiting 30 minutes for kebab worth 11pounds!! and u ll get less meat, option with salad option u ll no get any nann bread, so u will fell hungry, lady even forgot the my order. They doesn't want to make u feel happy or return money !! I throw this Persian kebab in garbage, avoid this place! (Not far away is kebab 4.50 £)

Not happy with my experience. Will never eat here again. Waiting too long for take away food, quality of food was not good, not worth this money, bad service. It was a good place now after refurbishment things have changed for the worse.

Everything was ok, food was fantastic as well as the staff. The only issue was that there is no Internet available and they don't accept cards. Everything else was very good.

I found them in the Winter of 2022 and since then I will go with my family almost regularly every month. The food is excellent and reminds me of the taste of some of the best restaurants I had tried in Tehran, Iran. The staff is polite and very quick. Almost the best experience of a Persian restaurant I have ever experienced before in many countries including Iran, Germany, Malaysia, and the UK.

The food was okay.. we came as family. 2 adults and 2 children.. we ordered a 2 meals instead cause it's a big portion of course.. our children wouldn't able to finish that.. but we had a weird look from the waitresses.. and she did asked us "only for 2?" i think it a bit of rude.. And once we're done (with some leftover which I need to pack it up) I went to pay to a gentleman up front After we left the premises, I was called back by the chef as if I'm doing something wrong... and I'm not sure the reason When I asked backed why, I saw back the blur waitress was with the chef.. saying something.. After a while they release me without saying anything.. but the gentleman which I payed the bill ealier put a smile.. I was bit confused.. but I suspect the girl told the chef that we haven't pay.. what the heck? You think we're that cheap? Order small amount n didn't pay? First n last time for me to visit this shop And please restaurant owner, replace your blur waitresses!

Food was terrible and not worth the money I spent.

Will never go again. Proper rip off. Lady was rude. She forced to buy the salad the way she talked. As I was there with my family and grand kids and my son in law. Kids were hungry otherwise I would leave that time

So delicious food, ghaymeh nesar and ghaymeh bademjan with the yogurt and cucumber sauce are my favourite but also I tried the chicken wings and bamia stew and they were delicious

The food was great the staff were absolutely amazing. But, when we were paying the bill there was a middle age guy who was chef as well (not Amir) was very very rude with us because we didn’t know what number table we were sat to pay the bill !!!
