I ordered kobid with chicken and the food was amazing

The food is very delicious Its downside is that it does not have a network

The lamb chops and chicken tastes really good and the portion was huge. It was also suprisingly affordable. Happy tummy, happy wallet. Would recommend to book a reservation if you plan to come in group as this place seems to be busy all the time. The only downside is they only accept cash so don't forget to bring some.

I have been their customer for over 9/10 years after last night I’m a bit concerned to go back,even though some friends of mine stop going to this place, due to lack of poor services recently.so I place an order at 7:20 as I was 30 minutes away from Newcastle got told your food will be ready in between 25/30 minutes.ok no problem that is great, also my stomach was rumbling 3 of us absolutely starving, when I have long drive I only eat light snacks after 7 hours drive from Canterbury Kent you can imagine it yourself!! Eventually got there to collect my food,at 7:55 fair enough they were seem to be busy waited another 20 minutes and they are completely ignoring cos they obviously stressed due to being busy, so waited another extra 5/10 minutes and told them I have a collection, is it ready or not?? The guy at the counter looked at me said ok give us 5 minutes!!ok no bother my friend,as I have been waiting 30 minutes already!!! TO BE TOTALLY HONEST I HAD ENOUGH OF WAITING AND CLEARLY I LEFT THIS ESTABLISHMENT, THE FUNY PART IS THAT OWNER OR THE MANAGER,DECIDE TO PHONE ME AT 21:13 AND HE KIND OF TRIED TO ACT ALL INNOCENT TO MAKE ME FEEL GUILTY OR SOMETHING.HI, YOU PLACE AN ORDER YOU HAVE NOT COLLECTED,WONDERING WHAT IS GOING ON,AT THIS POINT I HAD TO GIVE HIM A PEACE OF MIND.ALSO I WAS HAVING SHOWARMA AT THAT POINT!WHICH I HAD IT OF WEST ROAD!!ALL IM SAYING I HAVE BEEN WORKING IN RESTAURANTS AND GASTRO PUBS/TOP FINE DINING,MICHLEN STAR KITCHEN,ITALIAN KITCHENS,FAST FOOD PLACES, ITS NOT THAT I HAVE NO CLUE HOW TO SERVE CUSTOMERS AND HOW TO MANAGE BUSY SERVICES ANF HOW TO HANDLE BUSY TIMES WHEN THERE IS PILE OF CUSTOMER QUEUING.ITS CALLED MANAGE IT,AND HOW TO MANAGE IT THAT IS VERY VERY IMPORTANT.HOPE THIS HELP THEM WITH CUSTOMER SERVICES.ONE MORE CLUE!OWNER SHOULD THINK TO EXPAND THIS PLACE.TO A BIGGER VERSION MORE MONEY FOR HIM SO WIN WIN SITUATION.

THEY REFUSE TO SERVE TAP WATER!!! In the UK, licensed premises like pubs, restaurants, and cafes are legally required to provide free drinking water to customers upon request, meaning they must give you water if you ask for it; this applies to England and Wales under the Licensing Act 2003. I will be escalating this issue further by reporting this restaurant to the necessary authorities.

An Iranian restaurant with average food quality and perfect staff.However, they only accept cash, which is one of the worst things they could do. A report should definitely be made about this, as it is not an appropriate practice

Persian Bite restaurant provides good food, amazing service and a lovely environment, but generally, it is a disgrace for the Persian community in the Northeast. Just to cheat on the tax the owner only accepts cash. If you dine in Persian bite, and you do not have enough cash with you, you need to leave your family there and walk hundreds of yards to the nearest cash machine. Absolutely disrespectful. Need to be reported.

Iranian restaurant, fair job, difficulty getting parking, cash only. This is a fantastic restaurant for Persian cuisine. However, parking can be challenging, and they only accept cash.

The best Persian restaurant not only in Newcastle but in my life to date. Seriously!! It's a simple restaurant, fast service, great Persian food and very well priced! So popular at busy times you now have to queue for a table!! 2 years on...still all very valid comments.

In terms of food, very tasty, great menu & large portions. But, there’s a few cons: - Payment: A cash only business. I don’t mind but they don’t clearly advertise this. They should. - Service: Waiters stand around, doing nothing. (Don’t check up) Took ages to get their attention. - No ice (quite strange for a restaurant) my drink was refrigerated but wasn’t cool for long. - No tap water (again, strange for a restaurant).

Absolutely loved it!! Amazing food which is worth travelling across town to visit this charming and very busy establishment. The lamb cubes and yogurt cucumber dip was possibly the best I've ever had! Flawless. Friendly staff and very fast service. I do agree with other reviews: the management should consider accepting card payments. We had to walk for ages to look for a working ATM in order to pay for our meal... In this day and age, not many people carry cash, so it's a real inconvenience. Also I was quite surprised that there was no ice for my soft drink! I found this a little bizarre. Maybe consider bringing your own? I think the management would do well to listen to its customers and reconsider these easily remedied flaws. Many thanks for an excellent meal and fantastic service. Be sure to stock up on cash before your visit 🙏

I went to many restaurants and wanted to say that this restaurant good as well, but unfortunately can’t. We ordered two different dishes, but when staff brought them us, they was the same. Also we are waited very long time when someone come to us and asking what we want and what do we want to order.

Persian Bite is hands down the best Persian food I’ve ever had! The mix grill is the one—absolutely packed with flavor, juicy, and cooked to perfection. The place itself is super nice, and the service was spot on. Everyone was friendly and made sure we were happy the whole time. It’s the kind of spot you’ll keep coming back to once you’ve been. If you’re craving Persian food in new castle, this is the place to be!

good food unfortunatley just recovering from flu when I went there and nearly fainted - staff were understanding but I forgot the Dogy bag!

One argued about whether or not a reservation was made, after showing her the phone call evidence and how she was wrong, she proceeded to look at me and my friends up and down. Later she returned with a half hearted apology, however we left after that experience and how it was cash only and would not recommend anyone to spend money here!

Found this gem of restaurant. Food was beautiful. V busy place. Cash only taken. Waiter stressed whilst attending but overall good place to eat.

No reservé, solo entré a las 5 : 45 y consiguió una mesa. Realmente afortunado de entrar, ya que estaba lleno desde las 6 pm con la gente haciendo cola para una mesa. El personal es muy amable. Excelente comida y precio muy razonable. Realmente lo disfruté. Algunos de los clientes locales son un poco dudosos, pero no se reflexiona sobre la moderación de su personal o su cocina de calidad. Me encantó, sin duda volverá pronto.

This is by far the best Persian restaurant I have eaten in, (and I have eaten in 200’s of Persian restaurants both here and in Iran. The service is superb, the staff are kind and attentive nothing is ever too much trouble. The food is amazing, every single dish on the menu is cooked wonderfully the flavours are exceptional. If you want to taste the real flavours of PERSIA this is an absolute must.

Probably my favourite resultant in Newcastle in terms of food quality. Service quality is also decent. The restaurant is tiny, tables are too close to each others, there is a lot of surrounding noise from other people talking which makes it difficult to have a conversation with people you’re with.

The food was good, the waiter was nice, the lady at the reception who was responsible for payment was unprofessional and her behaviour was not nice, I had to wait more than 10 minutes at the reception to pay the bill

Tres veces. Primera vez para mí y un amigo. Otro amigo habitual. Servicio maravilloso. Amable, cálido y acogedor. Eso me hace cosquillas. La comida se cocina y se presenta bien. También comemos con los ojos, ¿verdad? Buena relación calidad-precio. Estamos en una era -quizás la era- de los infladores. We went out for a nice treat on Tuesday night. Yalda was fabulous. Very attentive and lovely to talk to. All the food was amazing as usual, and the service we received from Yalda was exceptional. Can't wait for the winter menu!

Visited on a Friday afternoon for an early dinner and was quite surprised at how busy the restaurant was! Food was amazing: chicken was so tender and fell off the bone, naans were massive in size and tasted great, salad tasted very fresh and portion was more than enough for 1 person, grilled aubergine dish was fantastic-so much flavour and thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful! Service was excellent as well, can't fault it! The ladies who work there are lovely and so friendly and were so accommodating with our baby, nothing was too much trouble. We're so glad to have found this gem of a place, it's a definite family favourite where we'll keep coming back to!

Came here with friends and was disappointed. The atmosphere was unpleasant due to the waitress's lack of professionalism which made us feel unwelcome. Not a place i'd recommend or return to.

Rude Manager Came to eat food as LOVED the food from here and have ate in once before. Was told to sit on a table for two which is in a really dull corner next to a fire exit- wasnt asked if we felt comfortable there-also the people next to us were really loud. So we got up to move to a quieter more pretty corner and informed one of the waiters who was fine about this. The manager had a big issue and was very rude told us to move back to the other table and that "HE IS THE MANAGER" because the food had already been ordered to that table- we dont see what the issue is the waiters can all see that we moved and the restaurant was half empty at this point. Eventually he stopped arguing with us and let us stay on the table. Thanks for ruining our meal before we had even started eating... The manager need to learn some manners and how to talk to women. Wont be returning due to the disrespect. Ps the restaurant is such a size that all the staff can see who is where. Manager needs to come back down to Earth and stop being big headed.

Since it has been done out, insid and out it looks fantastic and they have changed the way of cooking ( proper charcol cooking) it taste like the olden days used to cook the meat and chicken, oh my god you should visit Persian bite and see for your self !!!

We are from the US, we ordered takeaway (we learned quickly soon after arriving in the UK that it’s not called takeout as in the US) because my father is going through serious health issues. My Mom had to run back and grab more cash because they only accept cash. When she saw the great atmosphere, she told my Dad laying down back in the room that he would really like it, so he slowly walked over, and they already had our food packaged up.. extremely fast service! And we asked if we could get a table, they rushed us ahead of another family and seated us right away. Then they brought us tea—the whole experience was extremely catering to our needs. The food was excellent—hard to get Persian food in most places in the US. It’s true that they don’t check in on you, typical of the UK and Iran too? ..We aren’t afraid to ask politely. We left them a large tip and walked away very happy!!

I'm from Turkey. I think our cuisine similar to each other. So we're delightful eating all foods. Im a big fan of naan, dough and lari. My husband loves baba ganoush. You can choose half rice or crisps or salad. This is very useful because portion size so huge :) Thank you for good athmosphere and foods.

Whilst waiting to be seated my partner said he’d just witnessed the cook drop the kebabs on the floor picked it up and continued to cook…

I wouldn’t say this was authentic Persian food , although it tasted reasonable , none of the kebabs taste as they should , in particular koobideh the shape and taste totally wrong , combined with a Lack of cooked tomatoes and a rather strange looking sumac ! , Service is just ok , as usual typical Iranian style restaurant / cafe in the uk always have abysmal service or a lack of understanding how to serve guests correctly . The menu doesn’t really make sense for an Iranian restaurant too many different combinations and variety’s of kebabs that is unnecessary. Maybe I’m being a bit harsh with the review but I expected more from somewhere which is so busy , so I can’t really understand the popularity of this place I’m afraid, Other than the fact it’s fairly cheap and generous portions .

Would not return after how awful I was spoken to by a female member of staff today. Ordered for takeaway, as I usually do and eat it in the car never an issue, they normally allow me to take the sauces to my car, I asked if this was possible when ordering and was told it was totally fine. When my food was ready I asked for the sauces and she told me was no longer possible, which would’ve been fine as I said I’ll eat inside as I can’t eat it without the sauce, they then told me as I ordered for takeaway I was not allowed to eat inside the restaurant and use the sauce (it’s the same price to takeaway as it is to eat in). The restaurant made a huge scene to which people eating their dinner was starting making me feel uncomfortable so I took the food to my car. On top of all that the chicken was undercooked. Horrible service do not recommend at all!

We were seated quickly enough after booking a table for me and my two kids. Food was nice. They don’t offer tap water. Also once your food has arrived, no one comes to check if you need anything. I had to walk to kitchen to ask for a glass as they gave us two small water bottles and no glass. The ketchup was an orangey sauce with a strange taste- it was definitely not ketchup. Time for the bill and I’m told they don’t accept card- but then a waiter led me towards front of restaurant and they charged me an extra £1 for me to be able to use their card machine!!! Although food was nice, the service really lets customers down. I don’t think I will go back.

**The Best Persian Food in Newcastle** Absolutely fantastic food at good prices with a friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Easily accessible from the city center (Stagecoach buses 39 & 40 stop right in front). You should definitely try the Ghorme Sabzi, Kebab Kubideh, and any of the dishes with Kebab in the name.

The food and atmosphere were excellent. The service was spot on. My family really enjoyed the food, and even though we had so much, it didn't feel heavy at all.

The customer service was really bad. We were three of us and they gave us a small table that is usually given for two people. And when the food came there was not even space to keep the plates on the table. Food was also very average.

Perfect Persian Restaurant in Newcastle. Food prices are reasonable and portions are big as well. Decent variety of dishes too. Mixed kebabs, Soltani, Bakhtiari and Ghaymeh Nesar are my favorites here. Have been here a few times already and definitely recommended to everyone especially if looking for halal food options in Newcastle.

Meat kebab not very nice.... chicken kebab lovely .... no water on offer ?! Salad and chips are separate to the dish so paid more than expected ... it makes the dish very expensive... at £8 and £12 .. you would think you would get all the trimmings ... Will not return

I liked Ghaymeh Nesar very much, baklava, and tea—they were perfect! But the mix of Kubide and chicken kebab could be better. Thanks for the good service.

Another visit to the restaurant on a Friday evening as we were so glad we had booked – it was full by the time we left. We had naan bread with hummus to start and then I opted for the halloumi wrap whilst my friend had chicken with rice and fries. Delicious – and with fast service. See you again soon.

We celebrated Iranian New Year with a feast from this restaurant, and it was an absolute delight! Coordinating food for six different families can be a challenge, but the owner managed it spectacularly. From the moment I spoke with the owner to place our order, to the moment the food arrived, everything was seamless. Each dish was meticulously prepared, and the flavors were exceptional. Our guests were thrilled, and we couldn’t have been happier with our order. Highly recommended for any special occasion!

Food and quantity is really good . My favourite is Saturday special Lamb dish. Weekends and some of the week days are really busy . They accept cash only and parking is tricky sometimes. I recommend only eat in food as a good option.

2 pieces Frozen meat come from lamb neck waitor only heats up one piece left other frozen piece on my plate expecting to pay for a full meal all male waitors have bad attitude too

Absolutely appalling customer service, I waited nearly an hour for my food to come and it was freezing cold. When I questioned the staff he replied with what do u want me to do about it continued to poke the food with his hands said it’s fine to me. Then took plate away just to bring it back cold great 👍

Waited an hour after ordering my food didn’t get anything served to us. People that attended after us all got served before us. After all the wait our food came stone cold, when questioned staff he was just pure rude. Poked his hands in the food and said it’s fine it put me off my food. So i basically paid £40 to leave without eating

Ordered takeaway, got mixed kebab, mixed chicken kebab, rice and nan breads, mixed kebab had 4 little pieces of chicken and small strip of lamb meet, mixed chicken only had 6 small pieces of chicken, over filled with rice, very poor, not impressed for the money !!!

I have been a regular at Persian Bite for 5 years now and their food is absolutely first class. The kebabs are perfectly marinated and grilled on the open fire, the daily special stews are so hearty and warming and the house rice is so fluffy and delicious. The staff are always so friendly and welcoming and both the sitting area and kitchen are always spotlessly clean.

Brilliant from start to finish. Nice warm welcome, seated quickly and drinks orders taken without delay. Loads of food options to sort all tastes and staff willing to offer suggestions about recommendations. Portions were huge, very reasonably priced (£42 for 3 people to eat and a few drinks). Definitely recommend to anyone looking for somewhere a bit different. Only side note... its a cash only restaurant.
