This restaurant doesn’t even come close to the level of high-end Persian restaurants in Newcastle. The meal is way overpriced, and honestly, the food isn’t worth what you’re paying. The portions are small, the chicken wasn’t grilled properly, and the place is cold and uncomfortable. Even the bread they serve is undercooked and doesn’t compare to the authentic Iranian bread you’d get at more casual places. I definitely don’t plan on coming back.

Excellent food I really fancied a tasted of Persian food so I ask the waiter he recommend a dish called Fesejan it was lush highly recommend this place

Fantastic food, fast service, best skewer kebab in Newcastle. Best for couples. Just outside the city centre and an easy walk

1. Fesenjan was excellent, well-cooked, and bursting with flavor. Ghormeh Sabzi could be better next time. 2. The music played had a fast tempo. The classical Iranian music or softer instrumental tunes would be more relaxing. 3. The cleanliness of the toilet was below par and needed attention.

Food: Good food but epensive compare to other persian restaueants. Ambience: They didn't allow us to go and sit up stairs. So we had to sit downstairs and always there are a lot of noise... member of staff hit forks and spoonstogether when cleaning them... Despite good food specially Ghorme Sabzi , I didn't have good experience of dining there. Maybe just take away...

The customer service is very bad, I asked him to take out the service fees because I am student, He said no you have to pay the service fees, after argument he took off the fees. And also I asked the waiter to bring takeaway box he brought it and he charged me for the takeaway box. Plz when you go there check the bill before payment

Excellent food, nice service, great atmosphere and music. Price a bit high however worth it. I will invite friends and family to dine. Only downside, ground floor table is limited and we are a big family.

I ordered dinner the time set was around 40 minutes. I would understand if the time would be delayed a few minutes BUT 60 minutes and half an hour! That’s INSANE and not even any compensation whatsoever! This is the message I get: The restaurant isn't going to give you any money back for your delayed order. They say: "We're really sorry your order wasn't delivered on time. We hope you enjoyed your food." No, I didn’t enjoy my delayed food because my kids were so sleepy and angry. I will never order food from them.

Nice people, good food. Clean place and reasonable pricing. Mixed grill was shared between four, plenty of excellently grilled meats. Perfectly cooked, fluffy long grain rice, crispy chips and OK ‘naan’. Be careful with allergies, no official info available and spotty staff knowledge. Good visit.

Walked past not even thinking of eating there, but thank god we did, amazing food, atmosphere, service, and was easily one of the most enjoyable dining experiences I've had in a long time. The rice, prawns and chicken were all perfect and the saffron ice cream and baklava was incredible. Only had Persian food a couple of times but it was by far the best ive tasted. If I end up living near here I will be coming very frequently.

I have tried almost all the dishes of this restaurant and I am a regular customer, all the dishes were excellent except Fasanjan which was really shocking, the original Fasanjan which belongs to the city of Rasht has a sour taste and is black, this Fasanjan was sweet and red.. Considering that not everyone likes sour, you could use a taste between sour and sweet, but this was too sweet and nothing like Fasanjan, it was so sweet that you can order it as a dessert....

I had a pretty poor meal. my starter of home made Hummus and flatbread was really delicious. Fresh and flavourful and very filling. When my main course came Saffron Chicken Stew I was very disappointed. The broth of the stew was watery and flavourless. The pieces of chicken too were over boiled boiled and had no taste. I wish I'd had the grill instead. but 10 out of 10 for the Hummus.

Fantastic portion, lovely succulent mixed grill, the rice was unbelievably soft and light quite possibly the best I've had.. The baclava was sensational too. Couldn't ask for more. 5*.

Just have recently moved to Newcastle from outskirts of London. I have been to the best Persian restaurants in London (Persian palace, Molana, Piano,… the list goes on) but this place has phenomenal food and easily beats them. Generous portions, fresh and homemade! 10/10 experience, very decent price and cannot recommend it enough.

I came to this restaurant based on my father’s recommendation; he told me that he used to eat at this restaurant 20 years ago, and yet this is one of the best Persian restaurants around here. The owner of the restaurant, Davood, is very hospitable and friendly with the customers. Everything in the restaurant is freshly made every day. Absolutely delicious food; highly recommended. They also have upstairs extra tables and spaces for family and friends' occasions.

Came from Liverpool to New Castle and we were looking for a Persian restaurant and we found a Perfect one, Food was very good and well designed, Staff were kind and polite especially a lady named Maryam. And nothing is like a pot of Persian chai after food :)

A friend called in today at lunchtime whilst I navigated the city centre traffic! Asked him to get a chicken kebab .... option of rice or chips. Whilst the 7-8 pieces of chicken were flavoursome, there was no salad or any form of bread which I would expect with a chicken kebab, only a half grilled tomato! Served with skinny (frozen) fries!! My friend said he was made to feel welcome whist he waited. But charged £13.79 for privilege 😲. Very overpriced for a lunchtime takeaway for what was basically "chicken & chips" Really disappointed after reading reviews such as "great value" etc. 😞

We recently visited Persia . We were a party of four, including two adults and two children. We ordered the mixed grill for three, which was really good. It came with a variety of meats and vegetables, including chicken kebab, lamb kebab, chicken wings, and lamb chops. The humus and freshly baked bread were delicious as well. We also had Persian cocktails—they were on special that night! Everything was so good except for one thing: the quantity of food we got wasn't enough to fill our bellies. If you're looking for a parking space nearby, be prepared to walk at least 500 yards in any direction—we ended up paying £62.35 total (which includes service charges).

Some if the best starters we have ever had at ANY restaurant! Main course was lovely too! Persian ice cream was too die for. Came for the first time tonight and won't be the last. The gentleman service us this evening was so welcoming and lovely :)

Asked for delivery to my address which they knew is 4 miles and they said yes but wanted only cash. After 30 min they said they can't deliver as their drivers were busy.. The guy in the background was very rude.

I believe this is the best halloumi wrap I've ever had (I came back to have it for 4 nights in a row, during my stay in Newcastle) - I've had halloumi wraps in Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds and Durham in the last few weeks, so I have done some comparisons! Warm people, cosy and elegant venue: highly recommended :)

A group of four went there to celebrate a friend's birthday on the 23rd May 2022 and again two more times in 2023 to celebrate other occasions. Overall we had a lovely time with probably best Persian food in the city. Highly recommended.

Lovely restaurant. Five of us ate there early on a Saturday afternoon so it was quiet. The Happy Hour lunch from 12-4 was excellent value for money and the food was so delicious and tasty. We'll be going back again in the near future.

Ordered soltani kebab and the lamb fillers were really good, tried persia drink and that was the highlight, highly recommended

Unfortunately, unfortunately, some people want to take the hundred-year road overnight, the worst food I ate in my entire life was from this so-called Iranian restaurant, please remove the word Persia from the restaurant, I got two muscles, which unfortunately were of very, very bad quality... Really good homemade Persian food

Superb restaurant - food is always excellent, service lovely and one of our favourites! Great value, we enjoyed falafel, naan bread and hummus, followed by kebabs with rice and salad. Was cooked beautifully with fluffy rice and crisp salad.

I had really nice experience in this restaurant , everything was good , i liked the home feel ,staff kindness and of course the food was top quality especially the Nans, this is one of the rare restaurants for which reviews actually match reality, Antonio did all what he could to make feel comfortable and happy, i wanted a fresh mint tea at the end and i got it and i don`t think this is standard menu offer , another gentleman in the kitchen was very kind and attentive also, he saw me glancing to the very appealing dessert (baklawa like) and kindly offered me to taste it and that was delicious (authentic taste and crunch ), i can`t tell you if this is authentic Persian or not as i don`t know much about Persian food , the food is very similar to oriental food and tastes really good i have enjoyed everything i have ordered .don`t hesitate a second to go and try their dishes you will be delighted. something to know is there is a 10% service charge automatically applied

The most amazing food in Newcastle. My colleagues and I spent 36 weeks living and working in Newcastle, and this traditional (and fully authentic) Persian restaurant became our firm favourite. We'd eat there at least twice, often three times a week! My only caution is that the restaurant was established for the local immigrant population in Newcastle; as such, do be aware that the food is authentic rather than Westernised. Wonderful owners, wonderful staff, and wonderful local Persians. We absolutely loved it. If you have the time (as we did) try everything on the menu. You'll keep coming back again and again.

The food tasted horrendous. I had kubideh kabab, ghorme sabzi and fesenjoon, all of which were one of the worst I had in my whole life.

Absolutely phenomenal meal before a night out at The Tyne Theatre. Everything we ordered was delish! The hummus and smoked aubergine dip with the flat bread was fresh and tasty, and the joojeh and barg kebabs were juicy and cooked to perfection. Have to say that the dolmeh were the best I've ever had!

Ali is the man! We came in on restaurant week and it was brilliant. Excellent food, great service and a lovely atmosphere. We recommend the Persian tea to end the meal, tastes delicious and beautifully served. So lovely that so much (if not all!) of the food is home made. A must visit.

Tried here because pursian bite was closed, what a disappointment it was from the off the restaraunt was cold, we kept our coats on it was that cold. Wife ordered a sabzi which was very watery, me and the son had a mixed grill for 2 which was alright I suppose, portion sizes of rice and frozen chips was pathetic tho, the service was slow and there was hardly anyone in the place so no excuse really. They added money onto the bill also which is the main reason I would never return, 1 mixed kabab for 2 @25.50 1 sabzi @11.25 2 nan @xxxx 2 275 ml coke @£5 1 bottle still water @2.20 Cost of bill £58 THAT'S SOME EXPENSIVE NAN BREADS THAT IS, ADDED SERVICE CHARGE WHICH THEY DON'T MENTION ANYWHERE.....MY OPINION IS AVOID AND GO TO PURSIAN BITE, HALF THE PRICE AND TWICE THE PORTION SIZES, OH AND THE FOOD IS A MILLION TIMES QUICKER, BETTER AND FRESHER
