Absolute rip off This few skewers on large bread is sold for £12. Not happy and tea is also very expensive.

I had a cup of tea and peace off cream rolette the cream rolette was really nice so I had tow light fluffy creamy yum the service is good staff a freindly they also got some Christmas decoration up nice cozy place chilled and relaxed one of the oldest Persian resturents

We were excited to try this place, but the three meat plate tasted like a generic kebab. Also, because the restaurant inside was very cold and the meat was on a metal tray, the food got cold really quickly. The staff were really nice though. We didn’t order naan, but they were huge as well.

At 6pm on a Thursday night, this restaurant was already busy with families and couples and the atmosphere was really friendly and relaxed. Service was excellent and the food delicious with generous portions. We’ll definitely return asap. Highly recommended.

You don’t need to eat with your hands when eating Indian food... The skewers are okay... The set meal is just numb... Maybe I don’t know the local food... There should be some good wild food... The three people ate about 31 pounds... But when paying the bill, I paid 35 pounds in cash ... I wonder how many pounds I will get back... I know that the waiter seems to be acting like a fool... call it a day and leave... I don't know how many pounds more tips I have... ugh... points will be deducted...

Bad service, unfortunately, 4 employees focus on one customer and do not pay attention to the customer👎👎

Proper family Persian cafe /restaurant. Vv clean ladies toilets. Lovely people. Had amazing marinated chicken skewer on naan and the Thursday special of lamb shank with incredible aromatic rice cooked with broad beans. Massive portions! Turkish tea, wld have been perfect with Turkish coffee too but not available. 100%recommend

Update may 2023. Still one of my favourite places for a good proper meal. Highly recommend. Great service and delicious food at this cafe style restaurant. You'll find authentic persian /iranian food and drink, and real hospitality. Don't be put off by the front of the restaurant with all the local iranian men watching football, the back of the restaurant is family friendly. Taste a real kebab here!

£11:50 for 2 very thin slices of lamb and some rice. Bland taste and Most definitely the worst value meal iv seen terrible. We’ve been coming here for years and won’t be returning what a let down

I had Kubideh Kebab and Lamb hash in these. The quality and the taste of food were great and it was very satisfactory and delicious. The staff were very nice and the atmosphere was like nostalgic Iranian restaurants. While the menu was full of high quality Persian food, it would be great if we see some vegetarian options so we can bring our vegetarian friends!

I tried the 3 mix platter. All the kababs were very juicy and tasted great. The prices were definitely below average. The service here is lovely and the restaurant ambience is great. Wonderful persian artwork throughout!

Amazing cultural gem in the heart of Newcastle. Good reputation and great customer care. Easy to access location. The downside: this was a highly recommend takeaway and restaurant. It maybe that a sit-in session would be better than a takeaway, but I was not impressed. The main gripe is the very burnt edges on the lamb cuts and tomatoes – see the pics **. The food was Persian? But it was nothing special. The parking – even if you are just visiting to pickup your order is a complete nightmare. I cannot recommend – based on the takeaways I ate.

Been using this eatery for years now since it first opened and have seen them upgrade kitchen, dining and toilet areas as business developed. Never had a bad meal, even the Grandchildren love visiting for their kebab rolls and rice. Visited today, just me and ‘er indoors. Food took 20mins to cook and, being takeaway only at the moment, they told me it would be this long so I could wait outside in my car. I had the mixed chicken and lamb kebab roll and ‘er indoors a single chicken tikka roll with rice together with a couple of cans of diet coke came to £12.20. The food was excellent, lovely fresh and tasty. Looking forward to my next visit already

One of best restaurants in Newcastle

Customer for a decade now and I currently go every few days, this should tell you enough. There are levels and this is off the charts!!! Ali the owner is top drawer and the lad's are class. Get some Persian tea in you whilst there. Bit sugar. Tremendous. Get there!

The minced lamb roll is excellent. Beautifully spiced and really really good value for money.

غذاش خوبه نسبت به قیمتش ولی محیطش مناسب حضور خانواده نیست یه سری همیشه علاف اونجا هستن وارد که میشی با چشای باباقوری نگات میکنن فحش خار مادر هم در جریانه همیشه در کل اگه مجرد هستید، به فوتبال علاقه دارید(معمولا پخش زنده دارن) دنبال غذای خوب، سریع و ارزون ایرانی هستید توصیه میشه

Food wasn’t bad , but certainly wasn’t anything special . It’s got its own market for cafe style Iranian food for people without understanding of real cooking .- Rice is bad , no tomato with koobideh , no sumac . Takeaway containers are wrong , rice is too much should be in no6 container and meat in circular ones Chicken is tasteless as is aubergine sides. Taste of Persia is the place to go for Iranian food unless your a taxi driver .

The food on the menu is always consistent and served fresh, piping hot &finger licking fab. The staff always greet you with a genuine smile and are very friendly. You have got to taste the dessert, Persian style cakes that are not too sweet just right for your palate. Service is second to none also. Every dish that I have tried, I have throughly savoured. Don't take my word for it, go and try it for your self. Peace to you.

I went in the other day to order a chicken shwarma, too my suprise it looked amazing, but when i took one bite, i knew i made a mistake ordering it, it was way to salty that i thought i had been dropped into the atlantic ocean, and if the salt wasnt there, i wouldve thought the chicken was rolled in coal with how charred it was.

Tasty food in a relaxed casual environment. Parking can be tricky at times as it's opposite the busiest fruit and veg stall in Newcastle but the food is great and they've the service to match.

My partner is absolutely mad about the lamb kebabs from here and we call by whenever in the area. The fried aubergine kebab is tasty and well worth a a try but would be nice to see some more veggie options and also sides. Also chips/some potato side for those who don’t just want rice. Staff are really friendly and it is good value for money.
