A lovely little cafe with a cosy feel to it. My son loved his crepes coming in the little dog lunch box and the crepes were delicious. Good value for money and will definitely be back.

Had Afternoon tea curtesy of my Mother in Law. Really lovely food on each of the three tiers. All fresh and tasty. Will certainly have again and well worth the price. Staff, as always were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Thank you again.

Pancakes and crepes are lovely from here. Staff lovely but unfortunately the alternative milk they use is Aldi brand and does not work in coffee and even worse the charge is extortionate for using Aldi milk. Please consider changing to more appropriate non dairy milk like the laptop barista to ensure higher quality coffee. Been a few times and my coffee has had floaters or burnt because of the milk used. It's a shame as it's a lovely place but unfortunately with requiring alternative milk due to health reasons and not choice contributes to a worse experience as want to enjoy a nice coffee with my pancakes.

Todo hecho en casa, porciones generosas y extremadamente buena relación calidad-precio. Son muy amables con los perros y el servicio al cliente es 10 / 10. Todo el personal, incluidos los propietarios, son amables, atentos y serviciales.

I've visited Monsieur crepe twice now, first for breakfast and more recently for lunch. The food is delicious! All home made, generous portions and extremely good value for money. They are very dog friendly and the customer service is 10/10. All staff, including the owners, are fiendly, attentive and accommodating.

Hoy fuimos a celebrar el Día de la Madre con té de la tarde y fue absolutamente precioso. Hermosa comida y un servicio amable, por un precio muy razonable. Recomiendo encarecidamente una visita si estás en la zona.

Went yesterday with my mam and sister and I got a strawberry milkshake which was tasteless then got a cheese savoury sandwich which had far to much mayonnaise in it was really watery and you could barely taste the cheese and the tortillas crisps were not nice at all the crepe for desert was ok the service was pretty poor also had to ask for plates to be taking away as had been sat on our table for a good while after we had finished wont be returning 🙃 although the place has a nice ambience was overpriced for very bog standard food.

He estado un par de veces a lo largo de los años, decepcionado con la visita de hoy. Dos porciones, joven hombre y mujer, bastante antipático, en general, comida bastante promedio, experiencia, servicio. La calidad de la comida no era genial, salchicha, pudín negro insípido, huevos Benedict, no era jamón al horno, salsa holandesa insípida, pedía balsámico o vinagre para añadir algo de sabor, no tenía ninguno de los dos. Café agradable.

What an amazing escape from the busy icky world! First of all as a celiac individual it's a nightmare to find places to get Gluten Free anything, but Gluten Free Pancakes!! 🥞 They tasted soooooo gooood too 🤤❤️ we visited for my finances birthday, and unprompted they brought her cake and sang to her! I've already organised two more trips for later to show my family and friends, fan for life 11/10

Lovely experience Sat us down on a table even though we hadn't booked, said we had till a certain time which was over an hour away. Asked for less on my breakfast and had substitutes generously from chef. Lovely cafe can't wait to return to try some crepes

Food and atmosphere are both really great however, with limited setting availability on the day, we had asked for a place inside if one freed up as it was cold outside. Two groups who arrived after us were moved inside despite arriving later than us. Aside from this the service was great but I believe patrons should be seated inside in order of arrival.

From walking in, getting a warm welcome from the friendly staff, it's always a great experience. A copy, clean cafe with a great atmosphere and a menu offering broad choices, from the excellent English breakfasts (always superbly cooked and well presented) to the luscious French toasts (the New Yorker being my favourite indulgence). Definitely worth a visit. Looking forward to going tomorrow morning with my wife and my two little pugs (who are always made to feel welcome)

Haven’t been back to Newcastle in a while so trusted google for a book breakfast. The crepe was the best I’ve probably ever had. We’ve tried them All over the world and Newcastle takes the award. Also English breakfasts were also phenomenal. Trust the 4.7 4.8 reviews

Had a lovely brunch here. Excellent service and didn’t take long for the food to arrive. I had pancakes which were extremely fluffy and delicious. Lovely staff and very attentive.

Visited on a Sunday earlier this month. Firstly they were brilliant at fitting us in at short notice and not rushing us at all, even though we knew the table was only available for a short time. Absolutely lovely staff, delicious food, wonderful atmosphere and vibe. Also brilliant to find somewhere serving galettes. We'll be back very soon, including to try the afternoon tea, which other customers were eating while we were there and looked fab!

I only recently came here for the first time after hearing recommendations and I was not disappointed. There's usually people in as soon as it opens and the service is on point. Food is tasty and reasonably priced.

Best hot chocolate I've ever had

Really enjoyed a stack of pancakes and spiced chai. Brought the dog who enjoyed a sausage from the dog menu. Had a great time and so did he.

Gem of a place. I had driven past hundreds of time and not realised it was there. Absolutely brilliant cafe. The coffee is epic and so is the food. The service is quick and the staff are great. It gets very busy on the weekend. Book ahead of you can else you might not get a table.

The best place for breakfast/brunch in Newcastle. I love their eggs benedict with halloumi which I tried at many different places as well but Monsieur just does it best. The place feels very cosy and every member of staff is very welcoming and nice. Will be back for many many more times!

Update 30/8 booked for 10am to ha e breakfast with family. Food lovely as always. We had eggs benedict and american pancakes with maple syrup and bacon. All delicious. Staff very friendly and helpful. Welcoming establishment with pleasant staff and lovely tasting good value food. Update. Back for the first time in a while. Had sandwiches and crepes, everything spot on. Staff are lovely and helpful.

Llevó a mi hija amante del crepé a almorzar aquí porque también hacen su té helado favorito, jazmín y lima. Le encantaba su crepé de chocolate y oreo y dijo que era el mejor té helado de jazmín que había tomado en años. Tomé queso de cabra, pera y galette de nueces. Estaba delicioso y me recordó a los que he tenido en Bretaña. El personal es lo que hace este lugar! Amigable, bien informado y eficiente. Sin duda recomendaría, costó poco más de £ 20 para el almuerzo y bebidas para 2 de nosotros.

Fantastic place, food and atmosphere.

Visited for the first time today with my son and grandaughter. The staff were very accommodating with my order which allowed me to stick to my slimming world plan. My son had the healthy one granola and my grandaughter the little crepe which came in the cutest little dog shaped bowl. Very cute and very child friendly as she is juat 3. The staff were attentive and the food arrived quickly and was absolutely delicious! I've been desperate to visit for ages and was not disappointed. Will definitely return and treat myself to pancakes after my holidays!! Booking was online and so easy. Although I didnt use it, I like how updated messages can be sent after booking. Huge menu selection for both adults and children which all sounded lovely. Highly recommend and will definitely be returning

Tuve a toda mi familia inmediata venir a visitar el noreste por primera vez desde que me mudé aquí, ansioso de que teníamos un alto número de personas para atender, envié un correo electrónico al restaurante unos días antes para ver si era posible reservar para 14 personas. Los propietarios estaban de vacaciones, pero me llamaron de inmediato y fueron muy serviciales, el equipo de vuelta en la cafetería hizo un seguimiento con confirmación y verificó cualquier requisito. Tuvimos muchos niños con nosotros, y mi padre que está discapacitado tarda un tiempo en instalarse. El personal era genial con nosotros y muy paciente. Aún mejor, el menú era muy impresionante y lo hizo difícil de elegir, esto fue respaldado con una gran calidad de comida, todo a precios razonables. Esta fue nuestra primera visita y sin duda volveremos.

I visited today with my nephew who is one. Despite it being very busy the staff were very welcoming and chatted to us both. We left the table and floor in a bit of a mess after my nephew had scrambled egg. The staff were lovely about the mess and very kind. Our favourite place to eat and will definitely be back!

Went with a party of seven women who all chose something different to eat. The food was excellent and despite complicated order, all served promptly and correctly. The table easily accommodated us all. Nothing is too much trouble & the friendly staff made all the difference to our experience. I'd highly recommend but I want to be able to book a table next time I go 😉

For first impressions, this place scored pretty high! As soon as we walked in, a guy cooking offered us a menu. The other staff were really friendly too. The food was pretty good, I asked for a sausage, egg and bacon bap, on brown. It wasn't on the menu and they said yes right away! Very generous with the servings. The coffee was alright, but not as good as I expected. And the only other thing was, that there was no seating inside, so we had to sit outside and it was a tad cold! Overall, will go back when I'm up that way. Thanks to the staff for making us feel welcome :)

Absolutely amazing cafe. This is shown by just how busy they are on a daily basis. We always call ahead to avoid disappointment. The food is soo nice. Everything always tastes fresh, amazing value for money and even better they use local supplies where possible. The service considering how busy the place can be is great. Everyone is friendly and happy to help.

Our favourite Cafe in Newcastle. Take the kids for a treat breakfast on Birthdays and for the amazing pancake stacks. Always warm and friendly. On the occasion we haven't booked a table (recommended as it's very popular) they've always either squeezed us in or offered an alternative. Blankets provided outside too if you fancy the geordie sunshine! Recommend the flat whites, big breakfast and any of the crepe or American style pancake stacks.

This café is a gem, always hits the spot with extensive menu, relaxed atmosphere and super friendly, attentive team & hosts. Afternoon teas are really lovely for a special occasion treat. Need another bannoffee crêpe 'n flat white fix soon!

The most amazing local cafe. Service is fabulous Staff are amazing But if you want to guarantee a table, book in advance. It takes seconds to do. It’s your own fault if you arrive without a booking and miss out.

A regular breakfast haunt for me, in fact it's my favourite breakfast haunt, have been with several different friends and my husband too, no complaints from anyone, always book as it's so popular which speaks for itself, fav choice is wholemeal toast, bacon or ham, poached eggs and a side of beans washed down with a skinny latte. Great staff, friendly, funny and helpful. Love it!

There’s no availability for walk-ins, like ever, even if you wanted to wait for a table to clear. You get the “oh you haven’t booked” pity look at the entrance as if they are serving fresh oysters and lobster bisque out of a 2 star Michelin menu. Since when cafes have become this pretentious ?! My suggestion, have a few tables or a bar for walks ins, like most places have.

Absolutely lovely place have only ever visited for breakfast but every time service and food has been outstanding.

Always amazing food, staff are so friendly and the prices are great. It gets super busy so your best booking but we’ve always got a table just turning up, you might have to wait a little while.

The most beautiful and best cafe we have ever been to. We LOVE it here and especially in the winter as it’s so cosy and friendly everyone is so welcoming and the owners are the kindest people always with smiles on their faces a truly amazing place.

One of our family’s favourite places. Fantastic food and service every time. My kids like things a certain away and the staff have always been really accommodating. Please ignore the one bad review. Yes you have to book to guarantee a table but that’s because it’s a well loved cafe!

I visited Monsieur Crepe with my friend and my little girl on Friday. We fancied a crepe and so I suggested we go here as I’ve been a number of times and it’s always lovely. My little girl wasn’t in a great mood so we decided to get it to takeaway … but then everything changed when we went inside. The lovely gentleman at the counter asked my daughter which character she likes and printed her of some pictures to colour in, this turned her mood right around and, in turn, our trip was saved! We ended up eating at the cafe and the food was lovely. The service was second to none - with special thanks to the gentleman who printed the pictures, and spoke to my daughter with kindness and respect, and the lady who served us who was just lovely. Will be back ASAP. X

We recently visited to celebrate my son’s 10th birthday and had a fabulous time. Staff were so friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious. It was really busy but the service was fantastic and every time we’ve been they always make my children (and me) feel so welcome. Thank you!

Brilliant venue, friendly staff and awesome food. Always busy and the owners and staff always make you feel welcome. They also have a very good booking service I appreciate being able to turn up and know that a table will be available for me without having to queue like other venues. Given the size of the restaurant and how popular it is I would never assume (like the previous reviewer) that I could just turn up and expect them to have room for me. They are a small business and shouldn’t be expected to keep spare tables on the off chance someone turns up.
