Went there last night for a friend's birthday. Got one word for the evening....... WOW!!!! The food and service were both fantastic. The boys all ordered individual starters and then we had a selection of main courses that we all shared. Got to say the food was delicious and the ingredients you could tell were fresh. Umar who is either the owner or the manager recommended the main courses and they all went down a treat. Above all a magnificent meal with very reasonable prices. Will be back here again very soon.

For all you Indian food lovers who have travelled far and wide, Kormal Balti House on Chillingham Road is a must to visit. We thought we would give it a try and found a great atmosphere, friendly attentive staff with food that was excellent and incredibly tasty. We are definitely going back. Ps bring your own beer as they do not sell alcohol.

I don't normally leave reviews and I have eaten there before and always liked the food so I recommended to my parents and siblings for a meal family of 10 to take advantage of the eat out to help out and every single family member loved every dish that came out. We went at 8pm and left at 1015pm as they were very hospitable, no ques, clean and social distancing was in place! The starters of bhuna prawn on puree, tandoori king prawns, garlic king prawns (which they give for free and probably was the best dish!) the chicken tandoori the house grill plus other starters was such a decent portion that whilst we waited for out main we were all wondering if we could eat any more...but we could as 15 minutes after our starters the mains came out and again very large portions (we had to take half the food home) and we all dug in, the nawab khanna the brinjal king prawn zal roshun (not on the menu but ask them to make it such a treat!) and perfect garlic nan were our fave curries out of the 8 we ordered. The service was outstanding, they catered to the level of heat we required on our dishes making them to each person's taste. Complimentary starters dishes including the free dessert for 5 of us which my brother asked for more as he loves the hot gulab jamon with the cold vanilla ice cream which almost tastes like a sticky toffee pudding just cemented a great evening. I am surprised more people havnt come there, it is at an odd location right at exit of coast road/Stephenson road roundabout but there is immediate parking behind the restaurant or on the street. I parked 30 metres away from restaurant. My father who doesn't like eating out, loved the food so much he we went to personally thank the chef and those who know my father who is a chef himself getting a compliment from him is extremely rare. But here I am at 11:36pm writing a review as my siblings said I should as they all had a great evening and just under £95 for 10 people, well what a bargain! Picture of my fave dish below! Garlic king prawn starter.(free) I don't tend to take photos of my food as like phones away at dinner time but was very impressed with this!

Ordered 3 different curries and all delicious. 2 of the chef specials Anokha chicken and Bindiya chicken, both had great individual taste and would definitely get again. The third was a really good balti chicken tika, with a decent kick.

The William IV on High street is a local pub in Gateshead that offer a decent range of beers and was one of several pubs that we visited on a day out around Gateshead. A solid old style boozer that is housed in a traditional pub style building'the interior is again a traditional pub interior with lots of good seating options and an outside area at the back with extra seating options. I don't know why but I adore going to pubs like this as it brings me back to when I first started drinking many years ago and most of the pubs I visited where like this. This pub was very busy when we visited as where most pubs we went to in Gateshead and when here we had a couple of bitters from the John Smith's brewery which were well served and priced. This is another superb local boozer and is well worth visiting as the staff were friendly and they offer a well priced range of beers and is very easy to locate from High Street bus stop it's a minute's walk.(This is my first review of the William IV). Opening Hours. Monday-Thursday-10.00-23.30. Friday-Saturday-10.00-00.30. Sunday-10.00-23.30. Nearest Bus Stop. High Street bus stop.

I recently visited Côte and had the pleasure of enjoying a delicious English breakfast. The food was perfectly prepared, with each element cooked to perfection, from the crispy bacon to the creamy scrambled eggs. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a cozy yet vibrant ambiance that made the experience even more enjoyable. The staff were attentive and friendly, adding to the overall charm of the place. Whether you’re looking for a hearty breakfast or a spot to relax and soak in a great vibe, Côte is an excellent choice. Highly recommend!
