The best restaurants in Lemington Newcastle upon Tyne North East

I never right a review for food but this Chinese takeaway is on a whole other level. Third time I’ve been and the food feels fresh and tastes like it’s been made with heart and soul. Staff are lovely people and I don’t feel this takeaway gets the credit it deserves.

Extensive outdoor riverside recreation area for dog walkers, cyclists and joggers with children's playground. Plenty parking areas and cafe with toilets. Boating ramp with the occasional seal resting. Picnic tables and benches to rest.

Brilliant all round but please get some marmalade to go with the toast. Jam for breakfast ugh! Otherwise a great experience.

We had the most amazing Sunday lunch, and the staff were excellent and very helpful, I would recommend this to anyone who enjoyed a Sunday rost and a pint.

Great pub with lovely staff. We booked the function room for a post-funeral wake. They couldn't be more helpful and the buffet was superb.

RIP off I found a barcode on a can a coke covering writing from Coca-Cola “multipack can” don’t sell separately… it just makes you feel scammed … it’s expensive in there anyway but finding out they make big profit's on items we are paying for it’s shocking … I think ownership has changed

I ordered jacket potato with coronation chicken and it was so dry i had to ut extra sauce on and there was more sultanas than chicken! The potato was brown as it looks like its been there a while and the coleslaw was lettuce, tomato and cucumbers!

Excellent bar for all ages. Super efficient bar staff, special shout out to Sarah and Sam, who never stop. Food and drinks very reasonably priced. Best place to watch Newcastle.

I hadn’t been to Toby Carvey for years, we went as a family and were really impressed. The restaurant was clean and had a nice atmosphere. All of the food was delicious and all the meats were tender. Good value for money. The Carver, Josh, was friendly and polite. Our server, Jen, was really lovely and helpful. I was there with my 20yr old son, who is in a wheelchair. She made sure we were at an easily accessible table, for him to get to the carvery. We both also liked the fact that she talked to him (sadly not many people do) and not me, when asking him anything. The disabled toilet was accessible (they aren’t always), need a radar key and clean. We will be back.

Ordered £22 worth of takeaway food when it was delivered the paper bags it came in were soaked in oil and the chicken bhuna was full of bones. When I rang the owner and complained he hung up on me. We definitely won't be using Kashmir Tandoori again.
