Popped in today for coffee and scone and was served by Charlie. The service received by Charlie was friendly and professional and came across very welcoming, as my freind and I had never visited before . The scone with cream and jam were delicious and well presented and the free chocolate shortbread was an added bonus, a nice touch . Would highly recommend anyone to pop in the coffee also was delicious.

We went to South Causey for afternoon tea, with friends, our dog and 6 month old baby. We have been to South Causey before and had a nice time. We love that it’s dog friendly too! The afternoon tea is great value for money! We got loads so obviously took some home! A down side to the afternoon tea is that it is brought out on mini picnic tables (which is cute) but the table we were given was not big enough for the four of us with cups and our afternoon tea. I feel we should have been given a bigger table seeing as their afternoon tea setup is so large. Also we were not offered a high chair for our baby (yes we could have asked for one), but not once were we asked if we wanted one and I would have expected one waiting at our table seeing as I informed them at booking that we would have a baby with us.

We've eaten here a few times and never had a bad experience. There are always lots of options on the menu to choose from, and it's reasonably priced. They sometimes have offers on too depending on when you go. On our most recent visit we had 3 courses included in an overnight stay at the hall. All the food was delicious and the portions were plentiful. Drinks were great too!

The restaurant/ bar is located to the rear of the Beamish Hall Hotel it is very well appointed and the staff are friendly the drinks are on the expensive side and for us the menu hasn’t that much choice the food we got was nice (fish and chips) but wasn’t what we would normally of had but with a limited menu what can you do.

What a great friendly and accommodating village pub,Georgina is friendly and welcoming,as are all her staff. The christening was a great success and everyone that came said they had really good time. I feel this village pub is going to go from strength to strength, with the upcoming plans.

Toppings should go on top of the cheese not under it. tomato sauce was hardly detectable, base stodgy and spongy. the base was like a cake despite being billed as thin and crusty. if you don't know how to make a pizza, which really isn't difficult, then you shouldn't call yourself a pizzeria
