The best restaurants in London

I went to the Queens Head last night with my wife and our two close friends for their Thursday steak night, which we have had before and always raved about it to our friends but now we were there with them. Last night though the whole meal was just delicious we ordered 2 Steak De Boufes to share with our better half’s both medium rare, with thick cut chips, large mushroom and grilled tomatoes and peppercorn sauce, I had mash instead of chips. The steaks were just incredible, I love steak and these were as good as any I have had before at either Gouchos or Argentinian steak house. But as it was steak night we got a free bottle of red wine per couple. I asked the manager Eleanor for a bottle of their fantastic Malbec, but she suggested we try a bottle of Chateau Musar, a beautiful red Lebanese wine. My friend who is a bit of a wine boff started to get very excited at the thought of this and when it came well let’s say it was like Christmas morning! The wine was incredible and accompanied the steak so well it was delicious. So for just £65 per couple we had this amazing Steak De Boufe with a bottle of outstanding red wine. Thank you to the fantastic chef and to the amazing and brilliant manager Eleonar for an unbelievable meal. We will all be back very soon Peter & Emma Greenwood

Culina is a local gem in Selsdon, South Croydon. Excellent service. Friendly staff. Very good quality food - snacks and meals. Reasonable prices. Very glad it's so near to where we live.

What a delightful little micro pub. Friendly welcome and nice beers. Real ales and gins and not a huge range but they are all good if you like real ales. Only 6 minutes from the station so easy to get to. If you like beers, well worth a trip and combine it with the one in Hayes too, on the same train line

Tuvimos un gran tiempo en Sonya! El menú tiene un montón de grandes opciones y la comida era fantástica. El restaurante es muy lindo y acogedor - es el lugar perfecto para un brunch! Tuvimos un pequeño problema con uno de nuestros pedidos, pero el personal era increíblemente servicial y muy agradable. Fueron más allá. Recomiendo encarecidamente y sin duda volveremos!

La comida era de cinco estrellas y toda la experiencia fue increíble. Si te gusta la buena comida, un ambiente peculiar no te decepcionará.

I loved the food here, me and my friends are extremely saddened that the place closed down recently, they had the best and most affordable chinese food which had great flavour and quick service. I hope the owners see this as I'm sure many people have wondered what happened to this palace.

Ayer tuve la oportunidad de probar por primera vez las arepas de Peter y debo decir que eran las mejores! Todos los ingredientes eran frescos y la carne tan jugosa y tierna. No puedo esperar a volver para probar las empanadas. 😝 No te pierdas su camión de comida todos los viernes en City Island junto a la estación de Canning Town.

The best katsu curry I have ever had! Came with my partner for an impromptu lunch and the restaurant was clean, staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was absolutely excellent with fresh vegetables and quality ingredients! New favourite food spot.

This is lovely little cafe with friendly staff and great coffee. Not everywhere gets decaff right but theirs was delicious, and the chocolate brownie was amazing. Their brunch menu looked great too, so I'll be back!

Till this day I never had a grilled fish burger . I must emphasis that it's million times better than those fried fish burgers and by far a great burger experience

Really enjoyable night where we cooked in 4 teams to create 4 courses. Staff were brilliant in explaining and hospitality. Had a really good evening and enjoyed the food we cooked. Thoroughly recommend this as a company team building event.

This place is excellent !! Superb fresh sandwiches, baguettes etc. with generous fillings. The lady is the nicest, most personable person I’ve spoken too ! Great value for money as well.

Yo estaba un poco dudosa como éramos los únicos comensales en este pequeño restaurante y el lado Alejando no era tan lleno, pero fue el lunes por la noche. Nos quedamos agradablemente sorprendidos como el pescado y ensaladas era fresco y la jarra de vino blanco apetecible.

Waren spät unterwegs und suchten noch was für den Abend. Würden mega überrascht sehr freundlich und bemüht.... Jeder Zeit wieder.

I do like avoiding chain cafes in London, it gives you a chance to experiment. Today I was looking for a peaceful oasis with great food, and I found it! Lovely soups, charming service and fresh, bright, surroundings.... Go.
