Excellent Food at Mezze Ocakbasi I recently dined at this Turkish restaurant, and I was thoroughly impressed by the entire experience, particularly the exceptional food. From the moment we arrived, the warm and inviting atmosphere made us feel at home. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, guiding us through the menu and offering recommendations that did not disappoint. We started with the traditional mezze platter which was a delightful assortment of hummus, baba ghanoush, stuffed vine leaves, and freshly baked bread. Each bite was packed with authentic flavors, and the freshness of the ingredients was unmistakable. For the main course, I had the mixed Skewers, which was grilled to perfection—tender, juicy, and beautifully seasoned with a subtle smokiness. The accompanying rice and grilled vegetables were a perfect match, complementing the richness of the lamb. My dining partner ordered the Spicy Chicken Wings with Rice, and it was equally impressive The portions were generous, but we couldn’t resist trying dessert. The baklava was divine—crispy, sweet, and drenched in fragrant honey, it was the perfect way to end the meal. Overall, Mezze Ocakbasi delivers an authentic and elevated Turkish dining experience. The best food, warm welcome, superb cocktails and the new refurb makes this a great place for an evening out. Whether eating in or having a takeaway the food quality is consistent.

Basic but very good Turkish food. Open Kitchen, so you see your food cooked. Excellent value.

Visited with friends prior to going to a show. We booked for 5.30. I had aubergine to start with, followed by chicken shish. Big portions and well flavoured

Dropped in here for a beer while waiting to go for a Chinese. A new manager was in there for 3 wks with a fab playlist and excellent social skills. We'll go back again for the venue and her. Even took us on a tour 👏👏👏

My husband and I had a brunch at this lovely Restaurant with good family vibe. We got seated promptly and Staff was very attentive and welcoming. French toast was very tasty, however Shakshuka was rather bland but sucuk was good. Portion size was generous. Overall Good Choice for brunch.Would recommend coming here. Halal Options Available!

A delightful little cafe serving delicious generous sandwiches, bagels, wraps. Really tasty hot coffee too and even a treat for my pooch who was welcome. Nice staff, quaint decor, nice china cups. Nothing to dislike at all.

This wonderful Cafe is great to sit in as it’s comfortable, bright and with friendly staff. Ideal for breakfast and home cooked lunches washed down with hot, fresh tea and coffee. Cold drinks are sold too. It has an excellent view with outside seating if you prefer the open air. Highly recommended whether dining solo or for meeting friends.

Pizzeria Bel Sit is one of our favourite Italian restaurants. We have been many times and the food is just consistently incredible. Service is great with friendly and fun staff. Parking can sometimes be tricky but you will eventually find something. The atmosphere is certainly vibrant and can get very loud when busy. You cannot reserve and if you don’t turn up at opening time the wait for a table can be long (I have waited over a hour on a couple of occasions) however you can have drinks while waiting. Prices are higher than average however for the quality it’s well worth it.
