Good pub with lovely atmosphere. Staff really freindly from few years ago.

Great Saturday afternoon drinks with my husband. Looked after by the wonderful Lewis-served quickly, great banter, great music playlist. Very comfortable atmosphere. Really welcoming-thank you Lewis!

Great bar. Very nice and friendly staff. Got served the best burger of my life and enjoyed a lively atmosphere.

We have always liked the Rose and Crown and have used it many times over the years. Had a lovely meal here last weekend. Bar staff lovely.

Great atmosphere for the football in the Rose & Crown this evening! Staff were super friendly and though busy did their best to make sure everyone was well looked after The crowd was electric with a number of screen dotted around the pub Had some nachos while watching the game and my bf had a burger which he said was amazing. Before I start my review I used to work at this place for about a year! I’ve have been coming here for years now and never had a problem. I will not be returning for sure since it’s been taking over by new management it’s been awful the customer service is awful! Staff are rude and disrespectful every question is a chore for them and don’t want to help at all , I asked to put my phone on charge before and the dirty look I got from Lewis was disgusting! Made me feel so uncomfortable. I had an incident where I had made a tab and I went outside of the front of the pub may I mention where the smoking area, I got followed by Paul screaming that I hadn’t payed my bill in front of everyone and when I said I hadn’t forgotten I’m outside smoking my vape he just stormed back in. Bear in mind they all know me in there as I’ve said previously I’ve worked here!! This is all because they have an issue with someone else close to us they are trying to make me and my partner feel uncomfortable. There’s many more things I can say about the staff in this place, but that will be sent to HR. Would also love to add that this is my first review I have made for this pub as you can see it says my name on at the top , I wouldn’t be as petty to be writing a review without my name on it now let’s be real. I’ll happily never come back!!!! I’ll be sending everything to HR with proof may I add :)

Our first visit to the local pub and I'm so glad we did. The staff were fantastic, so welcoming and helpful. The food was delicious and the atmosphere for the England match was brilliant. My kids loved it and we will definitely be back again.

Great atmosphere and good stuff, but disgusting food. Steak was very well done instead of medium that we asked for. And the burger was an absolute disaster with few long hair inside. The server was not helpful with both issues, mumbling "sorry, I will pass to the kitchen, I will pass to the manager" with only offering to redo the burger. Definitely not worth the money.

I came to the pub the staff are rude and I was sat in the garden for some food and see rats and mice running around it was awful. I told the staff and they shrugged their shoulders and walked away. I also noticed lots of drugs being passed around.

I visited this pub as we had been out for the night. I felt I would have had more chance of getting served if I was a mobile phone than a human. The staff were rude from start to finish. And the amount of drug dealers was horrendous and no discretion what so ever. Will definitely not be revisiting or recommending this pub.

Just had drinks on Friday night. Good quality selection on sprits and mixers. Not to busy.

Supervisor Kieran, is absolutely amazing! Dealt with our drink order quickly for my 2nd mothers 49th birthday Michelle. worth going again loved the vibes and beer garden back and forth kept good pase couldn't have a better dude there !

I came in with my mum and my daughter on Friday, after reading the menu there was to many good choice to decide on so we asked recommendations from the barman, kieran where he recommended the bacon cheese burgers and the child’s nuggets, chips and peas. After placing our order and not waiting long at all, the cutlery and sauces was at the table at same time as the drinks. Food was brought to the table within reasonable waiting time, presentation of the food was outstanding as well as the taste from chef Lewis, half way through the meal Lewis then came to ask if all was okay with food, which it was and the atmosphere of the pub was such a calm environment. Would definitely recommend for a day/evening meal. Thank you team rose and crown 😀

Went to Drag Bingo earlier this month and had a blast with my friends! Shout out to Heather Spoons for a fun enjoyable evening! Very fun lovely atmosphere and enjoyed the snack/sharer selections that were available. Great turn out as the event was sold out. Had the pleasure of sharing a table with some pub regulars & winners! Looking forward to more events like these

Nice pub. I went there to watch a football match. Good service by the staffs. Nice place to visit with friends and families.

Had a great time there yesterday, the staff were so welcoming. One of the staff there changed the channel just for us to watch the football game we desire to. Cause there were too many teams playing that day. I liked the hospitality very much. Also, the barman was very polite & friendly. Thank you ❤️

We attended an evening of entertainment, a local band playing their trade. Staff were excellent, keeping everyone fed and watered. Hope to see the band again, as the venue was bouncing! A superb evening and the pub made it great 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Lovely pub, all the staff our lovely!. Lewis behind the bar has definitely made a difference to me coming and I will be definitely buying my tickets for the drag night!

Lewis what can I say he is the chef and should be Michelin rated after our meal lewis asked for feedback (never been asked this before) so impressed with the service and flavorsome food will definitely be returning! Paul and Kevin are a delight too. You won't be disappointed!

The management team Nigel and Lisa fantastic the rest of the bar staff ie Lewis he is fantastic Emma/ Casper do a great job too , the rest of the staff shouldn't be behind the bar. So hopefully when you visit the rose they are not working.

We went to have dinner with my mother, it was the first day with the Christmas menu. 🎄 We both enjoyed the turkey Christmas dinner in both versions. But l especially want to pay attention to the friendly, positive and experienced -Julia 👍! And this magical evening was made special by a man who looked like Santa Claus 🎅 and lit up the star. ⭐️

We live just a few minutes walk from here and love this place! The food is always amazing! The chef cooks delicious food and we love having a chat with them! The bar service is down to earth and really nice with more than fair prices. We also met Lewis today who we had a good chat and a laugh with. Great service, delectable food and such a clean and friendly pub. Proud to call this our local!

Went in to grab a quick lunch on A Saturday afternoon was over 1 hour wait for the food didn't mind waiting as I had a drink. It was so worth the wait I can't explain I ordered of the light lunch menu camenbert &prosciutto ham sandwich it was out of this world extremely enjoyed it and would recommend

We booked Rose and Crown for a fun end of year drinks gathering for local mums to toast a successful end of year and could not have been happier with the service and friendliness of staff - Kevin, Lisa and Marina were so welcoming, warm and friendly and we all agreed what a brilliant night it had been!! Popped into the Rose & Crown for a pint and something to eat got a warm welcome from the bar staff, ordered steak medium/ well done sat down with my pint Lisa came from the kitchen asked if l wanted onion gravy peas with it which l did nothing was to much trouble got my steak done perfectly not burnt just right 10/10 to Lisa Gr8 pub keep the good work up.

Came in for a drink with mates, nearly died when I saw the selection ales, Timothy Taylor Landlord, one of my favourite beers, OMG! Then Ipa and Abbott Ale!!!! On hand pump??? PHOAR!!!

Great place, the staff are amazing and will always do their best in difficult circumstances. Well done team getting through, with hospital admissions over the weekend plus ride London causing havoc. I’m very sad to see local people not being understanding 🥲 please do not let this put you off, the staff here will bend over backwards to help you. Plus this pub is a dog social club!

We made a booking for a party of 8 for Sunday lunch. It was in a convenient location for our journey and only picked because of that. The pub itself is nice with wooden panelling and a decent garden which was great as it was a sunny day. Online booking system was also very good. The problems from thereon though were difficult to forgive. Firstly, most of the beers had run out leaving us a very small selection - on bank holiday Sunday, really? We were told that food would take at least an hour as they were short staffed and complicated by the fact that the chef had incurred an injury making things more difficult. We accepted that and ordered food knowing things weren't going to be perfect. The food, in fairness, was delivered within the hour. The main issue was that key parts of our order were taken down wrong and some of us just didn't get what we had ordered. A haloumi salad was drenched in oil and a sweet dressing of some sort which made much of it inedible. An identical caesar salad came as grilled chicken on a side salad. A plain salad main came as a side salad (quickly rectified in fairness). It was too late to change the other inaccurate dishes which left us underwhelmed. The staff were just overwhelmed and the food we had just wasn't good enough.

Dreadful. Everyone who came in at the bar had to search for a member of the bar staff to he served. Waits of 10-20 mins...When they arrived they were rude. Reconsidering 'local'....

Local pub. Good selection of beers. If u like pubs you can like the Rose. It’s not a restaurant. It’s typical pub food. Looks a lots better than it tastes. It’s quite amazing how pubs do that. Beef crisps are very good.

My partner and i visited this pub on a Saturday afternoon for a meal. The pub was clean and the member of staff on the bar was very friendly and efficient considering she was by herself and running food too. The chef explained there would be a wait which we didn't mind as we had picky bits, but she too was on her own and felt very sorry for both members of staff who were holding a busy pub by themselves on a Saturday afternoon. The food arrived after a short wait and it was hot and we'll presented. We indulged in desserts and this too was really satisfying. I have given 5 stars for the level of service but do feel the pub could have done with an extra member of staff on a busy Saturday. I would like to personally thank the lady behind the bar for keeping a smile on her face at all times even though she was rushed off her feet. Will definitely return soon 👍

Booked the Rose and Crown as a last minute visit and had never visited before so we didnt know what we would get. We were not dissapointed! Excellent service and the food was lovely! Perfect family atmosphere and very well priced! Could not fault our visit and would defo come again. Forget the big chains for food and head to your local pub as all of our meals were perfect

My son had come over from Netherlands so we all met up in Rose and Crown, there were 11 adults and a 1 year old. The service was excellent, 9 of us had a roast and the other 2 had sausage and mash and a chicken salad, the chefs Nigel and Lisa did a magnificent job and the food was sooo nice! Compliments to Nigel and Lisa :o) I so recommend that you visit this pub as the staff are very friendly and couldn't do enough for you.

This is such a comfortable pub and it is so nice to be in the Rose & Crown where there is always a warm welcome. The beer and cocktails are good and reasonably priced. The new menu is tasty and we love the Mac & Cheese, which is now our comfort dish! The dogs are always made welcome. Many thanks to Nicole & Lisa for looking after us so well & for the wonderful food. See you again soon!

Have eaten here numerous times in the past and it's always been pretty decent pub grub but this time it was particularly good. The chef Lisa obviously has a passion for food. Everything was cooked so well and the plates were dressed very professionally. Nicole served us and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely come again without hesitation.

We booked the area at the back of the pub for my daughters baby shower. Lisa the chef laid on all the food and there was plenty of it and lots of variety it was fantastic. We decorated the venue with banners and balloons and...

Friendly staff, great food, good value. The mix and match plates are a great shout, especially the sliders. We got three of the mix n match plates to share. one of the plates we chose was the beyond meat sliders, thinking they would be tiny. But they were actually a decent size. If you're after a quick/smaller meal you could get the sliders and a bowl of fries to share and be quite happy.

Great local pub with a really homely feel and cosy atmosphere. Lovely staff, great choice of tasty food and drinks on reasonable prices. The chef always comes to greet us and ask for our opinion about the food. My hubby and I enjoy going there on our day off work.

My son had a small party for his 18th at The R&C.Nigel suggested a bbq in the garden which was the perfect choice. Food, service and helpfulness of Nigel and his staff was amazing. They made the day really special. Can't thank them enough.
