Always impressed over the years. Hot food great prices, lots of toys and even mini soft play area. Owners are lovely and always hard working with a smile. Hot chocolate with marshmallow looked amazing on someone's table last time we went. Halal food.

Not feeling safe to go in this place anymore with my daughter after being a customer for more than two years( time that I believe we were quite friendly and respectful with everyone around 🤗 ),do to a group of nannies that have made that place like their own, with their rules, So as they are indoors since morning to afternoon,the children in their care sleep in front of the bathroom area 👀🫣 🚽 very appropriate it by the way from my point of view of course...🧐 So sometimes last month s I have been requested to keep my daughter 🔕 silent when running happily around and where are the couches 🛋️🛋️" so a few times I tried to calm down the excitement of my little one until one day when I replied back with"that I don't think is appropriate for them to request me that,as is a play area... Etc Well it didn't get well to this one" lady nanny "as the other day only for looking around curious about a strong noise that came from the side where she was walking from, only for that she started arguing with me ,and throwing words to me like being mentally unstable, SPEAK ENGLiSh, when I believe my English is acceptable , she told me to go outside so she can beat me etc.. all that in front of children and my daughter and of course the other s from the group that were laughing because I started shaking... I didn't want to call the police as I don't think my daughter needs to see all that drama ,but yes I will stop going in a place where, I have raised my concern to the management at the 3 th request of keeping my daughter silent 🔕😶 by a second one from the group, and even if I explain myself in detail with all the issues I have encountered with them I haven't received any support 😞 ... anyway they didn't take me to seriously in my opinion..so it ends with threatening and bullying ... Thank you I believe it is enough for all the good times My little girl did have in your cafeteria...

Fantastic place to take your kids. Indoor and outdoor playing. wonderful staff. Turkish sausage and cheese toastie also a highlight!

Went there for some coffee and cake, coffee was lovely cakes were very tasty and enjoyed by everyone. The service was very good and the waitress was cheerful and happy to help. Will definitely go again when I am in the area.

Had an Americano with non dairy milk which cost £4! Bearing in mind it is basically a black coffe with a dash of oat milk I think it is very expensive. They charge 60p extra for any non dairy milk! Won't be going back.

this cafe has astounding food with incredible service and the food arrived within 2 minutes of ordering. the workers are extremely kind and friendly, especially the owners creating a safe and loving environment for all. would definitely come again.

Nice cafe in ray lodge park next to the children's playground. It has improved greatly over my last visit many years ago. We ordered a panini and a wrap both of which were good coming with a nice salad garnish. The capuchinos were also good quality and well presented. Only slight annoyance was a very squeaky swing in the playground next to the cafe but I can't blame them for that.

This cafe has very friendly staff if your just wanting an ice cream, wrap or a little bit more. Lots of drinks to choose from . Very clean and child friendly . If you don't want to be child friendly there are separate areas.

I stopped in for something to eat and a milkshake the staff were all friendly and welcoming. I really enjoyed the food and will be coming by again. Thank for a great time.

Excellent cafe with a great little children's soft play area. Easy to relax with a coffee or cheesy chips whilst the kids play. I'm a big fan of the quaint lift music constantly accompanying my drinks.

A lovely local cafe in the heart of Ray Park. The staff are very friendly and the food and coffee is delicious and reasonably priced. The small play area and soft play are a welcome asset, especially on rainy days.

The son of this establishment was super polite and friendly. Although 15 mins for chippies is not exeptable! But they were nice so I’ll let them off.

What a great café It has loads of food options and most if not all of the meat in here is Halal which is a plus for me and any other Muslims thinking of visiting. Since the café has been redone and under new management the food options are really good and various and they do soft serve ice cream and slushies. The ice cream portions are very generous. The fries in this place are so moorish I just can't get over them, the portions are really good. I love that they don't skimp on the portion for the fries you certianly get your moneys worth. There is a good play room area with loads of toys for my little one which he loves to play with all the toys. There are colouring crayons and pencils on the tables and there are also comfy sofas with coffee tables and books for adults and kids. The café is really friendly for children and babies and the staff that work here are really friendly and amazing and really make the café work. The staff are really good and usually have food ready quite quickly which is great when you have a child. I really enjoy going to this café and if you're in the park I'd highly recommend you visit this place, it's way better than some park cafés I been to.

One of my favourite places to go with my young children. Khan and his parents run a pleasant, friendly, and welcoming cafe and soft play with plenty of toys and books for the kids. Delicious coffee in a great environment!

Cute little cafe in Ray Park. They do a good latte. A few interesting things on the menu that I have yet to sample, in addition to the standard cafe fare. Prices are pretty reasonable. There is a kids play area with some donated toys, etc.

Always friendly staff. Great food and drinks at good prices and a small soft play area. Had my kids birthday there - very decent sized venue room. Cant beat Ray park for the kids.

Very popular particularly with mum's with young children, clean inside and good coffee, quite a range of food but I only stop for a coffee, outside seating which is nice for when the weather is good

Wonderful place under the management of a young manager, who works enthusiastically with his team to make his cafe best in era. Whether it is breakfast lunch or dinner every option is available here. Snacks, drinks for kids as well as adults. They arrange all type of parties too but don't forget to give prior information. Moms 👩! Guess what now comes the happy part about this cafe. There is a soft play area with different kinds of toys in it. That means you can relax while children have fun. Only thing is you have to order something from cafe. After all it is a private place.

For a little, independent cafe, this place is great. Very decent food and drinks menu. Very pleasant staff/owners. Nice to see an independent do well. Chris.

Very nice and clean cafe, in the middle of the park. The morther ( Behtu) and son (Khan) that run the cafe are very friendly. food price is reasonable too and customer service is 100%. We enjoy spending time there....its a beautiful park

Great Coffee Shop at the Ray Park! James Leal Centre Café is now under new management and renamed as Ray Park Café! Mom and son were working together! They were very lovely, smiling and welcoming! Mocha made by the son was absolutely great! Café is inside the James Leal Centre which is almost in the middle of the Ray Park and right next to the Children's Play Area and Tennis 🎾 Courts, Outdoor Gym, Basketball 🏀 Court! Along with the café, it has indoor Soft Play for children and books 📚 for children 🧒! For adults, a cosy sofa with lots of information ℹ and books available! A brilliant outdoor veranda seating place and Picnic Tables by the garden are available for guests to enjoy the green, Read books, relax and grab something from the café! Their menu is quite broad with various items including sandwiches, cakes, biscuits, snacks, drinks, ice-cream🍦etc! It has accessible toilet and limited disabled parking right next to the Café! Main car park is by the main entrance of the park!

The Staff were brilliant absolute class service for reasonable prices and the food was brilliant! I was very hungry and this place will definitely be my place to go!

A wonderful cafe in a lovely park. Welcoming space with such friendly and helpful staff, great selection of food and coffee. Such a treat to find a space that works for both kids and adults, clean, light and spacious. A great indoor play area for younger kids, extensive menu, delicious food with lots of homemade cakes and pastries. Well worth a visit.

This very well equipped park will keep children of all ages active. The cafe in its modern building is well worth a visit. Super staff, it is good to support small local businesses like this.

Tried this on my own really not much going on boring to say the least. Cheap possibly best comment I could give it. I came around school time too so was stuck in traffic! All in all not for me

Come here when visiting the park with my children. The staff here are always helpful and smiling and willing to go out of their way to make something just the way you like it.

I've just reviewed 'The Cherry Tree Cafe' in Wanstead, and as I hit 'submit', it reminded me to look this place up and review too, Much like The Cherry Tree, The Ray Park Cafe (TRPC) used to employ adults with special needs, which I thought was commendable and tempered the pitbull-weilding mums screaming hypocritically at other dangerous-mastiff-equipped mums about 'dogs in the playground'. Last year, I had heard that TRPC had closed, perhaps due to funding cuts; our friends told us that that they hadn't seen it open when they'd taken their kids to the park, so my partner and I both assumed it was shut for good. Luckily we were all wrong; if it had shut down, it has reopened, possibly slightly better than it had been before. Having visited this Sunday, I met the new owner of the cafe, whom said he'd quit being a landlord in Hackney to take on something quieter. Credit to the new owner, he has retained everything that was great about TRPC under the previous ownership; good cakes, great sandwiches, and a decent range of hot food, AND they've even brought back the CHIPS, mysteriously banned out-of-season in 2012. They have now installed a soft play area, seating at the back, and some sofas, all of which appeals to the families using the playground next door. Prices for food are reasonable, and a bit like the Cherry Tree, you feel that the business has been thought out to benefit the community, as well as the cafe itself (even if less so than previously); the place gives me an odd protective feeling; you want to sweep the already-clean floor and wipe-down the already-tidy tables, in case the owner suddenly gives up, and shuts it for good. When I started using Ray Park occasionally in 2005/06, I remember feeling it had a MUCH edgier feel to it but now its has a far more welcoming atmosphere. Great example of regeneration working in Redbridge, and I really, really hope the cafe gets the custom it deserves.
