Visited with friends after doing a party for 80 people. Good service and food. I had aubergine in tomato to start with followed by chicken shish. All perfectly prepared

Visited with my wife this evening. Delicious food, generous portions and wonderful staff. The portions are far too big for us but we were able to take the leftovers we had home. Highly recommend.

Mum and l often pop in here on our way home. The staff are always friendly and welcoming to us. The food is first rate, great quantity and delicious. The place itself is immaculate and very accommodating. Always guaranteed of a good time. Highly recommend.

Visited with friends on Friday evening. I decided to go vegetarian for a change. For starters I had Mucver, however I found it to salty even though i added chilli oil. For my main course I had Mushroom Provincial with rice. This was delicious

Visited on Sunday with friends. Was very surprised it wasn't very busy. I had deep-fried courgette to start It was lovely but a bit salty for my taste. That was followed by grilled chicken and vegetables. The portion of chicken was huge. Staff were very friendly

I like to look for the positives, and there was nothing really wrong with this restaurant, except for two of us they didn't have what we ordered. The food was basic but tasted OK. It was all just a bit ordinary and impersonal.

We visited this restaurant in a large family group. Interior is very stylish is comfortable and relaxing. Food is reasonably priced and is very good quality with large portions. Everyone of us were very impressed with the food quality with such a large choice too. Service is very quick and extremely friendly. I can definitely recommend this restaurant as the food, service and atmosphere made it a pleasurable evening. We'll definitely return.

Had my 30th birthday here on Saturday and I must say I will DEFINITELY be returning.. the food was just amazing and amazing size portions. The cocktails actually tasted like they had alcohol in them and not watered down! Ended up having about 6 the passionfruit mojito was just the best! Thank you all for a lovely evening!

Fitted us in so last minute, fully booked but fitted us in last minute, no rushing at all. Absolutely fantastic food, we had lamb and sea bass, couldn’t fault it, wine was good. Impeccable service can’t wait to go back 🙂

Mezze is a nice Turkish restaurant next to Woodford Station. Visited for a Birthday celebration and only ate from a set menu. Although some staff didn't speak English the service was very good. We had so many mezzes in between the meal that it was difficult to eat the main. I had the fillet of Seabass for the main and enjoyed what I was able to consumer. I like the little things they do different compared to other Turkish restaurants. Overall it was a nice experience.

Really tasty in flavour, more quality than quantity and that’s what makes it nice as people tend to do the opposite. The mix shish is a great variety of both with tender meat. Cocktails are super nice especially the lychee martini! Great for mid-week dining...

Made a booking for dinner for 8pm last night, and on arrival we were rudely told the only table available was one in the corner under the kitchen hatch, and about 30cm from the table next to it. There was no social distancing in place...

We've called in a few times for brunch on Sunday. Can get busy but deservedly so. I particularly enjoy the avocado/ poached egg combo. Service friendly and efficient - Recommended.

We were lucky enough to be invited to a Birthday party here (Thank you Marilyn and Jim) and as it was a little off our Manor we weren't familiar with the place. I, as a lover of Turkish and Mediterranean food, looked forward to a meaty, tasty filling repast , and i wasn't disappointed ! The food (I'm not going to list what i had, because it was a buffet, and i tasted loads) was wonderful. Laid out to look, as it tasted, simply superb ! It was a Great family afternoon because of the attentive and family friendly service. One thing i look to in a restaurant is a good house wine, the house red was a lovely surprise as it was very quaffable. Now we have discovered Mezze, we will be back and thanks Ertan, Boris and Giedre and staff for some great food and wine and a memorable day......and all for free !

My partner and I entered this establishment to simply have a drink at the bar. Can you imagine my surprise when the waiter told us that we were not allowed to only order drinks! Even though the restaurant and bar was empty we were still turned away. What a disappointing and strange outcome. We felt offended and confused by this rule. Simply based on on this experience neither we, and none of my friends and family will be returning.

I have never had a bad experience here. Always fantastic service, amazing food and fab atmosphere. It’s one of my favourites and return again and again, great for a night out with friends and you’re guaranteed a fab night.

A lovely restaurant situated close to Woodford underground station. We ordered a selection of various starters all of which were delicious, freshly prepared and beautifully presented. This restaurant obviously uses top quality ingredients and this is reflected in the food that is served. The main courses were huge and one could easily be shared by two people, again all were superb, delicately spiced with tender meats and delicious side dishes all of which were presented beautifully. The staff are attentive and friendly but not over intrusive. Great food, lovely restaurant and good value what more could you want?

My eldest daughter (22) chose this restaurant for her birthday dinner. I had expected yet another Greek/Turkish mixed food affair but was pleasantly surprised. Booked a table for 5 for 8pm. We arrived a little early and it looked packed, there was one table left and it was ours which we were shown straight to. I was pleased to see that the menu was not extensively long and all looked good value. I was also pleased to see a vegetarian section as our youngest daughter (16) has recently converted. The cocktail and wine menu also looked good. We ordered 4 cocktails and a bottle of wine. The cocktails took a while to arrive but I could see the barmen making them fresh so was happy to wait. We ordered starters and mains at the same time.The starters arrived in a timely manner and all were well prepared, piping hot and generous. We all enjoyed them. The basket of bread was very tasty. After a timely wait our mains arrived, all were extremely generous in size. My mixed grill was delicious. Some of us had dessert, some more cocktails, again all were very good.Things I dislikedThe noise - on a usual night I’d think it was just a noisy restaurant. However on this visit (our first) a large group behind us chose to put 5 children aged about 9-12 together at the end of the table. They were loud in the way that children are in the playground, not inside. They were unable to sit still, sitting under the table, walking around and going outside. The adults with them did tell them to be quiet several times as several tables around them were looking over to register that they were being disturbed but they just escalated the noise again quickly. Several couples were moved further away from them as the restaurant became quieter later in the evening. We didn't bother but it was an option. I know the restaurant isn’t at fault here but it did spoil what otherwise was a very good evening. We found ourselves in Woodford and on an impulse decided to have lunch at Mezze. We were early and the kitchen hadn’t yet opened but the very welcoming waiter (Aldin? Sorry if the spelling is wrong) gave us some complimentary bread and dips with our drinks. We chose off the lunch menu which was unbelievable value. The food was fresh, beautifully flavoured and very well presented. We will certainly be back. And soon!

Came here for a different Turkish to our usual and we were not disappointed

We booked a table during the day and by the time we arrived they said they couldn't see anything. When they finally found it we still had to wait 30-40 minutes to be seated. We were in an undesirable spot next to the toilets. Sure enough this place has a vibe although a little chaotic. I think they should offer a drink when they delay your table for that long. Otherwise the food is decent and I think its fair value for money. A bit more of a trendy crowd but thankfully much less pretentious than Sheesh.

Enjoyed a wonderful evening - great food, great setting, great service. The Eskinder kabob was especially delicious. Close to metro. If ever in Woodford again, will be sure to visit for another splendid meal.

Dinner night at Mezze. Pros - good food, atmosphere, service. So basically ticks all the boxes for a nice restaurant. Cons - A bit pricey.

My first visit here and it certainly wont be my last. Food is excellent, the meat is so tender and the portions are large. Came for lunch with a friend and we were very well looked after.

We had a very enjoyable lunch on Tuesday from the lunchtime menu which was good value for money. The staff were welcoming & the food was very good. We will be returning.

After frequenting various Turkish restaurants within the surrounding areas, I have to say this is by far the best one. The food is of an extremely high standard and the service is top class too. My girlfriend and I have dined here several times and have always left extremely content.

Booked for friends on a Friday evening. Really appreciated all their touches such as the olives on the table, the strawberry in the prosecco, generous portion of salad, bread and even the little Turkish delight with the bill. Would really recommend. Service was excellent- my friend is gluten free and this was accommodated in every way/ course.

Mezze has a lovely atmosphere staff are great and very efficient. The food is amazing especially the Calamar Tava starter if your a squid lover the spicy Mediterranean prawns are beautiful as well . Mix shish is good and the home made chips are a must . Book to guarantee a table

We visited this restaurant last week to celebrate my husband s birthday. We were shocked to find that the cheapest wine on the list was a Chardonnay at £26 and as we don’t like Chardonnay we ordered another white at £28 which was very ordinary.

Saturday night and it was really busy, but the service was still good. Quite noisy, but not unbearably so and everyone seemed to be having a good time.

We came here to celebrate my friend's birthday, so we had to book in advance, as the restaurant gets very busy.

We were having a post Christmas large family gathering for lunch with children and adults. The restaurant was not busy and so no reason for unpleasant service. No complaints about the food, but the manager was rude and impatient.

Restaurant less than half full on a Monday evening so did the dance music need to be so loud. Totally the wrong type of music for a restaurant, we wanted to eat and talk, not dance.

We went to mezze last night.there where 14 of us celebrating a birthday.it was my first time.we where greeted and seated quickly. From then on the drinks kept coming.between us we must have had half the menu.everybody really enjoyed the food.the service was great and the waiters where fun,which made an enjoyable evening..Will definitely be going back.....

2nd visit to Mezze, service was v good as was the quality of the food. We enjoyed the mixed mezze to start and the chicken and lamb shish mains. Foodwise I think restaurant offers good value for money (£45) but 4 small bottles of Efes beer pushed total bill to £66.

I cannot fault this restaurant, which is why I keep returning. Boris and his team keep the standard very high. The staff are lovely and very friendly and the service is good. There is always a lively atmosphere. The food is tasty and delicious and the portions are very big. The prices are very reasonable. What more can you ask for.

This restaurant is brilliant- we have eaten here many times and not once has anything disappointed. The quality of the food is outstanding. We love the chicken liver starter and the monkfish for main is so delicious. In fact we haven’t tried any dish that hasn’t been fab. It is my mother in laws favourite local restaurant and she goes at every opportunity- she is 91 and is greeted like family. The staff are so wonderful. I hope they continue to prosper.

We had the whole restaurant booked out for a diamond wedding celebration, and it was all round fantastic.

We have been coming here for a few years now as the food is always consistently delicious and the service is attentive, So we thought it would be a great place to have a party and Mezze didn’t disappoint! 63 people for Lunch and I cannot give the chef (s) or the staff a big enough thank you for making it such a special occasion. The service was fantastic and the food was as always amazing ,absolutely delicious and all was served hot. I really can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough. Thank you again.

Staff did very well with a large crowd. Food was not quick but well worth waiting for. Tasty mezzes and kebabs to follow with attentive but not insistent wine service which is always nice to see. A splendid way to celebrate.

The mezze starters and adana kofta mains were genuinely spiced and really tasty. Judging by our experience , Mezze is well worth a visit visiting for any food lover.

we visited this restaurant in March 2018. it wasnt too busy and we had no problem to get a table for 4 of us. food was delicious, big portions, nice atmosphere, good service. I would recommend this restaurant, and definitely will go back.

As a party of 16 we arrived at 8.30 to find the table we had pre booked and paid a deposit for wasn’t ready. Some of us got a drink at the bar while we waited for others to arrive. We were seated shortly after but ones that arrived after this waited for half an hour to order a drink which we had to ask for.

Was very busy and for the area there are so many Turkish restaurants that are better value than this one.

I have been a regular customer at this restaurant since it opened. It just gets better and better. The atmosphere is buzzy. The food is fresh and delicious. The portion sizes are great and the service is good. Frank, Boris and the rest of the staff are really friendly. It’s excellent value for money. What more can you ask for?

We love Turkish food and there are many Restaurants in this area to choose from. Besides Sheesh, this is our favourite because the guys who serve are always attentive and friendly and the food is great. There is a good choice of starters, particularly love the courgettes and the Turkish pizza and apart from the Shish dishes, the Meat and the Vegetarian Moussaka is fabulous. Nice variation of clientele too, not too pretentious. Highly recommend it.

Clearly this restaurant is popular, on a Thursday night it was packed but we managed to get in without having booked so a good start.We were seated immediately and given menus but from there it went downhill. We had to find a waiter to take our order having been ignored for 15 minutes.

We had lunch here today, there was a lunch offer. We opted for 2 courses, could have had 3 - both reasonably priced.

We hadn't booked for out January visit but luckily we were giving a table. We opted for hellim (halloumi) and liver for starters and the portions were huge.

I have eaten at this restaurant many times as its suitable for special occasions, when spending time with loved ones or just because you fancy a nice meal out at the last minute. Even though its always busy, you can normally get a table with no reservation. The portions are very generous and a dish can sometimes be shared for 2 people. We always add a few things like chips and the delicious garlic mushrooms. All meals are served with a delicious salad and lovely warm naan bread. The service is impeccable, the ambiance nice and friendly with great background music. Its one of my go to places if I need somewhere nice for a good meal that's value for money and relatively local to me in Essex.

Popped in here early afternoon and tried the meal offer. This was very good value for money and the food was lovely also came with salad and bread, dips and olives. The two guys working were both friendly and helpful.

Well presented and cosy restaurant; warm atmosphere, delicious food. Not a number one fan of Mediterranean food,but was surprised! In addition, GREAT service, thank you Mezze team for amazing evening! Recommend!

I went with my family for my mums birthday not knowing anything about the restaurant. However the food was amazing and the cocktails were lovely. Very busy with a great atmosphere. I cannot wait to go back again soon.
