Unpretentious great spot where one can unwind after a whirlwind of market hopping in the area. The pastel de nata was truly something to go with that spectacular coffee.
Thank you scorpion very friendly staff lovely decor fantastic service Great cocktail made appetisers you should definitely try it thank you again Scorpio
10/10 coffee shop! Had the most delicious mocha and Byron Bay chocolate cookie (evidently I have a sweet tooth). Barista was such a nice guy - sorry I didn't catch his name.
Overall it exceeded my expectations for what I thought was a quick coffee stop. Do yourself a favour and give the pret opposite a miss and get a delicious coffee here for the same price!
First, the service is always fantastic. Friendly staff who are never too busy to stop and have a conversation with the customer. The coffee is much better than what you'll find from a high-street chain and the food is homemade and healthier. Recently they have also ventured into stone baked pizzas and even make their own bread on site. Gluten-free and vegan options also available. Cannot recommend these guys highly enough. 5 Stars all around!
Came here for lunch and it did not disappoint. Love that everything is vegan with a big menu.
We ordered a couple of salads that were very tasty and a kimchi Bao and that was very good.
Reasonably priced with friendly staff.
We wanted to try this place for a long time, having heard of the international reputation of owner/Chef Arthur. We were not disappointed. Now we understand why there was such talking about this place.
Overall Great authentic food ! Excellent spicy margarita.
I will be back soon, before it gets overcrowded.
Thank you !
This is one of London's best kept secrets. Amazing for anybody looking for a quiet and intimate place with ambient vibes. The music is gentle and soothing and the lighting is not bright and fluorescent. I can't speak highly enough of the customer service by Santhuru he is incredibly personable and attentive to the needs of the customers. He was able to cater and advise based on my allergies and my sober requirements as I do not drink alcohol. Would definitely visit again.
We had dinner recently at Empire Empire, which is a relatively recently opened restaurant in Notting Hill and part of the Gunpowder group. The menu is mainly northern indian with a few modern twists. The food is a hit and miss experience; the prawn amritsari pakoras and the king prawns kadhai masala were both very good, the lamb chops were fine but not anything special. The butter chicken and paneer makhani were quite bland; there was a mixed verdict from our group on the kale patta chaat. Also worth noting that the naan are quite small. Overall, we had a good meal, but this was mainly due to the hard work of the manager (who appeared to be running a solo show); we had a go on the jukebox which was fun. So, 3 stars for the food plus one for the staff!
