Unpretentious great spot where one can unwind after a whirlwind of market hopping in the area. The pastel de nata was truly something to go with that spectacular coffee.

So this place is such a gem in Harlesden. It is wonderfully laid out, classy and clean but also cheap and such great quality. You buy a £3.25 toastie and it comes with a delicious olive oil. Oh my gosh the olive oil! It's incredible. The pastries look all fresh and each one is delicious and cheap too. The coffee is tasty and the staff lovely. Feels relatively covid safe too. Really live this cafe

Staff unfriendly, coffee delicious, pastel de nata not very good, we were not made welcome by the staff or other customers, who do like women in their company

We have been customers here for over 19 years, so you can surmise we like and enjoy the place. The coffee is excellent. The toasted cheese bun is savoury and filling, and to top things up we take home boxed custard tarts. The clientele is varied and interesting. The tiled shop warm and cosy inside - and the tables and seating outside provide for the warmer weather.

Had a lovely mint tea (shame no fresh mint though) and the most enormous slice of red velvet gateau we'd ever seen. When I ordered the 2 slices , I'd thought it would standard slices but we were given just short of a quarter of the cake drawing comments from nearside tables. Sat outside in the sun which was very enjoyable.

Un-pretentious and welcoming, good value, and above all excellent coffee/hot chocolate with non-dairy alternatives. Have been here lots of times and I like the simplicity and daily café feel. Staff have always been polite and warm to me.

Been coming here for years - love it! It has recently changed hands and I actually think it’s better. Was sad to read people have been refused to use the loo - my daughter (3 years old) asks and hey allow her - actually more friendly now for families. Coffee could be better but the food offer is traditional and good.

Been coming for years for good coffee, pastries, and warm and lively atmosphere. Customers were never allowed to use staff loo, but the previous owner allowed my wife who cannot walk far to use their loo. The new owner does not allow this. For practical reasons we can no longer visit the place, and are amazed at the new lack of generosity and kindness, and will sorely miss it. If you do visit please bring this up with the new owner.

Good coffee, custard and egg tarts, cakes, sandwiches etc. Busy atmosphere with most customers speaking Portuguese. No loos; but people can use those in the college which is almost next door (go in past reception and turn left). Much better value than the coffee chains, and far more interesting. Would be even better if prices were displayed on each plate of cakes/tarts.

Great coffee, great service, great natas! Used to come here a lot when I lived in the area a couple of years ago. Still absolutely as good as ever.

Come here for the egg tarts and the cafe con leche and sit on the street with the rest of the local Portuguese guys and enjoy this low-key bit of the neighborhood before going on with your day. Sugar, caffeine, and sun when it's available. Can't go wrong!

Stopped on a rainy saturday for cake and coffee - delicious bolo de arroz and pastel de nata along with wonderful coffee. The savoury pastel de bacalhao (salt cod pastries) and Rissois de camarao (shrimp dumplings) looked good although we didn't try them.

After a long walk through Portobello Market this is the place to stop for a coffe and delicious Portuguese pastries. Down to earth, genuine and honestly priced. A great little gem.

This casual restaurant has a variety of dishes that satisfied us. It is a good place for a basic meal. The restaurant recommends 3-4 dishes per person but we found that 4 dishes was enough for the 2 of us.

Wonderful place to wake up, have a hearty breakfast and start the day. We were here in October and sat outside. The staff is super friendly and accommodating and the food, from perfect pochesd eggs to full English breakfast to normal croissants, has something for everyone. Absolute recommendation Edit: two years later, still perfect!!
