Come a casa con delle verdure fatte benissimo e prezzi italianissimi . Un posto famigliare e ottimo . Mi è piaciuto moltissimo e sicuramente ci torno . Anche la zona è popolare la carina .

Having lived in Italy growing up and also fortunate to no Giorgio Locatelli. When I came across Panella near where I used to live near Portobello Road, I was and still am blessed by husband & wife team… Catarina and Giuseppe who serve up the most delicious home cooked Sicilian food. Always busy, constantly delicious 😋… extremely friendly.. A must place to go. Very reasonable too.

Piccolo locale dove sentirsi un po’ a casa. Si ordina al bancone e ritira il piatto caldo, accomodandosi in uno dei tavolini. Il cibo qui è fatto con amore, semplice e gustosissimo. Primi ottimi: lasagne, parmigiana, caserecce. Tutti saporiti e serviti in porzioni abbondanti. Scelta di secondi e contorni. Dolci golosi e cannoli riempiti al momento con un’ottima ricotta. La genuinità dei proprietari fa la differenza e davvero ci si sente a casa. Prezzi contenuti per la zona a due passi da Portobello.

What an experience we had. On our trip to London, my wife and I visited several fancy restaurants. But I have to say, the food at Panella was way better than most of them. Simple, unassuming and delicious homemade food. I felt like my mom had made the pasta! The vibe was home-like and the staff were so kind and welcoming.

I went today for lunch with my friend, first experience for me, but he talked about this place for months. We had a portion of croché (delicius;)) as a starter, and then we ordered a Carbonara for me and Penne with fresh swordfish and aubergine for my friend. Needless to say, my Carbonara was one of the best I ever taste here in London, and believe me, I’m Italian:). The swordfish was beautifully cooked and the sauce was amazing. We finished our lunch with a couple of real Sicilian cannoli each, we literally ate them in 0.2 sec , they were outstanding! I bought 2 more take away, they were too good! I’ll definitely come back to try oder things from the menu, i’m glad I’ve discovered this place! Well done guys!

I was recommended this place by an Italian friend so I had a late weekend lunch here. The staff were really friendly and the food was really really good. Best cappuccino I have had in ages and the desserts were lovely. They do proper Sicilian food with really good ingredients. Planning on going again next week!

We found Panella by accident on Monday. Authentic delicious food at a good price. Lovely atmosphere. It was sunny so we ate outside and there was a real Mediterranean feel on Golborne Road under the Trellick Tower! I will definitely be back. The patron Caterina is lovely! :)

The locals and Italians know about this place and queues form at 12:30 ready for the opening of the kitchen that serve delicious plates of pasta, starters like burrata and caponata as well other mains like chicken and cod depending on what's going on in the kitchen that day. The cold counter has a colourful range of salads and the most amazing arancine and fried calzone. The organised chaos just adds to the Italian atmosphere. Genuinely lucky to have this place in West London and it adds to the amazing food options around Golbourne Road.

This interesting café has a big following and we were fortunate to get a table for lunch. The food is very good and genuine Sicilian with rather large portions of pasta and fantastic coffee. A lot of locals do take-away. We visited with our daughter and baby and were made very welcome. It is rather homely and we had a great lunch. Prices are very reasonable and service excellent. The décor is trendy and good. We’d sure return for an informal great meal.

honestly would never write a review, but they used the same pan for the vegan gnocchi as some meat dish, and as a result I was left with some claw shaped meat in my lunch.. I had to throw it up, and they didn't even offer a refund, only a shrug. A charming couple.

This was my 2nd visit to this excellent local Sicilian restaurant very pop up feel with the lovely mother taking orders heating up food, making coffee & serving like buffet style before u sit down to eat. She is fantastic polite & energetic but I feel it’s so busy she needs more help other than her husband in the kitchen. All the food looked v nice. I had the meatballs with 2 types of vegetables. The sauce was great but feel that because it was not heated up enough I got a bad tummy! I’m sure this was unusual as the place was very busy and felt like the best restaurant in the area apart from 108 the Garage which is very expensive but wow food! Panella was about £10 inc a coffee so its excellent value for £. I do hope they get another staff there so that that they can continue serving excellent food with their lovely comfortable environment.

We come here a few times a week. It gets really busy around lunch time, so head early (the queue goes out the door). It’s generally between £5.50-£8.00 for a hearty pasta dish (menu changes daily). They also have a cold ‘salad bar’ style offering as well as Panini.

At the top of Golborne Road right under the Trellick Tower is a Sicilian restaurant like no other. Caterina welcomes everyone at the counter where she serves you beautifully cooked vegetables (don't miss out on the caponata) and really good coffee. Or you can order pasta, gnocci, panella and much more. It's all prepared in a tiny open plan kitchen by her husband Giuseppe who calls out your name when it's ready. The focus is on food rather than fancy decor and the prices are very, very reasonable. Arrive before 12.45 if you don't want to queue.

Can’t get this lovely place to reply to me either by phone or email, I really wanted to reserve a table, what a shame.

Had a lovely dinner at this restaurant. The atmosphere was very cozy and welcoming. We were served by a gentleman named Ondrej. He was very friendly and helpful. Food was amazing and very great price for such a wonderful quality of food. Definitely recommend and will be visiting again!
