Such a great place in Audlem! Great atmosphere, relaxed but sophisticated ambiance. The food is amazing. The croquettes are brilliant and the winter roast was divine. Wines all tasted great with some unusual wines available.I’ve added a picture is a really lovely white I had that I also bought to bring home.
Fast and genuinely warm service. The chicken and lamb cubes were perfectly soft—yes, even the lamb, and we’re famously picky. No old sheep vibes here.
The homemade sauces, courtesy of the mum whooshing around, added that perfect homely touch.
Professional yet personal and at a fair price. We’ll be back.

Simmons used to be our good local pub you could pop into and grab a drink on a Friday or Saturday and listen to some good music... but now it has been taken over by road men and drugs pushers as a meeting and selling point!!
Just sitting at the counter or on tables for a drink, they will try to push you out, have your drink poured out, or have their gangs intimidate you.
We must have our neighbourhood businesses secure and peaceful, or we will lose our freedom and security to drugs and gangs!
To the management and staff, it's time you decide what clientele you want to patron your pub!
Truly excellent service from start to finish—huge thanks to Jason for the incredibly warm welcome, exceptional attention to detail, and outstanding level of care throughout our visit. His hospitality made the entire experience feel personal, comfortable, and genuinely memorable. We couldn’t have asked for a better host—thank you again!
Firin is a hidden gem tucked away from the busy streets of King’s Cross. The moment you step inside, you’re transported to a cozy and intimate space, beautifully decorated with traditional Turkish touches that give the restaurant an authentic feel. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it an excellent spot for a relaxed meal away from the city's hustle and bustle. It was a small place, and good thing we booked as there were a number of parties who came, but was turned away as there wasn't any space for them.
This was my first time dining at Firin, and while I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, I did have one minor issue. The dish I ordered was much smaller than I had anticipated. I wish I had been informed about the portion size beforehand, as I would have ordered additional sides to complete the meal. That being said, the food itself was delicious—fresh, well-seasoned, and full of rich, traditional flavours. Everyone in my group enjoyed their dishes, and the overall experience was positive. I would certainly return and recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality Turkish dining experience in London. Just be sure to ask about portion sizes if you have a bigger appetite!
Yesterday i went with my colleagues to this restaurant having 4.7 rating but ended up disappointed with the service and portion size of each dish. Before ordering we did check with the waitress if 3 starters for 6 is good enough to share and looking at what we ordered, she did confirm and when it finally arrived it was barely even 2-3 bites.
Mains took more than an hour to be served and even that was barely sufficient for any one of us.
I guess most of my colleagues ended up having a 2nd dinner post having a meal here.
Tapas de alta calidad - usted sería difícil de conseguir mejor. Muy sabroso. Servicio amable.
Realmente no podía fallarlo.
I have been using 129 HRD for a couple of seasons now . It is a great stopping point between Highbury and Islington Station and the Emirates Stadium . I have been there for both lunch and dinner and sometimes just for a quick drink after the game . The food is of a good standard and fairly priced - and they have a decent selection of wines . But the place is made by the service and the warm welcome by the manager and his team . Thank you !
