Visited with uni friends. We had a great feast, taken care of by GG and his family. The platter and sides were all very tasty 👌🏼. Will visit again, as it's only a stones throw away from King's Cross.

We were a large group eating on a busy Saturday evening, but the service and food were both great. We had two large family platters and this was plentiful for 16 of us. I would highly recommend this restaurant for good quality food at reasonable prices for London. The service was exceptional. We took a cake for a celebration and they were happy to cut and serve to us. Thank you for a great service!

I came to eat lunch with my partner where we ordered the Skewer Special for us to share, the service was quick and efficient. The food was beautiful, fresh and delicious, £50 and I can say it’s 100% worth It’s money with how much came in the platter and has now become my go to place if I’m craving Turkish food!

It was my first time here I have seen it Many times passing going to and work I’m so glad I went a tried it as tried many Turkish but this one was so nice I went for the family Meal and extra salad. The meal fed 5 adults easy and some left over I swapped my chips for rice which was nice touch. From start to finish the service was absolutely amazing the guys behind the counter Ali I’m sure I caught his name right at every stage of the making process asking me how Many adults to make sure he offered enough food and in the end more than enough some for lunch the next day. Overal they guys there were absolutely amazing and food fresh and nice I will be going back which is always a good Sign when the whole family all agreed it’s their monthly takeaway. I will Also pop In there for lunch as it was very nice indeed. Thanks guys I will be back very soon.

We're visiting London and after reading great reviews, we decided to try The Skewer and we're very happy that we did. We thoroughly enjoyed the Lamb and Chicken Skewers served with rice or with chips and a delicious side salad of cucumber, red onion, tomato and red cabbage. The generous skewers were seasoned and cooked to perfection. We were very pleased. It is a family-owned restaurant and is run with a lot of heart, soul and pride. GG will make you feel at home and could not have been more attentive. If I was lucky enough to live close by, I would be eating here all the time. Thank you for a great meal!

We went for a stroll and felt compelled to check it out. We were instantly SHOCKED and INSPIRED by the diverse menus, the very welcoming (and funny) staff who seemed to maintain a healthy workplace dynamic, with all there private jokes and interactions with other local residents and other restaurants goers. My falafels were perfectly round

Honestly the food and prices are not bad but they are not true to their words. On the weekend. I was gonna order chicken doner on rice and the large guy with buzz cut and long beard was just talking too much, trying to convince me to spend more. At last he said “I’ll make you a big plate for £13 brother” and on top of that he said “go get a drink also brother”. Ofc as anyone would have though, I thought the drink was included to the price. After the meal he charged me for drink too!! On top of that, when I asked for white rice, he kept sayin he got a “special rice” showing me basic bulgur (which was in a small container and seemed like left overs) and trying to make me go for it. Please don’t act like your customers are stupid, trying to charge more or acting like you got “special rice”. Even though I liked the place a lot, the guy just ruined it for me as he acted like a basic scammer in bazaar, talking too much and trying to force me to buy things calling them “special” and insisting on going large with every order.

The cuisine at Skewer restaurant is absolutely delightful. Every dish is bursting with flavor and is made with the freshest ingredients. The side salad is a perfect complement to the main meal, and it's just as outstandingly fresh as everything else. If you're looking for a fantastic dining experience, I highly suggest visiting Skewer restaurant.

The food is DELICIOUS! Made with love by a touching and amazing Turkish family who makes you feel home instantly. I can highly recommend the lentil soup, I have never had such a tasty and nourishing one! The Halloumi falafel wrap is also a full meal in itself! I will miss this place for sure! Today was my 2nd visit, with my first being in Autumn last year. Although it was not too busy with it being a Sunday evening, the atmosphere to sit down and eat is a pleasant one. The owners son remembered me from last time. It's little things like this and the free dips and pitta that make the visit. The food is great, and I cleared my plate. I'll definitely be going back when I am next in the area and recommend it to anyone, my colleagues or friends who are nearby.

Amazing Turkish fresh grill, perfectly seasoned. Generous serving of lentil soup, mildly spiced as tradition recommends. Average prices, friendly staff. Unfortunately bulgur rice was not ready yet when I visited at midday but there will be chance to try that next time.

This place has been here under new management and new name for 18 months (so I’m told). It’s so so much better than the previous place. Lovely staff, feels like a family run restaurant and boy do they work hard. Pretty busy when we came at the weekend but didn’t have to wait long for service. We had usual stuff : Iskender kebab, shish lamb, plus a delicious Kleftico and potatoes. They also serve char grilled sea bass & bream. They have a licence so we had Efes lager and reasonably priced wine. Try it, it’s a great local asset and doesn’t charge stupid prices for mediocrity which is commonplace today. Good luck to the management - you deserve success.

Really lovely informal Turkish restaurant. Down from Manchester for a few days, we were looking for somewhere to eat on the Caledonian Road on a rainy night in January. Looked through the window and saw good food being eaten by wise people. Went in and the owner and his son made us really welcome. The grilled chicken kebabs were delicious and the salads and sauces freshly made by the owner and his wife. Went back to our hotel with a portion of their home-made rice pudding, which - in all honesty - was the best ever!

The food really is as good as they say. Chicken wings were delightful, chicken skewers tender, the lamb chops and cubes dune just right. The meat plate came on a pile of rice with side of chips. Salad, pita bread and sauces perfect complements. Perfect meal for the family!

APPAULING QUALITY! I ordered a large mixed donor in pitta bread which i recieved just lamb donor, with chips and a halep kebab which on the menu states is minced meat and recieved the same lamb donor meat in a sauce. Called the restaurant and they sent someone with the right order. Lamb donor meat was dry and absolutely horrid. Very cheap quality. Chicken donor was dry and a sharp thin bone found while eating. Halep also bad quality, Small bone also found. We threw away. wont order again.

The Skewer my new favourite best Turkish Restaurant that reflects the Turkish culture in the most beautiful and delicious way. We had a lovely dinner with my colleagues and really enjoyed the delicious food for very reasonable prices, fresh home made sauces, food, salads wonderful breads and dips the meat is tender, juicy and perfectly cooked the quality of food is simply amazing. Such a good service, and warm atmosphere with attentive, helpful and wonderful staff. Will be back again soon with my family as well.

Everything is made fresh from scratch, excellent quality meat, the lamb shish is busting with flavour, flavours here are not overpowering as I've found in many places, including the sauces, they've got the flavours right here, plus there's a choice of pitta or wrap, their fresh made bread is a delicious bonus. Good size portions, good prices, exceptional customer service (as good as it gets), a family run business full of thoughtful, kind and attentive staff, who are happy to let us play our card games and relax, staff are superb.

This restautant is golden! The Lamb Beyti was great as it was so juicy and seasoned well. Personally, it was my favorite meat out of all of them. I do not typically like chicken but the chicken here tasted great and was exceptionally seasoned. The fries were satisfying too, and tasted good with or without salt (I had both). They were not too soft nor too hard. I wish they had more sauce options but when you have food this good, you really won't need anything else. We got take out, but when we stopped inside, the interior looked great, it had modern decor, nice lighting, and an open view. The only thing better than the food was the man that made it. Me and my sister had a warm conversation with him and he showed great hospitality. I'm glad the brunch joint we intended to eat at was closed because we hit a gold mine with the food here!

I ordered from here for the first time because the review seem to be good. However, worse food I’ve ever ordered. The salad was off the chilli sauce was off and rotten smelled very foul the food itself was smelled rotten and the contains were damaged so most of the food fell onto the plastic bag absolutely disgusting food never again
