Be very careful when you go to this kebab shop. The food is fine but they like to overcharge people. This is a popular late night spot frequented by drunk people. They take advantage of drunk people by having them tap their cards multiple times (and tell them that the first payment did not go through). If they are challenged, they give you the money back in cash but a lot of people clearly don't realise end up and paying double. Make sure they give you everything you order. They like to charge you for chips and then don't actually put them in the bag.

Food was ok but not good. Places looked very dirty. But the worst was service. My sister was trying to ask the guy for some sauce and he kept shouting “move forward”. You can tell that they must think everyone is drunk but we was not and we was spoken to as if we was getting free food not as if we was paying costumers.

Thanks to everyone who commented about the overcharge I was very cautious and wanted to see what the fuss wa about, wow do they overcharge? Yes they fu-king do! The food was so mediocre, but I can't imagine if I was drunk they would exploit that, avoid at all costs.

The lamb doner… my goodness. Secret is in the sauce. Meat is fantastic. Owner is super nice and and all around it’s amazing.

It's not as bad as others claim - it's a late night Kebab joint what do you expect 🤣 When you roll out of the Pub and need food, it's the only fast food joint open around Angel 👍 Kebabs are okay, I always choose the fresh cooked chicken fillets (rather than the Donner style Chicken) I've never had any issue with any Kebab I've bought here.

Warning ⚠️ Very Rude & Will Charge you Extra! I went in here on my way home from work tonight to bring home food to my Baba (dad) and Amca (uncle). The customer service was terrible. I ordered a Large Lamb Donner (£8), a Quarter Pounder (£4.50) and a portion of Chips (£2.50). They charged me £16.90 when it should have been £15. Their reasoning? I asked for salad and sauce seperate. When I asked for salad seperate he said it'll cost extra, I just looked at him, he said 50p, I said fine. But clearly £15 + 50p doesn't equal £16.90. So my guess is that they assumed I wouldn't do the maths myself. When I called him out for it, he said it's the same for every customer. So watch out because they are probably always adding extra costs without telling you. . I have never before been charged for asking for salad and sauce seperate in all my years of ordering kebab, and as a Turk, that's probably more often than your average non-Turkish person. Check your maths, or better yet, go to another kebab shop that won't treat you like dirt. Never going back.

WORST TAKEAWAY EVER I am 27 and have probably been to 100+ takeaways in my time, maybe more. I am talking chicken shops, not fancy takeaways like nandos. This is by far the worst takeaway I have ever had. I hadn't eaten all day and was drunk when I ordered. I wasn't expecting much, just big standard food for a decent price. It cost me £18 for a kebab, some wings and chips. It was the worst takeaway I had ever had. I couldn't finish it, which has never happened. I left it for the foxes, god willing they can finish it. I have never had such terrible food before, I wish I had never ordered. Starvation is a better choice. Pledo not go here.

Will not go here ever again. Meat was not freshly cut taken out the steamer thing to keep the pre-cooked meat warm rather pay a little bit more and go to German donna

For us it was good food and price

After a night out, I went to this kebab place and ordered a large lamb doner with fries. I didn't feel that the size was worth the price; the kebab looked more on the medium side and I felt that there wasn't enough chilli sauce. Apart from that, the kebab was nothing to write home about. There are probably better places in Islington to go for a kebab.

The food was so dry. You sent me the wrong sauce too. I asked for burger but you gave me mayo. The pita was hard like a rock. Worst kebab place ever

Good kebab selection of shish, donner, chicken, kofte. Sales is fresh, bossman is generally quick and they accept card. Slightly disappointed in the kebab bread they used but still pretty good. Falafel for the vegans and vegetarians are available, guy next to me in the shop approved.

Portions are excellent, the chilli sauce could be bottled and sold. The guy who runs it is spot on! You will not get a better chicken doner anywhere! All home made bar the elephant leg lamb doner!

The kebabs here are great, and the staff are really friendly. The only problem was that they didn't used to take cards... But they do now 😁

I did not like the chilly sauce

1am feed. Excellent grilled meat at an excellent price. I expected to pay more for what I got. Not often I'm in Angel but I might have to come more!

Good lamb doner kebab. Meat was nice, not greasy. Salad ok, 2 big chillies which was great. Pitta bread a bit dry. Would go back

Cheap and decent burgers and kebabs

A good place to go for a late night burger or kebab and chips. There is a small area to eat in and the guys are friendly who work there. I'd go again!

The staff are nice but the food is sub standard. Much better kebabs up the street at Kebab Empire.

Got there with some friends, and after seeing it was cash only, I decided not to get anything as I wasn’t really that hungry either. My friends got some bits and one said I could share her chips with her anyway. The man working there then said to me “princess, are you Jewish?” And taking this completely innocently, I said “I am actually, but that doesn’t mean I can’t eat!” To which he said “because you aren’t buying anything and eating your friends food”. I then realised he was essentially calling me stingy. I was shocked, as were my friends. We up and left mid-eating and I told him that what he just said to me was really rude and unacceptable. He said he was “joking”, but it’s not ok to make a racist or antisemitic remark and disguise it as “a joke” when you’re caught out. I know it’s not the biggest thing, but casual racism is a big issue and you can’t make these sorts of comments to people you don’t know. Needless to say, we won’t be going again.

Came here after a night of drinks. The food was perfect for a late night meal to soak up our beer. We had the burger, which was described as really good.. again, we had been drinking. And the mixed kabob which, I ordered. The mixed kabob came with different meats and i asked for the garlic said on top. Needless to say, I enjoyed my meal and felt satisfied. It's perfect drunk food.

RECOMMENDATION: Skip Overall their wraps just weren't good. I ordered the falafel and Donner kebab wrap. There wasn't much filling other than lettuce and tomatoes. The wraps also didn't come with any sauces.

Came here to buy some chips and maybe a soft drink. It was around 11:30pm, I was alone, wearing a dress with tights and flat shoes. To give some context I am blonde, 22 and a fashion model. The shop was empty bar two 30-something large middle eastern male workers behind the counter, and a third man, 50-something, stood on the floor. I assumed this man was a customer as he was wearing a flannel shirt, leaning on the counter and the kebab house workers were in chefs clothes. I placed my order as the 50-something repeatedly tried to interrupt me, heckling at me by repeatedly calling me 'Miss', asking if I "want the chicken, the chicken?" As I had assumed this man was a customer, I tried to ignore him but as he was in such close proximity I politely close mouth smiled at him and left the shop to have a cigarette, waiting for my food, not wanting to be in that creepy environment any longer. When my food was ready the 50-something screamed out to me "you want my special sauce?!" Trying to ignore the creep that was heckling me, I looked at the man behind the counter and simply asked for garlic mayo. It was then that all three men joined in with the sexist insults, they all started talking in middle eastern, they than began asking if I had no custom tonight, or no business and I definitely wouldn't have any after the sauce, insinuating I was a prostitute as a young white woman out alone. One of the men behind the counter called out that I mustn't have a boyfriend, or I mustn't respect or like him enough to not eat garlic. I felt really intimidated and I was actually quite frightened, it was then, thankfully, that my boyfriend had left the adjacent corner shop and had come over to see what was going on. He was both sad and angry at what had happened to me but I brushed it off as a usual occurrence in London and we took the high road and left. Later, walking past the shop I saw the flannel-shirt 50-something behind the counter so I can only assume he was the manager. This was a really disgusting way to treat a customer. I wished I had tried to get my money back but I was so dumbfounded by what I had heard, I just wanted to get my boyfriend and get out of there. Never eat here, the food was very standard at best, but to make a customer feel so intimidated and scared after taking their money is disgraceful.

My favourite Kebab shop in North London. A family run business that remembers regulars - I swear the portions get bigger with repeated custom. Best for Chicken Shis, with the Chicken Doner good as well. Home made chilli sauce is good, warm as it should be. The cabbage salad is great, marinated (in i think, oil, lemon and salt) to wilt slightly but but still leave it crunchy. At a pinch you can eat in, but at a stool up against a tiny counter. Better to take out to Islington Green. I only visit at lunch times, when the place is usually pretty busy. Ringing ahead will soon get you counted amongst the honoured regulars.

Good price, value for money and quite tasty burger I had, absolutely filling, and staff is very polite.

I always eat here when I am working at the BDC over the road. The father and son staff are really friendly, welcoming and efficient. It is probably the best Turkish takeaway I have ever had. The chicken kebab is great, the salad is fresh and tasty, the home made chilli sauce is excellent and not too hot. The shish kebab wrap is wonderful. The outside is ugly and unwelcoming but the food is great.

Kabab, what can you say, alright I guess

This used to be decent, but has become a bare-minimum-effort, serve-the-drunks kind of place that takes no pride in what it does. I went in here recently for old time's sake and the small chicken doner I had (for £5!) was literally the most tasteless kebab I've ever had in my life. Could have got an infinitely superior burrito at nearby Chipotle or Chilango for the same price. Glory days are long gone.

Very nice kebabs on the go you have to try their chilli sause it was actually pretty hot for me but still managed to eat it all.

The food is dry and tasteless (their burgers, kebabs, wraps and their chips), the prices aren't especially reasonable and the service has been rude every time I've been. Even for a drunken kebab at the end of the night, their worthless - they don't even stock burger sauce or a decent garlic sauce. They're almost always empty, I have no idea how they're still in business. Go to Kebab Empire just a minute's walk away - or German Doner a minute's walk the other way! Far far better!

I love kebab centre! We get all sorts of food from there and not just cos we're pissed on upper st. Phoned up today 2 quarter pounders with cheese and chips with salad. Walked the dog ten minutes later walked into the shop. They put the salad in boxed it up. Tenner. Done! Got home bloody lovely food. Nice one.

I do not usually write reviews, especially for a kebab shop. However last Saturday after visiting London for the weekend we found ourselves in the Kebab centre. Having been at a show, although late myself and friends had not been drinking like the rest of the clientele at that time. This turned out to be very beneficial. After all of us paid for our food, we were accused by the owner of not paying for our food. An argument started and ended with the owner threatening to prove we did not pay on CCTV. Being 100% sure that we had paid, the challenge was accepted. He turned the TV screen around for us and all other customers to see. He was making cocky rude remarks implying he was right. After a few minutes watching the CCTV it clearly showed us handing over our money and even worse shows that no change was given back to us. So not only had they accused us of not paying they had actually stolen from us. After a big cheer from ourselves and other customers to our success for being proven right! We asked for refund and an apology. The owner refused to do both. When my food finally arrived i saw him grab some random waste food off the counter and throw it into my kebab. What was he thinking? I challenged him and he said he would make me a new one. So after all this I finally got my food, we walked out of the shop only to open the takeaway box and find the food was swimming in chilli sauce. I like it hot but these guys clearly did this on purpose. All the above is 100% true, I can only imagine they try this on with a number off people. If you had been drinking the likelihood is you could not of noticed any of the above. Avoid at all costs!

Straight after paying one member of staff for our kebabs he told the owner we hadn't payed and accused us of trying to steal. We said we had and waited & watched the cctv with the owner to prove we were right (which we were). The accuser went on to serve my friends kebab and picked up bits of food from the counter and threw it in his kebab!! Eventually we got the owner to make him a new one. My food was cold as we'd waited and watched the cctv for about 15 minutes and I wasn't given my change back. Half decent kebab. But it cost me £10. Wouldn't go again if you paid me. Best of all none would apologise for accusing us of something we didn't do. Shocking staff

Average kebab, price are a kit expensive for a kebab...

Someone told me this is the best kebab around Angel, and it's pretty good if you take the chicken one. You might wanna avoid the lamb one. I won't say it's "outrageous" but yeah, it goes close to that.

This is my favourite kebab shop in London since 2008. Good quality kebabs and big portions are the main reason why I go to this place when I want to eat a good kebab! I recommend you to go at lunch time when yo can meet the owner, a lovely person which is always available for a chat and give you extra meat if you ask ;-) The shop is small and not really "luxurious", but when there's good weather you can buy a kebab and go to eat it at the park nearby.

You don't buy a donair, you rent one.

I love Kebab Centre and the nice men who work there. This has been my favourite kebab shop since I was a young boy coming home at 3 in the morning.
