Exceptional food , service , atmosphere, best Mediterranean/alacarte ive ever tried in UK

Nice place. Food was good. We had the burrata, delicious, hummus, some feta and spinach pastries, and some chicken. The highlight was the burrata. Service was friendly.

Good staff and great atmosphere, but not tasty food… at least for us

The lamb shish kofta was incredible 🤤 the spicy tomato sauce that came with it was amazing too! Everything was seasoned to perfection, I could have eaten it twice over. The staff were friendly and attentive. I only gave the atmosphere three stars as it was a little empty, although that didn't bother me. Would definitely come back here. It is a little on the pricey side (lamb kofta was around £25 I think, and it doesn't come with a side except the veggies) but it is London. I had a side of bulgar rice - love that this was an option so that I could have my wholegrains!

The nicest people I met in The City this week. I was surprised by how quiet it was for a Friday. Charming waitress made me feel comfortable. The food was fresh, tasty and light, perfect given the warm weather and arrived in quick time. Great value given the prices in this location.

Amazing dining experience. The ambiance was very relaxing and pleasant, and the food is beautifully presented with exquisite flavors. Special mention goes to Ipsita, whose attentive and warm service made our visit memorable. Her knowledgeable recommendations and prompt care truly stood out. Good location near Moorgate station. Nice restaurant. It was Monday so not busy at all. I had the Borek for starters. The pastry was too thick compared to ones I’ve had elsewhere. The main course of tiger prawn was expensive at £25 and we had to send the first one back as it was overcooked. The second one was fine and the prawn and the sauce was flavoursome. The side of potatoes was tasty and well seasoned. The salad had too much olive oil. The meal for two with two starters a main, two sides and cocktail (a delicious French martini which wasn’t on the menu), gin and tonic and a glass of wine and bottle of sparkling water all came to just over £100 so not bad price wise but not sure I’d visit again with so many other options in London. The starter menu also needs to be in black ink as it was very faint so hard to see in the lighting and without my glasses.

Table for 5, by the door; menus supplied; drinks ordered; London prices; meals ordered; rather pricey; beef lasagne had too much potato, top crust burnt, about 3 inches square, small portion; chicken and lamb shish fairly good, but lamb slightly under-done, that's restaurant cooking I suppose; cauliflower vegan, half a cauli; total of £220, rather expensive, especially for its quality.

Visited last weekend as a party of 19. The service was not great. I ordered a simple beverage of gin and juice and was told by the server "no that doesn't sound like it would taste nice" so had to call the manager over to get my drink ordered. We all ordered and paid for menu 2 which was the most expensive of the two and there wasn't enough of each starter for all of our party and when we asked for more we were also charged more. My main and dessert were actually really tasty and filling. The waitress was rude and very slow even though the restaurant wasn't busy. They only had enough for 10 crème brulé even though they knew they had two large parties dining that evening. Overall quite disappointed given its rating and previous reviews on Google.

It's a decent restaurant in a great location with decent food. Nothing oozes out. We were let down by the service and no fault of the staff as there were only 2 people covering for a busy dinner service of over 50 people including our table of 25.

I recently visited Haz Finsbury Park and had a mixed experience. The food was excellent, with a great variety of flavours and well-presented dishes that truly satisfied my palate. However, the service left much to be desired. The staff seemed inattentive and not very responsive to requests. Improving the service quality would significantly enhance the dining experience.

Went with friends on a Saturday night. Although the restaurant was very quiet (only us and one other table) the food was epic! Best swordfish I've had in a very long time. The lamb tagine, and lamb chops were also amazing.

Pretty poor experience eating here last night. Staff weren't very welcoming or friendly, one of the toilets was blocked and smelly, plus the food was just OK, especially when you consider the price. I'd heard good things before going but was disappointed. Maybe the other branches are better.

£23 for a small plate of chichen shish + little vegs, rice to be ordered on top. The bill comes with 20% service charge. I believe that this is too much, even for City standards!

Stor fin restaurant. Vi var 13 stk og vi vat neste. De eneste i restauranten. Det tok veldig lang tid å få maten på bordet, og når den endelig kom, klarte de ikke å få ut tilbehøret samtidig. Virket som de ikke prioriterte det. Mye kaos. Men maten var veldig god og smakfull.

Great service and great bar to pop into

Firstly I do want to mention our waitress and waiter for the evening were lovely. I cannot fault how hard they worked to ensure we had everything we wanted so I gladly paid my service charge. The lady knew what we needed and took care of us and the gentlemen's really tried to do the most. What I'm really upset and shocked over was the quality of food has gone down massively. Haz used to look impressive and now the food was lifeless with central prices. Before I'd vouch for Haz but this is my last time here. The starters were okay, the chilli sauces was a salsa, I know they have this style chili sauce in Turkish restaurants and that's fine but this was definitely on the thicker sides. But why was my hummus the tiniest portion served with baguette like bread and not Turkish flat bread?? My chicken shish was served with the most random vegetables like broccoli which you guys never used to. My baklawa was dry and I was told they cut down to 3 pieces from 4. My fresh mint tea only had 3 leaves in it. The meal came to £105 for 2 people?! Never coming back

Good food but expensive when your consider the slow service of staff... At lunch people are likely to have limited time and they think they should charge a service on top of their healthy prices.

It's a nice restaurant... Food isn't as good as the food at the at Paul's branch. Maybe it's because I went during the Christmas period. Can't fault the service. Would I go again? Probably not.

Myself and a few colleagues went to Haz in Finsbury Square for dinner and drinks after work. The venue itself is nice enough but unfortunately we had a bad experience with service and food. Regarding service, some people received their drinks while others didn't. My drink just didn't arrive and when I enquired they told me that they were out of stock of rose prosecco. I wonder who was going to let me know! Regarding food, I ordered an Octopus starter for £13 and the dish I received was ridiculous - I truly believe they cut one octopus tentacle into about five pieces and spread it across the plate. There were more olives than anything else - shamless. When I queried the dish with the waitress she told me she doesn't design the food and didn't offer an alternative or attempt to help, so I sent the dish back. The mains were quite nice but I was served with dirty cutlery and the waitress/ waiter did not clear the starter plates before serving the mains so the table was a mess. All in all, poor service and average food. We reluctantly paid the service charge however we would never return to this restaurant. Shame as I've been to other Haz restaurants and the experience has been very different.

Beautiful Turkish food. The lam chops were so delicious with lots of different spices. Beautiful decor including the stunning cocktail bar. The service was efficient and friendly. Will definitely return

Great venue for our (early in November) Christmas lunch. We opted for Party Menu 2 which offered the full range of starters followed by a choice of Main - all options very good. Pudding and coffee included too. Highly recommended.

Went on a saturday night at peak dinnertime and it was dead. Chicken was rubbery. Waiters were so stern, no smiles or welcomes. Felt very uncomfortable the whole meal. Not surprised it was quiet. Do not recommend. Need staff and food reviewed!!

First time I’ve dined in a Turkish cuisine restaurant on a Saturday night and the whole place was empty from the time we walked in to the time we left. The staff were slow at getting drinks sorted even though no other diners were in the building and were very unfriendly with answering questions about food options on the menus. Sides were separate including rice and salad. Be warned when dining that main meals on their own cost between £15 to over £20. I ordered lamb shish Kofte and at the time all came out looking okay but within and hour of leaving the venue, nausea and upset began. Ruined the night and ended the night bringing dinner back up. Definitely not a fun experience and disappointing for Turkish cuisine.

A return visit, again great service & amazing food. Would recommend the starters of Borek, Octopus, & Sucuk. The main course Iskender, Swordfish, Lamb Chops & Mixed Grill we’re outstanding - Kids loved the ice cream!! A real taste of Turkey!

Absolutely worst restaurant I’ve ever been to! We were a group of 30. 7pm reservations - everyone got their meal at different times last person just before 10pm!! Only to be told we all had to be out by 10.30! As for the food it came Luke warm or stone cold! The bread was rock hard and burnt! And the bulgur rice was stale! It smelt like a bin truck on a hot summer’s day which we told the waitress her response was “it smells like that because it has fresh lemon juice on it!”Since when does lemons smell like that! Dry fatty steak, dry fish, etc, etc, not one of us enjoyed our meal. When we asked why everything was taking so long we were told they only have a small grill! How the hell can such a large Turkish restaurant have such a small grill! Waste of time and money. As far as I’m concerned one star is too much.

Been here before. Quality and quantity of food are pretty good. As a group we chose the £45 set menu. So many dips and starters, so much bread, by the time the main course arrived we were practically full.. between us we had a variety of main course options and the general consensus was eveyone was more than content.. I opted for the lamb shank which was pretty big and pretty awesome. The service was attentive yet relaxed. Excellent lunch, glad I didn't pick up the bill though!

Super quiet at the weekends makes for a good quiet lunch. Staff were attentive but not hovering (so nice). The same great food seen during the week but at the weekend.

Lamb chops were great, very succulent, soft, the only thing is portion size is smaller than other places. Their chilli sauce is good and their marinade too.

Had the best experience going to this restaurant, service was brilliant the food was absolutely delicious the decor inside the restaurant was beautiful and the food was also very affordable and not too highly priced for Central London! Service was 10/10 Yagmui and I can’t remember the Indian waiters name but they were both amazing and was very attentive and helpful just wanted to say a massive thank you for making our experience wonderful!!

Great food and nice atmosphere for lunch or dinner

Firstly I asked the waiter if possible I could have lamb and chicken kofte. He suggested I had the mixed grill. But I told him I couldn’t eat the chilli salsa, and asked if I could have a diary free yogurt or vegan yogurt instead. He said yes don’t worry we can sort something out. My husband ordered Lamb kofte. We order rice and husband requested a flat bread. When the food arrived I was given the chilli salsa, no dairy free sauce. We had to ask for rice again and husband didn’t get flat bread. I asked another waiter about my yogurt sauce and he went and asked the chef. And said no alternative. The food was swimming in grease. I complained to the waiter about what we ordered and what we got and he tried to blame the chef. I told him it was he who took the order and told me to not worry they could get my request. Not the chef and it was him that lied and and didn’t tell me the sauce couldn’t be changed. Now I know why the place was empty Never going back

Excel.lent restaurant turc. Local elegant, estil una mica clàssic, però molt bé. Estovalles i tovallons de roba, ambientació com abans als restaurants de categoria. Molt bon servei. El menjar molt bé, mediterrani, amb una mica d'espècies, ben elaborat i racions molt abundants. I el pa estava molt bo, tou però cuit, cosa estranya en aquesta ciutat. Relació qualitat preu correcta per ser Londres. Hi vam anar un diumenge a sopar i ens va sorprendre que en tot el restaurant no hi havia ningú més que nosaltres menjant, una mica estrany, però un luxe. En aquesta zona el diumenge al vespre hi havia molt poc ambient i molts restaurants estaven tancats i algun d'obert a les 9 ja no servien menjar, en fí, t'has d'adaptar als ritmes i costums d'on vas, però tornat a la valoració d'HAZ hem de dir que és molt recomanable

Extremely delicious Turkish food. We loved the meat and veggie Moussaka and the Iskander. staff are very nice and personable. Open till 11 so very convenient when we got to town very late.

Two course set menu was massive! Tasty fresh salad and rich lamb tagine. The portion was very big.

We visited here on bank holiday Sunday and was concerned to see the place empty ... but don't be scared away this has got to be the best Turkish food we've ever had!! The starters we had the smoked salmon and beetroot dish to share which was perfectly light.. for mains two of us had the lamb shish and the other two chicken shish and they were cooked superbly .. we shared two bowls of bulger wheat between all of us which was more than enough. It looks beautiful inside too and I must say for London very reasonable! Would defo return next time we visit London!

Wonderful! We arrived having been rudely turned away from Cote, who gave us misinformation as to their opening hours (as they have done before), and finding a place to eat after a concert on a Sunday night near the Barbican is not easy! Happily, Haz came to the rescue and we had delicious small plates washed down with excellent Negronis, and beautifully looked after a very kind Uzbekistani server, who, along with the manager on duty, couldn't have been more gracious. They could have closed up for the night but agreed to let us eat late, and the entire experience was a very happy surprise: GO!

Pour commencer, j’ai été là-bas rien que pour le dessert Kazandibi! Svp retirer le du menu !! Je l’ai remis après une bouchée.. rien à voir avec le vrai dessert. C’était vraiment pas bon. Les entrées ça va standard. Le repas, spicy chicken.. pas piquant et pas bon.. Je suis déçu de ce restaurant

There are a-lot of negatives I can list here for the service as well as the food quality (Saturday night 15.04.23) but the worst for me was to witness the staff constantly bickering and yelling at each other (in Turkish) coming in and out the kitchen!!!! They made it very awkward and embarrassing to be chosen as a date night restaurant

I recently visited this restaurant and was really impressed with the interior. The staff were nice, but could have been more attentive. It was difficult to get a hold of them, the restaurant wasn't busy on a Tuesday evening. The food was really good - the hummus was delicious and you could tell it was homemade. I especially enjoyed the Yogurtlu kofte. One downside was that many of the doors didn't seem to work, so there appeared to be only one entrance. All in all, a good experience

I usually go to the Haz on Bishopsgate but wanted to try this branch. It more spacious and the atmosphere was great. Will definitely come here again.

Quite poor service by a waiter. We went there on Sunday night, it was almost empty. The waiter didn’t warn us that they’re closing at 10.30pm instead of 11.30pm as it says on the door and Google. So while were still eating our food he brought the bill, which was surpassing, unprofessional and a bit rude. I don’t think it was his intention, he rather came across as quite unsure of what he’s doing in his role… There was this strange discrepancy between a beautiful restaurant and ok good food (though the liver was too dry) vs. the service and atmosphere.

Excellent meal yesterday. Good prices, great food and wine. The lamb with aubergine cream was a highlight. The mezze is also amazing.

Disappointed with what should have been hot starters that arrived stone cold. They happily replaced the hot starters but then it just meant our mains came very quickly after. Starters were good once at the right temp. Mains were lovely except the cod loin which I heard was very dry.

Great food. The restaurant was surprisingly busy but the service was very good. Decent wines and the dessert was very nice.

Horrible experience with tasteless food. The portions are ridiculously tiny. Clearly they can’t afford their rent or their gas bill …

Attentive, and really good food and dessert

My first visit to this particular branch of Haz - same reliable middle eastern classics, fresh ingredients and friendly service. nothing spectacular but good food at a fair price point for this area. The venue is the smartest of the other Haz branches I've visited over the years.

Most of the food was lovely but the chicken in the Iskender was way over cooked. However they made up with the most amazing chocolate cake - without that it would have been a three star. Please fix the overcooked chicken.

Very lovely restaurent, food was great. Although it's a little pricey but was worth it. We forgot to order sides and ordered when our mains came in and was bought to us within minutes.

Just stopped off for a few drinks after work while in town. Didn't stop for food but regardless everyone was accommodating and friendly. Nice area around the bar, I didn't feel pressured to move on or eat like you do in some places.

We walked in by chance last Sunday evening. I know nothing of Turkish food but gave it a try. I was apprehensive, but there was no need to be. The food and service was to die for. The staff were very welcoming and gave us a lovely table. The chicken stir fry was delicious as was the penne pasta vegan dish. The Turkish tea was a lovely finish at the end.

I love Haz. Food choice is great and the plates are filled to the brim. My favourite is Lamb Tagines.

Very nice restaurant with amazing food

Went in with a large group pre-booked group with orders sent in before but unfortunately waited 45 mins for drinks and only because I stood up and asked, food did arrive a bit after that when people still didn't have drinks, not even table water. Food was tasty but experience wasn't as good as it could have been with the wait.

Great presentation of the meals. They have very friendly staff. And the place has an elegant ambiance. Overall, it is a great experience.

I can't thank Bat, Mirac & Mina enough for their service last Saturday. They were truly amazing and helped us out with no hesitation after we had an issue with a group booking at the hotel round the corner. We were about 30 and celebrating our friends engagement and needed a space for a surprise drinks. I walked in and explained the situation to Bat and he gave us their private dinning room with no delay. He even handed me his own speakers to play music and gave us the heads up that as there were only 3 of them working service may be slow for our large group (which it was not). In the end we had food and drink and the whole group had a lovely time. We can't thank the team enough as they really got us out of a sticky situation, the couple were so happy and their service was 5 star!!! Thanks so much! Elizabeth
