FIRIN at Kings Cross has a cozy atmosphere and looks promising for a quick bite, but solo diners may want to think twice before heading there. On multiple occasions, I’ve been told there were no available seats, even when there were visibly empty tables. The staff seem to prioritise seating larger groups, which is understandable during busy periods, but it leaves solo customers feeling overlooked. While I appreciate the staff’s efforts to manage seating efficiently, it would be nice if they could accommodate everyone fairly, regardless of group size. FIRIN might be a good spot for groups, but solo diners may want to consider other options.

I’m so thrilled to have found this gem in London! During our 10-day stay, we tried it once, and after that experience, we knew we had to return for our final meal. The food is absolutely delicious, and the staff are incredibly welcoming. It’s a place where both the atmosphere and the food come together to create a truly memorable dining experience. Highly recommended!

This address is a gem. The boss, the chef and the whole team are adorable. The cuisine is incredible. The dishes are more succulent than the others and do honor to this beautiful country that is Turkey. Forget kebab sandwiches here! Everything is homemade and prepared and cooked with love in an oven that enhances the flavors of the dishes offered. You will be spoiled for choice. Take several dishes. And...Come back the next day! It's my London favorite

These comedians charge £8.50 for a Lahmacun. Their Sarmas are **£7.50** for 4 skinny and tasteless little pieces! The quality of food is barely average, but their greed is tremendous. Portion sizes are small, despite us all having starters and a main each - two out of three of us went to Five guys straight after as we were still hungry! Save your money and go to proper Turkish restaurants in Dalston that offer much larger menus at MUCH more sensible prices.

It’s a good restaurant overall but nothing extraordinary. The menu was short and easy to navigate. The mezes were good on average but had high variability in my opinion. Tzatziki was pretty good. Babaganoush was great! Hummus and Dolma were mediocre in my opinion. The bread they served with mezes was good but did not leave a sense of being freshly made. The flatbread with cheese and cured meat was fine but nothing exceptional. The kebabs were just fine but again, nothing outstanding in my opinion. Prices were reasonable. The wine selection was very modest and not had Turkish wines, with e.g only one wine by glass. No regrets but next time I would try something else

Unfortunately very disappointing. Their grade on Google doesn’t make sense at all. I can say it’s not tasty like back home.. and the service was slow and disorganised and the prices quite expensive for the portions and the taste. The hummus and babaganous didn’t have much taste, and the main « specialty » dish (the lamb) was not seasoned enough and quite dry … the lahmacun was ok but with barely any meat (mostly dough). Overall, do not recommend it. Many better places in London to eat authentic Turkish food, especially for the price paid here! (Around 40 £ per person without any alcoholic drink 🤯)

A Culinary Delight: Firin, Where Tradition Meets Contemporary Turkish Pide As someone who appreciates the rich tapestry of flavours that Turkish cuisine has to offer, I recently had the pleasure of visiting Firin, a contemporary Turkish pide restaurant that left an indelible mark on my taste buds. From the moment I stepped foot inside, I knew I was in for a remarkable culinary journey, where tradition and innovation seamlessly intertwined. The name Firin, meaning "oven" in Turkish and ancient history "furun" as an Aramaic word for oven. Aramaic is an ancient Semitic language that has evolved over time and has different dialects. "furun" (ܦܘܪܘܢ), and has been evolved to latin word forno. In the context of Turkish cuisine and the name of the restauant Firin, "firin" (pronounced as "feer-een") is indeed the correct Turkish word for "oven." The word "firin" has its origins in the Turkish language and is commonly used to refer to traditional ovens used for baking bread, pastries, and pides in Turkish cuisine and also pays homage to the roots of Turkish cuisine, as the first oven (known as "furun") played a pivotal role in shaping the country's gastronomic heritage. And Firin lives up to its name, delivering a tantalizing array of pides baked to perfection in their traditional wood-fired ovens. The ambiance of Firin is a blend of modern elegance and a nod to the rustic charm of traditional Turkish eateries. The warm and inviting atmosphere immediately makes you feel at home, while the contemporary touches provide a sophisticated flair. Now, let's talk about the star of the show—the pides. Firin takes this classic Turkish dish to new heights, reimagining it with creative toppings and a commitment to using the finest ingredients. The menu offers a wide variety of options, ensuring there's something for every palate. Whether you're a meat lover, a vegetarian, or a fish enthusiast, Firin has you covered. During my visit, I had the pleasure of savoring the Black sea Pide, a delectable combination of 3 cheeses, and egg and lahmacun. The crust was perfectly crisp, with just the right amount of char, while the flavours danced harmoniously on my tongue. Each bite was a symphony of tastes, reminding me of the depth and complexity of Turkish cuisine. What sets Firin apart is their dedication to quality. The ingredients are sourced meticulously, ensuring the freshest and most authentic flavours. From the locally sourced produce to the carefully selected spices and cheeses, every element of their pides is thoughtfully curated to deliver a memorable dining experience. The staff at Firin are true culinary artisans, passionate about their craft and eager to share their knowledge. Their warmth and attentiveness elevated my dining experience, making me feel like an honored guest. They were more than happy to guide me through the menu, suggesting the perfect pairings and ensuring that my preferences were met with utmost care. To complement the exceptional pides, Firin also offers a carefully crafted selection of Turkish wines and traditional beverages. In conclusion, Firin is a contemporary Turkish pide restaurant that effortlessly marries tradition with innovation. From the moment you enter, you're transported to a world where the art of pide-making is celebrated with every bite. The flavours, the ambiance, and the attentive service combine to create an unforgettable dining experience. Whether you're a connoisseur of Turkish cuisine or simply seeking a memorable meal, Firin is a must-visit destination that will leave you craving for more.

Come here if you want to be ignored and feel unwelcome. I've queued up for at least 10 minutes trying to order food. The 2 staff serving didn't seem to be interested at all in answering some simple questions about the menu or respecting the queue. This is not an actual café. The name Cafe Fiori is very pretentious and misleading- this is just like a food van in terms of space and services. It's my 2nd time visiting the establishment and I've never managed to order food. I haven't heard : we will be with you shortly, sorry for the wait, etc. Shocking customer services
