The best restaurants in Eltham South Greenwich London

Normally really impressed with service and value in Wetherspoons pubs, however, this was an exception. We ordered 2 pizzas and waited over 30 minutes for our food to arrive (usually Wetherspoons are really quick). When it did arrive, it was plonked in front of us with only a knife each, I realise lots of people eat pizza with their hands (as do I on occasions) however, it was quite a sloppy one, so we asked if we could please have forks. The server rolled her eyes and said she’d she what she could do, but it would be at least 10 minutes. To bring 2 forks??! After 10 mins we asked another bartender, who was polite, but could only give us 1 fork to share, as the others were being washed! Good job I hadn’t ordered a full English with beans. At the end I commented to a third bartender that we had only had 1 fork, only to receive another eye roll and sarcastic “sorry”. The pizza and drinks tasted good and were good value.

No vivo en la zona, pero cuando tengo la oportunidad trato de hacer una visita. Personal agradable / educado y un pastel y puré extremadamente bueno. ¿Qué más se puede pedir?

Not great. Soulless, expensive, and starting to look like a tired 1980s disco break out area. Give it a miss and go and find somewhere with a real atmosphere.

Again this place knock out the higest chilie rated pile of mind bending crap. Hour later vomiting with chilli. Satay chicken chow mein x what's the f uuk in problem with them x so do so bad. Revolting sate sauce is not fire. Honestly this place is so bad x

I haven't visited this pub for years until recently. It's pretty historic. The decor was lovely - plenty of coloured glass and Tiffany-style lamps. The service was great. The toilets were clean.

A little hectic when busy but outstanding decor an vibes!

They have exceptional quality of good food and service. The garlic chilli chicken was cooked to perfection, so was the onion bhaji. 5 star all the way

Pizza always arrives hot and well made. The topping is plentiful and always tastes fresh. Delivery is always on time would recommend this restaurant

How this place has changed.. it used to be great value with good service. Now.. under cooked food,Pork!! I mean still cold in the middle, with no concern from the staff. Asked to remove from the bill, still added on.. got quite upset when challenged.. unbelievable wine prices.. this place needs a new owner or to be turned into flats!

Best katsu curry! I’m not a big fan of the dish in general but the one this place makes is my guilty pleasure- thin crunchy breaded chicken, perfectly done sticky rice and the most perfect sauce! Nice simple miso soup too! Orders always come on time, mostly even early! Too bad they have not been taking deliveries for a few week now?! I’m so gutted we can’t get our fav katsu curry!

Muy decepcionado de que nos cobraron extra por el café descafeinado. Al preguntar con el cajero sobre el pago nos dijo que era normal que se cobrara extra por el descafeinado y ella dijo que Costa Coffee hacen exactamente eso. Sin embargo he visitado Costa hoy que categóricamente NO cobran extra. La actitud del cajero dejaba mucho que desear.

I have heard some great things about this fish & chip shop but hadn't visited until last week, the guys are very friendly and what can I say about the fish - they are right - I have never seen a piece of Rock that big or fresh and it was the best I have ever eaten and I have eaten at many seaside places but this has to be the best, their chips are very good quality and you can eat in too, as I walked in I said "I hear your fish is the best?" Guys, yes it is the best, the man actually brought out a tray of fresh fish to show me just how fresh it is, I would highly recommend this place and I will be back for more Rock very soon! but I might try place this time? honestly amazing fresh fish and chips, we didn't eat in this time but I would another time!
