China Noodle Restaurant in Greenwich

Lovely little place in Eltham. Lovely food. Nice staff. We did the set menu B and liked the ribs on the starter platter enough that we ordered a full portion. I also ordered the chicken and sweetcorn soup, which it seems is obligatorily delivered to the customer in a boiling state, requiring a cooling off period. Once it had cooled however it was jolly nice. We were there on a Wednesday evening at around 8pm and it was empty. Parking in the immediate area is not the best, but we found a spot in the street on the opposite side of Eltham high Road which was no cost, or there's always the council car park that is free from 5:30 pm Total spend was £55.

A wonderful little hidden gem. May be I should not be telling you this. We are still going through the menu. See you soon.

As much as I wanted to love the restaurant something’s put us off. Ordered these ones: Singaporean vermicelli noodle Crispy beef Special fried rice The crispy beef was good it’s actually 4.5/5 it was crispy despite being coated with sweet chili sauce Here comes the odd part. There’s something with the fried rice and vermicelli noodles it has some odd rust taste on it. It feels like the wok that was used or the oil was sitting in very irony rusty taste even my toddler tasted “weird”. Scared to give it another try as the expectation was high from good reviews. And the receptionist/waiter/cashier wasn’t pleased to serve us. Didn’t felt welcome.

Very salty food when complained instead of accepting the fault arguied over the process of making food. Could have been a better experience

Vermicelli noodles- very oversalty! Fried rice- basic. All plastic boxes and spoons. Dated. Nowadays, updates required in order to thrive in community! Thank you

...food was mostly good and cheap but there were a few issues: 1) chilli chicken wings seemed a bit raw/pink inside - so most of it went to waste, 2) the waitress couldn't swap out items in the mixed hors d'oeuvres - just told us to order from seperate menu items, 3) even though we ordered starters and mains, all food came out in different order and the starters came out last, 4) plain rice came out 5-10 minutes before the mains we ordered the rice for - so got a bit cold sitting under the ac, 5) cash only - which in today's world seems a bit backwards unless you're trying to avoid tax

The best ever always hot and lovely and so cheap. Always friendly never had better service. If you’re never been go you would not be disappointed

Nice little place went there with my son for dinner. Not bad one bit. Food was fresh. Welcomed as you walked in the bill was very fair can’t go wrong

Very dated decor inside, food was average at best with small portion sizes. Drinks flat. Service not particularly great, with a long wait for main courses. Used to be a nice restaurant years ago and felt more authentic. Shame.

Food was very tasty and was served quickly. Service was great and not pressured. I had the Singapore Noodles, chilli beef and a Budweiser and it came to just under £15.00. I will be going there again.

Best Chinese in Eltham, you cant get anymore authentic than this place, the decor takes me back to the 80’s, the food is very good and the price you pay is cheap compare to other restaurants i go to! See you on Friday😅

Food has gotten better over the years

revised an old favourite after 5years.. Think it's been taken over. looked much fresher with new rambles and chairs. There is an extensive menu but waitress unable to understand when I asked her for an adjustment to the chow mein. Good sized portion. Sauce which came with it a bit sweet for me. Probably being a bit picky though. It was good value.

Well what a find. Down a wee side street of the main high street. I had mixed sea food vermicelli at just 7.60. Good size portion and delicious too. Mixed sea food of prawns, mussles, squid, sauce was creamy and noodles perfectly cooked. Tsingtao Beer £3.80 . Will definitely return and the constant ringing of telephone orders locals must love the delivery service too. Highly recommended.

I collected a takeaway for 5 people and all the food was, as usual, excellent!

Been coming here since I was a kid. I'm now in my 30s. Still love to have dinner here when I come back home to visit. Wonderful food and lovely place!

Lovely fresh takeaways always delicious food would highly recommend China Noodle. Delivery is always quick too and friendly. Good value for money.

This is the place we have always ordered from for years, I've seen complaints recently regarding food, but we never have an issue! They do get busy so delivery is long at weekends!

Best Chinese in Eltham reasonable prices quick service

I've been here a few times when we've just wanted a cheap meal at a local price , nothing fancy here but if you like noodles at a fair price you won't be disappointed

Overall okay. Had to make another table. Decent staff. Food average. Poor accessibility for disabled customers.

There are few Chinese take a ways in our area and we found china noodle and we werepleased as the food is very good however the service is utterly rubbish. We only ever order take out and it is with out fail late. Twice they have forgotten our orders and I’ve had to ring. Again this evening I’ve waited 1hr and a half and it’s still not arrived. They really need to get their act together. It’s because there are very few take outs to chose from but this service is shoddy and fir the price not good enough. I think I’ll just stop using them.

Took 40 minutes for starters to come out and 1 hour 30 minutes for mains. Whenever I asked where food was I was told ‘they’re too busy’ and on the fifth time of asking ‘I thought you had it’. Food is good but probably the worst service I’ve ever had in a Chinese. Won’t be coming back that’s for sure. Overpriced and under staffed.

Ordered a delivery this evening. Food was absolutely gorgeous as it is when eating in restaurant. Great value and enough for 3 of us.

Smoked shredded chicken. More like Burnt where is the chicken and where Is any flavour. Extremely disappointed. Surprised how they could serve up and expect one to pay for this trash. Sadly was a takeaway order and never realised until got home. Straight in the bin.

Lovely little restaurant with fantastic food. A real find. It should be much more popular but most orders are take away.

A little gem. Great value for dining in. Most dishes are under £8. I recommend this place.

This is a great Chinese restaurant just off the High Street. Very clean, friendly staff, great food and service. Very reasonable price. Well worth a visit.

Went with a friend. Food was basic. Really basic, I've had better. Service was absolutely terrible. Lady was kind when showing us our table, took our order quite quick. We waited about 20mins for our food. Kids were missing their rice for 10mins, then our drinks another 10mins after that. Then another 5mins for prawn crackers. Phone was ringing constantly no one bothering to pick it up. Too busy talking to friends. Was honestly terrible. I won't be going back. Sorry. Wasn't worth £60. Very disappointing.

Been going here since I can remember and the food has always been outstanding!! Mom would always take us for birthdays, and with her in hospital it’s been tough, but with home delivery as an option it means we can get her favourite meal ordered to us to bring to her, so she can enjoy a taste of home ☺️

Went yesterday for a last minute meal. Whilst decor is a little tired inside, most of the food was good. Chicken satay, peking duck and sweet and sour chicken balls were great. Beef Ho Fun, I thought was maybe a bit friend onion/beansprout heavy and the pork soft noodle which was meant to be dry/fried was quite wet/a little flavourless. But overall, quite good. Still a surprise when venues are cash only, though! Be prepared!

Out of the chinese in an of the way setting. I love these no thrills finds. The food is hot, fast, plentiful and reasonably priced. Service was very good.

How is this place still open? I went twice only to see if the service was that bad! The staff sat looking at us constantly and at one point were so close, we suggested pulling up a chair for her to join us! The food was nice but it's a very odd one if you ask me.

I went to China noodle last night with myself, husband and 4 children. Our youngest being a 1 year old who needs a high chair, so when we was seated after squeezing down a narrow gap to our table I asked for a high chair whilst wondering where it would go. The lady brings a chair over that straps onto the chairs that they have there and leaves. I sit my son in the seat go to clip him in and there are no clips they have completely broken off and can tell they have been this way for a long time due to the amount of fraying. I called the lady back over and asked for another chair she unclips this one walks back to the shelf to get the only other one they have to coke back and say they are both like this no straps but you can sit your child on it. I think not a one year old on a slippery plastic seat at a table with no straps is an accident waiting to happen. So we decided to leave as we found this very unprofessional and a health and safety hazard. So anyone with young children needing a high chair either bring your own or avoid looking like idiots having to get up and walk out.

Absolutely amazing place. The food is delicious and authentic. Very generous portions as well. The lady taking care of the orders is lovely. And very patient with kids. My only regret is to have lived nearby for 6years before finally trying it. And now we can't get enough of it! Our Chinese and Malaysian friends really rate it high too. They are also very fast for the deliveries and still the same quality as with dining in. Our favourites : dumplings, beef hofun noodles, sweet and sour pork, salt and pepper squid, tofu in black bean sauce, aubergine in black bean sauce. And all the fritters for dessert!!

I have been visit two times this restaurant within 2 week food was good but services very poor no friendly so I can’t recommend anyone.

About the 4th time that me and my wife have been here now, this place is a right hidden gem.

Very poor service!!! The food was ok and the price was reasonable but the customer service was EXTREMELY poor. The shocking part was after the meal I asked for the bill and all they gave was a small piece of paper written with the total amount, not a printed receipt. This was a cash only restaurant by the way so make sure you have enough cash in your pocket! Plus, they said their bank account is only used to pay their bills, not for the customer to pay! This is totally unacceptable as the customer has the right to receive their bills.

I’ve had this Chinese all my life this is seriously the best Chinese food around and I’ve tried a lot of different Chinese restaurants.

Excellent freshly cooked food but check waitres reads back your order! Twice recently we got something different.

I went with my family as my wedding day and my wife likes Chinese food. The service was absolutely bonkers. Only one lady serving, taking orders over phone, cleaning tables, and taking cash. She is not washing hands, very poor in hygiene. Food was not tasty, not worth for the price she charged. I would never recommend anyone to this restaurant.

Tables were still dirty from the night before. Chairs have massive rips in them! Food was luke warm at best. No flavour, noodles were dry and crunchy! The rice was bland. The meat was questionable! Left most of it and begrudged paying for it but didn’t want the argument that would’ve followed had I not! Myself and my daughter both ended up with stomach aches and it left her feeling very queasy, I used to love going here but that was my last visit which is a shame because the food has always been so nice and decent portions! We seemed to have been served the left overs from the night before!

Beautiful meal of spring rolls and ribs as a starter, and King Prawn chow mein for a main. Does not get any better especially when washed down with a cold beer.

For the price you really cant complain at all. Ricks recommendation is getting their special spring rolls for sure, you will want a few more if you're sharing with more than 2 of you. The rice isn't bad but nothing to write home about and their curry sauce is what you want if you fancy a chinese curry. Go for the roast pork as well, its usually pretty decent. If you're also looking for a random dish you havent tried, give the chicken/pork in gravy a go. I used to smash that on a hangover all the time and well, I was absolutely dying and it didn't really help at all but it did fill the stomach and went down fine.

Their China Noodle spring rolls are some of the best I've ever tasted in London.

This used to be the best kept secret in Eltham but unfortunately it has gone down hill massively. The last 2 orders have been delivered incorrectly and tonight they tried to blame us for just ordering a sauce and rice. Attitude sucks so it’s time to find a new place which is a shame as we have been ordering from here the past 10 years. Bad service /attitude and no customer loyalty = loss of trade

We had this delivered during lockdown and it was delicious! The best satay chicken we’ve ever eaten and would highly highly recommend the veggie spring rolls. Much better in compared to other chinese’s we’ve had in Eltham! 10/10

Food was tasty but had no resemblance to photos.

noodle soup with beef is not very tasty. just hot water with slices of beef and instant noodles is still added in large pieces of onions. and the menu on the photo looks completely different. the staff does not have special clothes, they cook and bring food in outer clothing.

Asked for egg noodle, but I got given instant noodle ramen... I'm asian, I know the difference! Food tasted fine but definitely feel a bit cheated! Place also has only forks laid out no chopsticks or spoons... How interesting...
