Jamie's Italian in Greenwich

It's nice inside. The food is ok. Pretty much what you'd expect from a big chain. A good place for families with a nice conservatory out back. If you're looking for a nice place to go in Greenwich you could find better.

Tried to book a table for eight for mother's day but was told we couldn't as it was walk-in only. When we arrived it was quiet, not too many diners. It turned out Mother's day was their last day of trading so there was only a set menu available. The seafood pasta was enjoyed by some, the chicken was ok but vegetables cold. Some options were not available and there wasn't a viable alternative to your first choice (you basically choose something else from the fixed menu). Our waiter, Dean, did his best to accommodate us but the evening felt rather 'unspecial'. Overall, not the best and not somewhere I would recommend.

Quiet for a Saturday evening but perhaps the inclement weather had put people off going out. Friendly, helpful and prompt service from Dean

Mi hija y su novio me regaló una comida "especial" a Jamie's en Nelson Road Greenwich, después de un largo viaje en tren nos acompañaron por una chica a la parte trasera del restaurante. Pedimos desde el menú. Antes de la comida llegó yo tristemente notamos el 3 tenedores en el reciclado de estaño estaban muy sucias con secos en la comida. Este amablemente de una secuencia. Mi hija tenía la trufa que ella disfrutó tagliatelle, mi hijo tenía el futuro en ley sopa de calabaza que él declaró deliciosa y tuve el peces y calamares "tiny" demasiado salada en pasta, el pescado estaba bien, pero los tentáculos eran prácticamente inexistentes. Teníamos apenas tenía dos bocados de comida cuando las camareras trajeron los platos principales de la mesa. Yo amablemente señaló que ni siquiera estábamos a mitad de camino a través de las entradas así que se tomaron las placas. Los aperitivos estaban acabadas y las placas de retirada. Los platos principales fueron devueltos. Mi hija tenía el gnocchi que estaba bien caliente y ambos teníamos la "carne" con delgado nuevamente saladísimos patatas fritas. Mi plato estaba fría de piedra y la carne" era "tan duras como las botas viejas. No pude terminar la mía, que no se podía cortar incluso si nos dieron cuchillos para la carne que no eran. Se colocó un montón de rocket floja en el lado de la placa. Esto era realmente una experiencia decepcionante. 8 libras. 40 para una copa de vino tinto lustre falta.

I came to London to visit my cousin and came for dinner to Jamie's Italian Greenwich. The restaurant itself is beautiful, nice ambience, with candles and everything. Our lovely table was next to the open kitchen. Our server (sorry, didn't catch the name) was fantastic. Polite and funny, but not intrusive. Drinks came quickly and so did our food. I ordered octopus ravioli and my cousin had the prawn linguine.The food was amazing and so was the service! I am glad we choose to come to this restaurant as we really enjoyed our night!

Au rez-de-chaussée, service de pizzas excellentes. Au 1er étage une carte plus variée avec des propositions intéressantes. Le service est impeccable et le personnel est très souriant.

Bij binnenkomst redelijke wachttijd alhoewel niet druk en divers personeel niet echt bezig lijkt. Bediening vriendelijk. De pasta was helaas veel te zout. Dit hebben we aangegeven maar daar werd verder niets mee gedaan. Het dessert (Tiramisu) smaakte maar naar 1 ding: Orange zest. De tiramisu rook en smaakte alleen naar sinaasappel. En dat was niet lekker. Hier werd wel een vervangend toetje aangeboden door de vriendelijke ober. Qua sfeer en netheid ook slechts gemiddeld. Helaas...

Popped in for a bite to eat after the afternoon cinema about 6:30pm. The restaurant was about a third full and we were offered a choice of where to sit. We only ordered a main course as we were not too hungry and both chose the Pork Milanese. It was served within about 15/20 minutes and was very attractively presented with a lightly fried egg on top garnished with shredded rocket and a separate small dish of a delicious Fontana cheese dip/sauce. I had an additional side plate of dressed rocket & radicchio salad, my husband added plain double cooked chips. To drink we ordered a large carafe of House White wine, which was crisp, dry and well chilled, and a carafe of ‘tap’ water.

Food was good but long wait when we were practically the only customers, staff a bit lacklutre and the restaurant was cold as mentioned by other customers with a response of "its london im afraid"

As a Greenwich local I have always felt let down by this place, yet kept giving it another try just to leave frustrated again at the simple things that they unforgivably got wrong. However this time round I am pleased to say our visit was seamless! Friendly staff on the door greeted us, took our order efficiently, delivered the food with a smile, brought the bill quickly etc... great service! Food was delicious, we all polished our plates, drinks were good, water topped up. The atmosphere was also great and the place was really busy. Management of Jamies Greenwich, keep this going and we will be back to see you much more frequently, as we only live around the corner!!

This is a worth restaurant experience as the food is interesting and taste good; also, the waiters are friendly and Jamie Oliver kind of Characters.

After having visited Jamie's Italian near London Bridge, with great succes Summer 2017, I went to the Greenwich branch with high expectations. The salmon starter was delicious, the spicy chicken mains was a bit bland and on the dry side. The dessert (Molten Choc Praline Pudding) was super but the Tiramisù Martini lacked something (liquor?) that definitely was there at my visit at the London Bridge Branch.

On Sunday the 7th January I came here to celebrate my 10 week old granddaughter’s Christening. We were a family group of 10. I had bought a christening cake with me which I delivered to the restaurant in advance. When I arrived to deliver the cake I was met by Dean who informed me that he would be taking care of our table during our lunch. He was extremely helpful and asked how I would like the cake displayed and assured me all would be ready when we arrived.

Fuimos sin reserva, una camarera muy amable nos encontró una mesa! La pizza era muy sabroso, la masa estaba delicioso. Por desgracia el gnocchi no era tan buena. La salsa era mínima, el gnocchi era bastante pesado. La orden parte de patatas fritas eran simples seres que podías cocinar y comprar en un supermercado, no impresionó en £4 por un recipiente pequeño. El servicio era fantástico, amable.

Otra excelente comida y servicio en Jamie's, Greenwich. Intentamos ir al menos una vez al mes, y nunca nos ha decepcionado!

A family party of 10 went to Jamie’s in Greenwich today, to celebrate an 80th Birthday. As a family this is our restaurant of choice and we have celebrated other birthdays there. We find the staff very friendly and attentive. Today Dean looked after us, what a nice chap! He was very patient with us and even provided tea lights for our birthday cake as I had no candles, very thoughtful. The food was lovely, the service great. Thanks Dean.

Had a lovely meal here tonight. The food was delicious and our waiter Dean very attentive. The atmosphere was warm and cosy which was needed coming in from the cold night. Will definitely come back.

Teníamos nuestro almuerzo familiar aquí en la víspera de Navidad. La comida era deliciosa, especialmente las patatas fritas de polenta que son nuestros favoritos! Yvonne, que nos sirve, era muy amable y eficiente. Oí una conversación entre el director y posiblemente aprendiz que no era de preocuparse si ella hizo un error, ya que era cómo aprendemos. Check my review history and you will see I am not one to post ‘these’ reviews, but unfortunately I feel obliged to share this.We thought it would be nice to head out as a family for Christmas Eve. My partner’s sister is dairy/gluten free for health reasons and had researched online that Jamie’s Italian was the place to go. It’s tough for her to find somewhere for a social meal so expectations were high.Apparently the olive starter is gluten free, but the fact it served with ‘magic bread’ (or something like that) says to me it’s not. Waiter said we should just avoid that bit and voila it’s gluten free. Prawn linguine also gluten free, oh but only if you have it with penne? Anyway we got passed the ordering bit after having to call someone to come take our orders for both food and drinks at the same time.Then we wait and wait and the starters appear. No drinks yet. Then drinks arrive (but not all). After chasing up the remaining drinks we finish starters. And then we wait and wait (for about an hour) and we call someone over (no one had come to check on us) to check where our meals are and to take more drinks. We’re told our meals will be brought out as soon as they are ready. That was not true. It was obvious that when our meals did arrive they’d sat unserved for some time. Had to send three of the five dishes back. The ragu rabbit was dried out and the gluten free penne was lukewarm. Now the manager got involved (which was welcomed as our waiter until now had not been great). Told they would re make those dishes so we waited and waited (about half hour longer) two served, waited another ten mins for the third.Anyway you get the picture. Let me be transparent, the manager was very apologetic and took the plates in question off the bill, gave us free bread and a bottle of Prosecco. Thank you to him for that. Clearly a frustrating evening for him. His team was not up to scratch. Poor service, poor meals served. Not what you’d expect from a Jamie Oliver brand.

What a pleasant experience. 3 close friends and myself were served by the very knowledgable waiter Dean. Following his recommendation of the Fish Stew which I thoroughly enjoyed. He gave us all the attention and more to ensure our experience was one to remember. We will definitely be back.Jamie’s comes highly recommended.

Visited London for xmas. Decided to book a restaurant at Jamie’s as a treat. I’ve always liked to watch Jamie’s cooking programs and thought it be somewhere nice to go. On arrival visited the toilets but to be honest they weren’t nice, and ready for a clean. They were downstairs underneath the restaurant. Not a gd start but that aside was looking forward to the food. Once we got seated with our menus it seemed to be a long time before anyone came to the table to take our drink order never mind food choices. I eventually caught someone’s attention. He sent another waiter over that asked what we wanted to eat. I asked to see the gluten free menu as it was advertised online but I couldn’t see gluten free as an option on the menu in the restaurant. The website offered bread an olives as an option as gluten free for starter. To the waiters knowledge the only thing was olives no bread and he said they could change the mains pasta dish for gluten free pasta. No other options offered. Feeling a little disappointed I had no choice but to go with this. When the starters arrived I was hungry and had some olives only. I did notice we didn’t get any side plates or no where to put the seeds from the olives. Still no drinks or water at this point either.We had to call a waiter over again to sort this for us, one of the wines was out of stock too. When the food eventually arrived 2 of the dishes were cold and mine had to be sent back as wasn’t what I’d ordered. 2 of our party had to start eating while 3 dishes got sent back. One waiter then brought us dessert menus we said we hadn’t had our mains yet. The manager knew we were waiting and already complained so he brought us some prosecco and bread. This was nice but I just wanted our food. The bread I couldn’t eat and had already told the previous waiter I was gluten free. 2 dishes came back but still one missing. They started to eat theirs. By this point I’m hungry as already not had an option of starter. By the time my food had arrived 4 people had finished eating. I sent it back as I was the only one not to eat and none of us had eaten at the same time. Was so disappointed with the restaurant. Not only with the food but with basic service and communication skills. The only time the staff actually came to us was when we had to get their attention and call them over. Wouldn’t recommend going here and such a shame to have left the restaurant with no food on xmas eve. I understand it was a busy nite but surely u would have organised enough staff to cover the restaurant. When we first called to book they even told us we didn’t need to. I know the main man Jamie doesn’t work at the restaurant but such a shame to brand the restaurant with a top chefs name when it doesn’t live up to basic expectations of a restaurant.

We had our work Christmas outing here. We were a very small group and the waitress was very attentive. We ordered from the festive menu and if you ask, they have a vegetarian version and many of the options can be veganised. The food was really good and so was the prosecco.

The worst italian restaurant I've ever been to ! Sick for the third day now because of an infection due to the food there.. thank you for the travel not to Italy but to the toilet

We went here yesterday, and service and food were ok, but a little bit off. Example no. 1: we were seated in the middle of a busy aisle when other more desirable tables were left vacant throughout the meal. We were moved at our request. When I came to order, my common dietary request was dealt with uncommon fuss. A comparison with Pizza Express would be unfavourable here. The starter was delicious. There was a wait, then the main course arrived -warm rather than hot- and had been sitting under a lamp by the looks of the parmesan cheese which had melted and slightly dried. The Bolognese lacked depth of flavour, and while acceptable, didn't have the warming meatiness you'd expect. My girlfriend had the same complaint with her seafood pasta ( crab linguine I think), it felt like every gram of meat had been counted and not a scrap extra was used. I looked in vain for a spoon during the meal- service was not inattentive, just busy elsewhere. The toilets are a long way away from where we sat- it's a huge restaurant- and I helped one lady find the loo amongst the many confusing doors down there. Another wait for the bill. For what we got and how we got it, quite expensive.

We were amazed on entering how busy it was. We have been to many Jamie's throughout the country and we go back because we know what to expect. I had a gold card and we all received a glass of prosecco and small mince tart each. For main courses we had lasagne, meatballs. I was disappointed in my lasagne, I felt there wasn't much meat in the lasagne. It seemed to be more tomatoes. I think Jamie would have been surprised at this dish. Couldn't fault the service. Coffee delicious too.

I came in for a quick dinner with my boyfriend. We were served by the charming waiter Dean. We followed his recommendations, and were not disappointed. The prawn linguine was sublime!!! We will be back:) thanks to Dean.

We've been regulars here for a few years. Family of 4 with 2 young girls(now 8 & 6) and the food is consistently good and service is always exceptional. I'm prompted to write this time to say a quick 'thank you' to Dean who served us at the weekend and made a very special effort to make us more welcome than we usually are. Dean's served us on and off since we started going there and have not been in for a while were made to feel like old friends when we turned up. He's a pure professional and exercised good humoured patience with our little darling's fickle needs and offered great advice on our eventual choice of (fab) food.Good on you mate....no doubt see you again soon.

Popped in for lunch during our regular trip to Greenwich Market. First time we've eaten at this Jamie's Italian, though we've visited his Canary Wharf restaurant a few times. Greeted and seated by Dean, we sat in the spacious and airy extension at the rear of the place. Enjoyed a really nice lunch and drinks, the meals arrived very quickly and were nice and hot, on what was a freezing cold afternoon. Dean was very friendly and happy to chat with us, he certainly made us feel very welcome. Very relaxing lunch and the food was tasty, all in all a most dining pleasant experience. We'll be back and thanks Dean, you're a real credit to Jamie's!

James D made sure to give us a brilliant experience tonight with his South African charm. 5/5 service. Made a great start to the Christmas season with a fun Christmas menu complete with a glass of prosseco. Staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive. Venue was softly lit & romantic. Fairly quiet. We enjoyed it and would recommend.

My mum and I have been coming here since it opened and it’s mostly down to the great service from the waiters, particularly Dean! Always so lovely and attentive. A real asset to the company. Also the Italian nachos are amazing, you must try them if you haven’t already

Good food as usual and generous portions. My husband had the special which he normally does and thoroughly e noted it. I had the Bolognese and my o ly criticism was that, for me, there was too much tagliatelle!We both had starters as well; both were very good (meatballs and pate). The pate was lovely and smooth.We shared a dessert of panacotta with cherries which was heavenly- even my husband enjoyed it and he doesn't normally do "sweet".All rounded off with wine and a speciality coffee each.Negatives- as members of Jamie's gold club we were meant to receive an amuse Bouche of (I think) prosciutto but the waitress failed to bring this and did not seem to be fully aware of gold club memberships (we did request the house wine which we were due).A lot if the dishes were not available on the menu (approximately half of the pasta mains and one third of starters) which I felt was poor. Luckily the majority of these were shell fish based and we are allergic, altough not all. One of the starters of mushrooms was not available which I would have liked.This will not stop us returning as out of 4 visits over the past six months this is the only negative one. Just a shame it was for my birthday.

Despite having not booked over a busy Sunday lunch period, we were offered a seat at the bar and had a drink while we waited 25 mins to be seated (which was exactly how long they had told us we would wait). So, we know the food at Jamie’s is always very good and it didn’t disappoint this visit but we wanted to highlight the really excellent service by Charlotte our waitress...My daughter really wanted the Carbonara which is no longer on the winter menu but we thought we’d ask anyway. Charlotte went straight to the kitchen and without hesitation, the Chef agreed. I have to say that when I tried it I could completely understand why my daughter is such a fan....it’s amazing!All round the food and service were great and we’ll definitely visit again and well done and thanks to Charlotte for going the extra mile to make sure we had a really enjoyable lunch!We’ll definitely visit again!

My partner and I had a lovely meal at Jamies in Greenwich last weekend. With my Jamies Gold Card we received a free bottle of wine with our meal. (the member offer for November) The food was tasty and our waiter Dean was friendly and attentive. We always have a good time at Jamies in Greenwich whether just the two of us, with our family or with friends.

Had a lovely meal family and friends -Dean our waiter was extremely attentive and our drinks and meals were delivered promptly. The food was lovely sharing platters to start and a variety of dish mains. Thanks to the lovely staff. We shall return soon

Visited here for s family celebration. Good tasty food, good service and nice surroundings I had the tagliatelle bolognese - the sauce was the tops! Will go there if we visit back in the area

My wife, our baby son, and I visited Jamie's Greenwich for a late lunch on Thursday 2nd November. Our son is only 6 months old so is not eating solids yet but I had a meat pizza and my wife had mussels to start then a pasta dish for her main. My pizza was delicious and my wife said the food was also ok. It wasn't until a few hours later that she started to get pains in her stomach which then led on to constant vomiting and not being able to get off the toilet all night with severe food poisoning. She only had a bowl of porridge in the morning and this was the next meal she ate. When she phoned them it kept going to a voicemail so she left a message informing the manager to call her back and they never even bothered. I am furious but not only that this could have been a child so I had to write this review. Environmental health needs to visit this branch of Jamie's asap!

Very huge and noisy. The chef should have been ill-tempered. The food was so spicy that it was impossible to swallow. All the pasta are precooked and re-heated.Go your way and choose an authentic Italian restaurant.

Five of us arrived at about 3pm on a Sunday, the place was quiet and about half empty…and yet we were asked to wait for 15 minutes while they prepared a table. This consisted of pushing two tables together and hoping 5 would sit in a space for 4. We grabbed a chair and “made do” as the five-seater circular table (empty) was clearly not on offer. We had two of the seafood specials which were delicious. We had two of the tagliatelle -again great. but the one oxtail lasagne arrived half size, no sauce, dry and burned…and covered in rocket to hide the worst of it. When we questioned this, there was an immediate apology, a replacement that was twice the size and much improved. (We would not however recommend this particular dish in any event as it seems to come on the dry/overcooked side as standard.) The manager took the cost of this dish off our bill…but shame on the kitchen for serving it in that condition in the first place, a quality control failure. The staff were helpful and friendly, if clueless on seating people in appropriate spaces. Jamie’s is usually better than this…a training issue perhaps.

Le hamburger italien n'a rien d'italien, la pizza ne vaut pas une pizza faite par un "vrai pizzaiolo". le cadre est beau mais trop bruyant - limite cantine scolaire .On a malgré tout mangé correctement.

Have eaten in Jamie's in the past and have never had such poor food and service as this. First of all we were given the wrong menu and had to reorder from a different one. Burger was very chewy and the chips almost cold. Forgot to bring our drinks. Very difficult to attract waiting staff attention to ask if we could order dessert. Chocolate brownie luke warm. Don't think I'll be eating in a Jamie's again. Other tables around us also had problems with service and food orders.

El local es bonito y está muy bien decorado. Es realmente lo unico positivo que se puede decir del restaurante. La comida es francamente mala. Pedimos una tabla de fiambres variados para cuatro y resultó ser unos elementos con apariencia de fiambre pero de sabor muy parecido al plástico. Los carbonara eran francamente vomitivos y la boloñesa un autentico engrudo. El servicio lento (tardamos en "malcomer" un par de horas) y los modales de los camareros impertinentes y groseros. Un local al que nunca volveré y al que lamento haber ido''. El precio una exageración¡¡

Unfortunately, our experience was less than satisfactory... food was not that tasty... service was OK... and the components of the dish was a bit misleading. A "beet salad" should have more than three small pieces of beets! The only memorable thing regarding the tagliatelle pasta was that aside from it being a bit overcooked, was the heat from the sauce... really bland and flavorless. I guess an off day for the chef... the food was edible... but not the experience we have had in the past!

We have enjoyed a nice meal there early on a Thursday evening. The place was quiet, the service swift and the food more than decent. The only minus being the cheeky approach as we were using a voucher from Wowcher. The prosecco was cheaper per glass indeed, but the glass only filled half. In the end with the extra's we ended paying as much as it would cost normally, but having received smaller portions.

OK, we didn't have a good experience, there were problems when taking the orders and service was also very delayed - it seems they were short of stuff. However: what makes me give a good review is the fantastic reaction from management when we brought this to their attention. Not only they acknowledged and apologised, but we were given the two kids food for free and removed the service charge on their own initiative. We have been there other times and had no problems.

Had a great leisurely lunch with a gorgeous set lunch menu - a comp glass of prosecco and a celeriac soup with my Jamie's Gold member card. Dean, our server, was outstanding....friendly, professional and on the ball. All in all a lovely way to spend a drizzly day with a friend midweek. The espresso martinis went down a treat too! Recommend this place.

We had a lovely meal here for my sons birthday, the food was delicious and served very quickly. There was a lovely atmosphere and the staff were friendly too.

This is the first time I have been to a Jamie's Italian and what a let down it was!The food is diabolical! The burger and chips at nearly 15 quid and what a let down it was! Chips that were like all the leftover bits from the fryer at the end of the evening, a burger so over cooked and dry you could have used it instead of a brick in a smash & grab! If I had been the organiser of the party that was eating here I would have point blank refused to pay the food was so bad!This Restaurant is all about style over substance! Just because you are in a tourist area does not mean you should take the P**S out of all your customersSuch a shame when Jamie is always on about quality, I suggest he starts again from scratch with this Restaurant!

What an amazing restaurant! Visited numerous Jamie's in the UK and this was the best by far! Lovely accommodating staff very friendly and welcoming plus I have a gold card so we got lots of lovely freebies including free prosecco which went down a treat! Good arrived very fast considering how busy the place was at the time (19:45) and we enjoyed 3 courses and it only came to £40.30 for 2 people! Excellent cost, excellent food, excellent!!

Service good but food very mediocre. Starters were fatty and steak was really horrible. Manager very pleasant but free ice cream didn't make up for awful meal.

Nice setting and the food is good but nothing more than what you should expect for the price. Plenty of places to eat in Greenwich and I wouldn't rush back but left pleased. For the price I think bread should be given with the mains to soak up the sauces. Service was good however.

We ordered shared "stacks" for lunch, however discovered that the name was a misnomer and the description of this dish was misleading. We expected the quantity of food you would expect in a sandwich, particularly as we had to pay extra for bread. There were a couple of slices of meat sliced so thinly that they were transparent, and a tasteless paste supposed to be aioli in a small pot. The small buffalo mozerella was OK.We complained, the duty manger told us that the food was the way it was in Italy and inferred that we didn't have the experience to understand this. Other staff became involved and did eventually discount the bill. We left hungry and with a family lunch ruined because of poor food and staff not listening to our concerns.

Accidentally stumbled upon this place with a group of friends. The staff were incredibly accommodating, helpful and obliging. A big thanks to Fiona for caring for all 14 of us! We had a very enjoyable evening thanks to the lovely service provided. The interior was spacious and inviting. The food was very good (inc. the pizza). Highly recommend this place if you're planning to treat yourself and your friends. Thank you guys!

Came here with several work colleagues on a week day evening. I'd been to this restaurant a couple times before and this visit certainly didn't disappoint. There is lots of space and you never feel squashed in unlike in some other places with less space. The dishes were delicious and fresh, the staff were friendly and happy to help with special requests etc. Overall, a lovely atmosphere and an enjoyable evening. I would definitely return here again in future.

Wir waren gestern dort um eines der schnellen Menüs (quick and easy) zu nehmen mit Starter und Main meal.Da es nach 3 Uhr war, war der große Ansturm bereits vorbei und es waren vielleicht 8 Tische besetzt.Somit sollte das Essen auch schnell serviert werden - falsch gedacht.Der Starter kam nach 20min und danach haben wir nochmal fast 1h!!! auf das Hauptgericht (nur Nudeln) gewartet.Andere Tische die nach uns besetzt wurden bekamen noch vor uns ihr Essen.Unser Nachbartisch der übrigens auch nach uns kam wollte uns sogar noch was von ihren Resten anbieten, damit wir nicht verhungern ...Die Bedienung kam irgendwann zwischendurch und meinte nur kurz das unser Essen gleich käme und verschwand sofort wieder.Als dann endlich die Nudeln gebracht wurden war eine Portion nicht mal richtig gekocht und wir ließen diese zurückgehen.Anstatt dieses Gericht sofort neu zu machen, bekamen erst einmal andere Tische ihre Nudeln serviert. Wir hatten die ganze Zeit Blick auf den Koch der für die Nudeln zuständig war und sahen mit welchem Engagement gekocht wurde. Die Bedienung ging mehrmals zu ihm hin und hat nach unserem Gericht verlangt, aber das war wohl kein Grund für ihn einen Zahn zuzulegen.Natürlich kam die neue Portion dann erst als meine Freundin bereits mit Ihrer Portion komplett fertig war.Von der Bedienung kam nur ein kurzes sorry und sie verschwand dann sofort wieder.Keine wirkliche Entschuldigung oder Aufmerksamkeit seitens des Restaurants für diese Aktion und wir waren stinksauer.Somit gibt es von uns absolut keine Empfehlung für dieses Restaurant.

Last week (26 Aug) we popped in for dinner. Our waiter, Adam was very warm and friendly. Throughout our meal he checked that everything was ok but not too overbearing. He had a great sense of humour without being too much and had good knowledge of the menu. Outstanding dishes were the prosciutto board, it melted in the mouth. Also the octopus ravioli was delicious and flavoursome. My prawns in the garlic linguine was fresh and juicy. Great idea of the Shake Me Salad on the kids menu, it was the only way our son ate salad. Great service and great food. Had a fantastic evening, thank you.

Background - we've eaten in many Jamie's around the country - Westfield (Stratford) - Cambridge - Canary Wharf etc - so we know what to expect. How it can be done right. Chose to eat here on a Weds eve - 6.30pm. Was greeted and told before we got to our table that squid was off the menu - no hello / welcome. Seated at a table not fully set up / missing napkins and condiments (when there were other tables that were).No mention of specials on offer - ordered drinks and starters and a bread basket. Ordered strawberry mint lemonade - turned up with raspberry as they'd also run out of strawberry syrup.Starter was acceptable (although the tomato tins now nolonger used to prop up your meat plank. Little bit of theatre lost. Took away starters and asked where bread basket was - were told bread had run out - they were cooking fresh batch.Got mains - I had lasagne. Don't bother - see picture. Asked where bread basket was - waitress replied oh? You still want it ? .........YES ! Was our response. Got the bread basket - stone cold -? Freshly baked?After this experience paid up and left - couldn't be bothered to raise the issues as no sign of maitre'd anywhere. Setting - lovely building - sympathetically renovated.Service - needs lots to be done - Jamie - you'll be bankrupt if your staff carry on treating your customers like this and serve poor food and have nothing in stock.

I been on Sunday evening with my boyfriend to have the dinner to Jamie's Italian in Greenwich.The wine was good and the starters too.Unfortunay i can't say the same about the service!!!Our waitres was very,very rude!!She was doing wierd faces when i was complaining about the aircondition and ask her 3 time to switch off!! Never back again !!

Le repas était bon, mais l'attente avec des enfants fort longue. Déjà on nous a laissé attendre dans l'entrée, alors qu'il y avait des tables libres; ayant fait notre choix avant de nous mettre à table, ils ont encore attendu pour prendre la commande. Arrivés vers 20h nous avons été servis vers 21h et la musique est abominable.C'était ma troisième visite et je pense la dernière.

We hadn't visited Greenwich for a few years and were pleasantly surprised to find a Jamie's Italian. We've had pretty awful meals in Greenwich in the past. The staff were lovely with our 3 children, 8,7 and 18 mths. The kids loved watching the chefs cook. We had a lovely warm table near service, which was appreciated on a not so fantastic British summer day!Food was enjoyed by all. Very fresh and healthy.A bonus came with the bill. All the children ate for free. We had no idea, and it was a very pleasant surprise.

We visited Jamie's Italian knowing really what to expect having been to quite a few now. It wasn't busy and we called in spec not booking a table. Took a long time to take our order, had no drinks for the best part of ten minutes, which was disappointing as it was a birthday meal and the purpose was to enjoy ourselves ! Apart from the service everything else was good, food was good and the actual restaurant is very smart.

Coming from the other side of the world and being a big fan of Jamie Oliver dining here was appealing. It was a big disappointment. The service was dreadful. We waited and waited for a drink, a glass of water and our food which we could see under the warmer. The specialty garlic bread was dry and dreadful, the meat boat had sat for at least 20 minutes so slightly worrying. My salad was OK but nothing I couldn't have made myself. The only pleasant part of this was the lovely courtyard we sat in. Definitely wouldn't return

We loved our meals at Jamie's. The food was delicious, the waiter was extremely friendly and efficient. We sat outside as the inside of the restaurant was quite warm.Luckily we were there early because when we left at 1.30pmish, people were queuing for a table.We downloaded the Jamie's app which saved us £10 off our £77 bill (two starters, four mains and four drinks)

We were only in Greenwich for a few days waiting to board our cruise ship. We arranged to meet a friend, who we hadn't seen for a few years, for lunch. He travelled to Greenwich from his home some distance away. He suggested Jamie's for lunch and as we were familiar with the name from TV and like Italian food, we jumped at it. So were disappointed that it proved a mistake. Besides the prices being much more than what one expect, even in London, for our choices, the music was so loud and not what we would have anticipated at lunch time. We did ask if it could be turned down - there was no discernible difference , perhaps the style of music is loud anyway? In fact it was impossible to hear each other so we asked if we could move outside into the courtyard and even though it was cold - at least we could have a catch up chat. Our friend chose a special of the day - fish dish - which he complained about ( to the waitperson) as it was a very small helping for the price. My husband had a pizza which was ok and I a caesar salad which was not a standard caesar salad ( no egg, no bacon, no anchovy) but also a small helping - maybe they think people need less at lunchtime? Maybe we picked the wrong things off a limited menu? But the ambience was not inspiring and the loud music spoiled our experience.

I've watched this restaurant from years ago when it used to be the quirky and charming Bar du Musee to now, bloated to about three times the size of the original but without any of the interest, charm or even quality food. A bland chain that doesn't even have the decency to be cheap with it. Dull and purely for tourists.

We visited last Saturday evening. We had been to this restaurant the same time last year and it was great, we were looking forward to returning. We booked a table for 7.30 and arrived to be told that they would lay a table for us, a bit surprising as we had booked. When we were taken through we were seated at a table in what could only be described as a mess. There had obviously been a few family groups that had eaten in this area and the debris was all over surrounding tables and the floor. we were given the menu and then told that only one of the special dishes, out of four, was available. Very surprising at half past seven on a Saturday evening. I had the carbonara for main which although the pasta was nice the sauce was disappointing, tasteless and I had to search for the leeks and pancetta! As we had so enjoyed our visit last year it was disappointing. We had also visited Jamie's Italian in Portsmouth at Easter and were also disappointed then, the pizza oven had broken and there were several things not available on the menu. Not sure we will be seeking out another one!

We have been in this resturent last year and we had a very good experience with it. Beased on that visit we decided to have lunch in it this time. Unfortunately we were not pleased at all this time. The waitress was confused and not orinted at all. We ordered items and after very very long time we got our meals with two meal missing. We requested a spical meal for our kid and it was miss prepered and when we discuss this with the waitress she was not apologetic. In regards to the food i can say the quantity and the taste were not that good. Salad was missing the dressing taste. For example tge Pizza was below avarage. We waited long time to get our food even though the resturent was not that bussy.

We stop in here for the specials from time to time, and this day was no different. I strayed off-piste from the pasta and went for Jamie's burger (enjoyed it) and my wife went for the Sea Trout special. Our little one did a small margharita pizza. Fiona was helpful from start to finish. She was friendly and engaging as if we were old friends hanging out. She wasn't overly familiar, but friendly and helpful. We watched her do the same with another family and a group of ladies out for a lunch meeting. We called the manager over as we were leaving and noted her great customer service. We don't get to do this all the time, but it sure made a difference this day. We had visited a rather posh, high-end, white table dining establishment the day before and Fiona's level of service rivalled the team at that place. She's a gem and we think that's a nice reflection on staff selection and training too.

I come here with my husband and children for good food and celebrations. I enjoy watching Jame Oliver and always want to try his food. Second time to beautiful city london. Everyone friendly to ask if we are ok. Food good and service good treated well by man Avvel he helped us with italian menu. My husband wants to visit again. Next time we will see oliver the great.

Place is amazing, so as food. But unfortunately cold AF inside and a silly mistake from waitress with a bill.

Having Coeliac Disease, it can often be difficult eating out. We visited Jamie's Italian whilst visiting friends who live in Greenwich, and I'm always nervous at the prospect of trying somewhere new. Our waitress Fiona.K was so knowledgable and helpful. She really took time to explain my options and made me feel like nothing was too much trouble. I felt so at ease and her service was the best I've ever received. Thank you so much for making dining out pleasurable again for the first time since my diagnosis!

Not up to Jamie's usual standards, slow service had to wait for 15 minutes to even get a drink. Tried to catch someones eye several times but they seemed to be busy seating everyone and then not going back. Food was also poor, i had a small portion of carbonara but it was congealed and nearly cold. As we were heading the the Dance Conservatoire Larban for a performance i could not wait for them to cook it again. My husband had a meaty pasta, which he said had no seasoning or much flavour and was also look warm. Not one i would revisit.

Visited on a Monday early evening. We were seated quickly. Staff were very pleasant and attentive. Food was as good as we are used to in Jamie's Italian. Good wine selection.Food arrived quickly, very tasty.Very pleasant location, the courtyard garden on a lovely hot day, was great.

We went there for dinner on Thursday. The place was nicely decorated and the person who welcomed us as we entered was very friendly. We were served pretty quickly. We chose from a special menu for Groupon offers, which is what we had. We ordered starters which were lovely but the steak and fries were mediocre nothing special about them. The meat was not tender a bit tough. I had crab spaghetti but again it was average no wow factor unfortunately. We had to pay extra for drinks, which was the offer we had but we realised that we were charged more than we should have for some technical reason. It is a pity because we had really had different expectations from a place associated with Jamie Oliver.

After browsing the market, we popped in receiving a warm welcome from Chris to find a surprisingly large garden in the back with seating. We had two little mozzarella bundles as a starter that were amazing and shared a selection of primi sized pastas that were all cooked perfectly. The waiter Joe even changed the gnocchi recipe on request. I love good coffee and the Kimbo espresso reminded me of our trip to Naples. We'll be back again on a sunny day!

Came for a celebration meal with my mum and daughter the day before her graduation. I have visited Jamie's in Leeds so I was looking forward to eating at one of his restaurants again. The restaurant was very quiet and so we were served quickly. Only I ordered a starter, the waitress asked if it was ok for the starter to come to the table at the same time as the mains, which I said was fine as it was a cold starter, but she brought a hot pasta starter with the mains and when I said it was the wrong, she showed me the till receipt to prove me wrong, felt it was my fault and I was being a nuisance. My mum is a very plain eater which they did cater for, but it was lukewarm. Water on the table was lukewarm too with no ice. Three toilets had run out of toilet paper. Overall food was nice and restaurant spacious, but would definitely not go again after the service, spoilt it for me.

Everything was very disappointing. Our waiter was possibly the most miserable man on the planet, and couldn't be bothered to crack a smile the entire time we were there, or even really care that we were paying customers. If the service had gotten any slower we would still be there now. In an almost deserted restaurant the quickest thing to arrive was the check. I would love to see Jamie Oliver eat the 'carbonara' that is served there and try to tell me that it in anyway resembles what it is served in Italy. Do yourself a favour and don't waste your money on an overrated and totally gimmicked restaurant.

Called in on a Wednesday evening to eat late on (9pm). We waited ages to be seated when there were many tables free. The staff were not paying any attention to waiting customers. We sat down and asked for a garlic bread for a starter. They had run out and were waiting for a delivery! It's an Italian restaurant. Clearly everything is from a packet. Jamie's name means nothing. This is a basic Italian chain restaurant with poor service. I wouldn't recommend this at all. We shared our frustration at the time and we were given some complimentary bread! Not one for my bucket list.

I came with my two kids after a morning at the Royal Observatory. This place is perfect for families. It's spacious, enough room to manage a pram, kids menu was great. In general the food was very good quality, I was happy to find a place that's not pub food and healthy and delicious and welcomed kids! But the restaurant is very big so if you don't want to be bothered with kids there's plenty of room to sit. Our waitress was friendly. Would definitely recommend!!

We have visited a number of Jamie's Italian restaurants and we are always left disappointed, I will not be going to another again. I got the 2 course lunch menu. For started I got the truffle pasta which tasted like it had an entire tub of salt on it. It was however better than the bland gnocchi I had for a main. The tomato sauce was so bland and I could have done a better job myself. I go to a restaurant to be wowed not wondering why I spent my money there. The only good point was that the staff were nice. Will not be returning as the food was pap! Gives Jamie Oliver a bad name really, this happens at every restaurant as well.

We had never tried Jamie's but thought we would give it a go...what a mistake. We were shown a table in an annex room to the right of the main restaurant. Shabby decor and 'retro' tables & chairs I remember from my schooldays...We chose the 2 course lunch menu which offered a varied choice. The first course arrived promptly...however we waited a good 15 mins for the pasta main. I've lived in Italy and have learnt to cook a good tasty pasta dish but this was just not good. l could have cooked a better meal.Service was attentive and friendly but we did not enjoy this dining experience...sorry Jamie, we won't be coming back!

Family of 8 with two children moving around. Waitress was calm, efficient, pleasant despite being very busy. Food was good although a couple sweets had things missing but when we pointed this out we were not charged. Great venue and we had plenty of space and did not feel rushed at any time. Could do with a few more staff to help out.

we go to jamies for dinner with famil and friends.I order sirloin steak but dont lıke it.steak nearly burned.Porsion is not enaugh.Pizza is little and ordinary.There is no extra.Browni is not tasty.And %12.5 service fee.I paid approx 20 .Beer is not cold.only 2 brand beer we offered.I dont thing so we never again visit jamies italien.Ower all İt s not worthyI'm really not quite sure why he puts his name to these eateries

Literally the worst jamie's I've been to. Food was ok, but the service was shocking. Called to book as was told we had to be later because it was busy, turned up and it was dead. Waitress took 15 mins to ask for drinks and a further 15mins to take order. She literally had no idea what was going on and made us feel like it was our fault. A very odd evening.

Dragged my husband to the UK from Australia and promised him a visit to at least one of Jamies Restaurants. I have eaten at two of his places before and enjoyed the meals and we are both Jamie fans. I cook quite a few of his recipes from his Italian cook book so was expecting a really good meal. We tried the one at Greenwich after a trip to the Cutty Sark.Most of the food was appalling. I am still convinced the sauce for the Rigatoni came out of a jar and if it did not the Chef should be ashamed. Allan's spaghetti was undercooked and sticky like glue. It had no flavour what so ever, we didn't even bother with dessert. Actually I will give a gib score for the Bruschetta. That was delicious but you could hardly stuff up that. We do not usually complain but I thought we might this time however the staff greeting customers were so unfriendly we didn't even bother as we were sure it would not get reported back.

I'm really not quite sure why he puts his name to these eateries. This was our second time here thinking we'd give it another chance. The first time was mediocre to say the least. This time was less than mediocre. 10minute wait despite having booked and only a half full restaurant, cold pasta, soggy, uncooked pizza, drinks finally appearing after the food arrived, disappointing burger and disappointed kids. Will definitely not be back here. Given the amount of choice there is in Greenwich they really can't afford to be anything less than excellent.The only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is that our waiter was a nice guy.

The food and drinks here were nice and they often have deals going on. This time it was kids ear free. The service however was slow. We often had to ask for refills or extra bits and waited a long time for the bill.

Il locale è molto ben arredato e ampio, il personale sempre gentilee sorridente e i piatti di ottima qualità. Perfetto anche per famiglie, con un'ampia scelta di piatti. Consigliato a tutti.

I've visited this place several times, usually it so happens when I'm really spent, knackered, and ravenous. Have dined solo as johnny no mates, and with mates. The setting is urban industrial - in my opinion - which is both good and bad. I like it when I'm dining solo, I don't feel I stand out. With mates, I feel the setting and atmosphere can be a bit cavernous and impersonal. Depends on your mood; definitely a destination for people watching when you're on your tod; for sampling food you can talk about with a mate, but take your own oxygen for atmosphere.Food wise, it's a bit different which suits me - pescatarian with veggie aspirations - so great to chomp through salads with edgy flavours - got that hand made character that hits the spot. Down side - the specials go quick - the last time I went they substituted salmon for cod which had run out and it was a disappointment, the special was not so special. BUT if you're in Greenwich and ravenous, it's the place to try,....
