Noodle Time in Greenwich

Food is up to standard. But the service is really good. We had a child with us. The waiters are very caring. The crispy and hot spring roll of the kid's meal is very impressive. Some of the well-known Chinese restaurant can provide tasty food but the service is really very poor. For the service I will give 5 marks.

Great portion for students for their noodles.

Stopped in with my family who have several different tastes in food. But all loved what they chose to eat. Staff very friendly.

This was my go-to as a student at Greenwich. Returning a decade later it is so refreshing to see it hasn't changed. It is fast, cheap and very tasty. No nonsense dining. It's full of character and does one thing very well. I hope this place doesn't change for another 10 years.

I used to be a regular when I lived in the rea over 10 years ago and I was so happy to return. The portions of the main were huge, specially considering the price of £8.25 and the location! Everything was yummy, as well as the iced tea. Service and ambience was fine, will definitely be back and have recommended to friends and family

Works well for a family with young children. The staff were kind and relaxed and the service prompt on a Saturday night.

Huge menu, all the food we ordered was fresh, plentiful and absolutely delicious. Reasonably priced. Staff attentive and pleasant. It was fairly quiet but was 3pm on a Sunday. Would recommend. Thank you.

Numerous things were missed and skipped by our server, but we ate, so that was a positive. Cutlery was missing after the 2nd of numerous dishes came to the table, sizes of wine servings were not understood, and after asking for a knife a second time, self collection was needed. However, prices are very competitive here! Would return, though.

Everything was fine except the food 😅 The staff boy was shy and cute. The vibe was okay. However, the food, we were rather disappointed. Not really authentic Chinese fried noodles and rice. The beef in the beef fried noodles (I chose wheat noodles among other options) didn’t taste soft. The onion in it was almost raw. My partner ordered No. 34 roast pork & duck egg fried rice. Nah, the rice was a bit hard and cold to taste.

Great value for money, quick service, good portions & very tasty dishes. Highlight was the crispy chili beef & braised beef noodle soup.

Not bad… It is the chinese restaurant mainly for non Chinese customers… please avoid “wheat noodles” it is just instant noodle!!! Dumpling are below average… Other noodle dishes are average. The reason to have 4 stars is inexpensive and good service. Good for those ppl who don’t want to spend too much and ordered right dishes.

This has to be the worst Chinese I have ever had, greecy food, ketchup watery nasty taste, chicken balls mushy and had white over them. Nothing tasted right at all, wouldn't go back in a hurry and I do not recommend.

Noodles maybe ok. But forget their dim sum. Won't go there for a long time.

Good Ol' Neighborhood Noodle place. Perfect for a chill night out. Food was great and service was quick and excellent. You can tell that they've streamlined their processes as much as possible, with the menus already on the table, and the bill by the door. Would recommend!

Terrible this is my local I eat here all the time tonight I got a take away and the portions were absolutely shocking! I called up and explained that the sizes were smaller than usual the man on the phone just sat in silence I called back and they ignored my calls. I and my family will not be returning here again

i came in couple days ago and have mixed opinion. while i came into the restaurant, i noticed before i entered that the people here were enjoying their food, so i was happy with my choice of restaurant as i was starving. i was sat down pretty quickly by a young girl who also helped me later on. unfortunately i had to wait a very long time to be served. while i was waiting to be served, i noticed an older asian lady in a ponytail stood at the till sending voice messages to her friends whilst i sat here waiting for my order to be taken. this really took me by surprise as the other workers were running about doing the work while she stood at the till laughing and sending voice notes to her friends while pointing fingers at the kind workers to do something she could do, this did not sit right with me. luckily there was a young girl who was kind enough to take my order while she was on break. she quickly took my order and my food was out pretty quick. she kept asking me if i was ok and if the food was ok and i was charmed by her manners in comparison to the older lady’s ignorance. when i needed to pay, the older lady at the till rudely pointed at me with her phone still in her hand and said “pay here come here” and it felt rude. i wasn’t very happy with the older lady at the till but i found the other workers lovely. i would come back here again if there was nicer customer service from that lady as she made my dining time uncomfortable. again, the other workers were amazing so please praise them for their hard work.

We were passing by Noodle Time and thought we would give it a try. We were very tight for time as we were part of a group day out and had to meet the other members of the group and only had an hour so little time to get something to eat. I am so pleased we did go to Noodle Time as the service and food was excellent. The waitress was very attentive and friendly and helpful as we were not aware of what some of the dishes were and she kindly explained the choices and what was included. There is a huge menu choice and I think that you could visit Noodle Time many times and never eat the same thing twice. The food was delicious and very nicely presented and extremely tasty. Prices were more than acceptable for the portion size and the brilliant service. I highly recommend Noodle Time!

The food was flavourful and definitely satisfied my Chinese cravings. The service was lovely, staff were particularly attentive and helpful in quickly bringing my braised beef to the table. The braised beef was especially succulent and tender. I would definitely recommend Noodle Time as they accept contactless.

A dream. A great place for a warm sit down meal below £10. Sat here on a Thursday night eating the pork udon noodles, drinking peach iced tea and Lana del Rey was playing on the speakers. Great atmosphere, super quick service and well priced

The reasoning for the review is that the service was very slow and we always had to ask when we wanted something, e.g. to order, to ask where missing dishes were and to pay. It was hard to get their attention and it wasn’t busy. The food was really delicious and tasty and if the service improved I’d definitely go back.

I have been eating here on a regular, sporadic basis with a great friend for over 5 years and I am unimpressed with the complete package we experienced tonight compared with previous visits. The food was as delicious as ever...however the service was lacklustre and spasmodic, the music was too loud. I had to go and ask for someone to take our order, then again to ask when my colleague's main course would arrive (mine was already on the table)...and there was no soap inn the men's bathroom. Yet, at one point , I noticed 5 , hanging around chatting... It is not what it was....

Despite the food still being enjoyable, the experience this evening was very disappointing and my colleague and I have been eating here for over 5 years. The music was too loud, I had to ask for someone to take our order...and noticed customers who had arrived after us, getting their food before we did. There was no attention to detail. At one point, I had to ask where my colleague's main course was, as mine had been served several minutes earlier. The soap dispenser in the gents was empty. I don't believe we shall be returning here

Used to be great, lived in Greenwich for many years and used to go a fair bit. Visited at the w/e and it was cheap but pretty dire I am afraid.

Food is Absolutely Disgusting. I had various sets of dumplings, all were just microwaved, some still not cooked properly, plus not tasty at all. I didn't have high expectations in view of the premises but this is worst than what I expected. Never Again.

Price reflects the food quality, target market and decor. Good portion sizen. Flickering lights on the ceiling.

This is the worst restaurant I have ever been to! We’d spent the day in Greenwich and were starving so wanted to grab a quick bite before heading home. But the FOOD WAS TERRIBLE!! We didn’t finish one dish because each dish was horrible!! Ordered a roast pork with rice (pork and sauce was bland with no flavour and rice looked like it had just been microwaved), fried seafood and Ho fun noodles (no taste and all of a sudden got a mouthful of salt!), crispy chilli beef (this wasn’t crispy at all, it was chewy and tasted funny, maybe this was microwaved as well 🤷🏻‍♀️) and a kid’s spring rolls and noodles (bland noodles with half fried spring rolls and some sad looking salad, think it was cabbage and carrots which we didn’t touch). I would never go here again - that’s 2 hours and £41 that I’ll never get back.

I came here with my family and the best thing that came to our table were the glass of coke which was on the flat side. Our food were tasteless, the boiled rice wasn’t fresh, the shredded chilli beef were neither crispy or tasty. It was a disappointing meal. This will be the first and last time we’d visit.

After having a spot of lunch here with the hope it was as nice as I remember 20 odd years ago, I have to say we were massively disappointed, the dumplings we had were awful, akin to cheap wholesale frozen produce, the main wasn’t much to be desired and I had to get up to get someone’s attention to order in the first place, even napkins and chopsticks were not served with our meal. A shame it was not as great as I remembered. Won’t be coming here again

Ordered online over Uber eats and all of it went in the bin. I never had chicken satay so dry and shredded duck so fatty. Will never go here again waist of money.

This place is somewhere we have visited almost every week with a little shopping in the arcade. Until today haven't had an issue. Seated then waited ages to order, there are a lot of new staff apart from one guy that's served us over the years. He took the simple order, duck and pancake rolls for starter then the normal rice and black bean chicken. When the starters arrived with one side plate when there is three of us seated. Had to find a member of staff to ask for the other plates. No table clearance after we finished and waited ages but no main meals arrived. It must have been at least 30 minutes. After checking at the till, the main meals that we ordered had not been place into the system. Still no table clearance. 10 minutes pasted until the meals arrived. Eating with the table still cluttered with dishes and drink cans. We are going to look for a new restaurant as have removed this one from our list when we visit Greenwich. Service has become so poor.

Service was extremely poor ! Multiple staff members walked past our table numerous times and completely ignored the fact we had empty plates and cans to clear. We arrived at 5:50pm and received our starter within 15 minutes but the main however after waiting 35 minutes after finishing our starter. We found out from another staff member that our mains hadn’t even been ordered. Extremely disappointed with the service overall. Had to ask them to remove the automatic service charge that they add onto the bill at the end. The food was okay.

Affordable price and good service. My toddler always remember they give a free lollitop. And the staffs speak Mandarin.

Updating my review as have been in and the standard has improved. Food is well cooked, service is quick and prices are good. Been back four times. Only downside is portions seem to be a bit smaller than before.

The food is delicious. Nice and quick! However the girl who did the payment was very loud and it hurt my ears. Other than that, lovely place.

Haven't eaten here for a few years.Came for lunch with my husband and was very surprised that the food was very bland,had no great taste/flavours.Price was reasonable though.

we got our food in less than 5 minutes, which was scarily surprising as we just ordered. The dumplings were chewy and tasted like plastic and the whole meal just felt like it was reheated and not fresh and It made me feel sick. The coke also had no fizz When telling the staff it didn’t taste right and seemed like it was reheated they didn’t deny or apologise, he asked nonchalantly if I wanted a different dish. When we said no the server just shrugged and kind of said ok you don’t have to eat it you can go.

Had a great meal here last Friday, staff polite and helpful and food tasted great, meat (beef and chicken) was tender and good cuts with no gristle. Better value than the big chain restaurants surrounding it so will be going back and trying some more dishes when are in area next.

I have been here at the Noodle Time Nelson Road Greenwich on and off many times and on other occasions, on the 10th September 2023 went for a meal, I have to say when the standard has drop here which does happen at this restaurant I do not come here for a long time but this has been the worst ever. The turnover of staff are quite young and clearly are not professional and probably paid low within this fact of turnover, unsatisfactory staff who can not be bothered become questionable that in turn reflects everything. My husband and myself ordered prawn sesame toast, salt & pepper prawns, egg fried rice and my meal, I sat in front where the bar is and the food that is sent in a small elevator so the waitress takes the food to bring to the tables. Waited quite a while for our starter and the waitress took the plates out of the elevator, I heard a load bang of their Plastic Plates that I knew that food had dropped on the floor as I looked up towards the waitress who was to serve our table, I saw the waitress bent down and pick up some thing below the ground taking the food from this elevator. I then knew she picked the food up and replaced the food back onto their plastic plates she waited around 5 seconds and walked to our table served us with this plate of prawn toasted sesame and gave us to eat. The toast was bent at the sides and this was at this moment I knew this was the plate of filthy food from the floor she put on our table my husband who has cancer had ate 2 pieces while I was processing this activity knowing and complaining that what she done he was not listening to me, I could not eat anything else. I complained to the manager when returning on my “own” back to this disgusting restaurant an hour later after myself and husband had a blazing argument in regards. This restaurant is a place You Should Never go into and eat. They Should be Closed Down by Greenwich council and their licence revoked by the food standards. “You” the Manager can tell me that you will train your “employee” on her first night there with the black scarf in what “the basic of food” is when contaminated once it drops on the floor you need to throw the food it in the Garbage, is that what you need to train your staff about?

Fabulous noodles (you can even choose the type of noodles with your dish from the wall design) really lovely staff, definitely go here again.

Sorry won't be returning. I had the crispy chili beef, was so crispy couldn't taste any beef. Got the chow mein and asked with no pork, it arrived with pork so returned it and it came back and they gave us the same plate as there was still little pork bits. The chicken bites were more like crispy chicken.

The food is incredible, with every piece seasoned to perfection. The staff are always welcoming and friendly and it has a beautiful atmosphere. Highly recommend anyone near Greenwich to try this amazing restaurant out. The prices are reasonable and they have great portions. I can't wait to come back. 10/10

Quick, hot food. You pick by the plate and you can't go wrong with the size of portions. Nothing wrong here with simply ordering a plate of food, glass of tap water and being on your way with a full belly and less than a tenner spent. Takes cash or card.

The food was the worst I've ever had; I ordered shredded duck with pancakes which came wrapped in a plastic sealed bag (probably bought and placed there). No taste whatsoever and the meat was dry and hard as a stone. Same for the Sweet & Sour chicken. Price was reasonable however its quality is below zero so in my opinion the restaurant is overpriced. Save your money and health and go somewhere else.

We had very good food here and kind service. Crispy aromatic duck was just perfect.

Poor quality food Place needs a good clean

Dishes ordered: special fried rice, crispy duck, dumplings, and wonton noodle soup. The fried rice was edible but nothing special. I’ve had way better ones elsewhere and frankly I can probably outdo it. The wontons were probably prepared from those packages that you can buy from any oriental store. The noodles were highly likely just instant noodles. Very disappointing. The best plate that we ordered was the crispy duck thing. It wasn’t out of this world but I’d pretty solid. Also the dumplings were pretty okay too. Overall the food was quite meh. At least it’s cheap so if you don’t wanna spend too much and just want some quick Chinese food go for it.

The food here is ok. As a Chinese person, it tastes like Chinese but average Chinese food. The beef fried flat noodle tastes good, but not warm enough. I think it is pre-made and just warm up to serve. The curry chicken rice is not very flavourful. The shrimp dumplings are tasty but not big. Service is ok, no one is ring rube or overly enthusiastic. Compared to Tai Wan Mien, this one is not as tasty. They take contactless payment.

Mir wurde das Restaurant auf TripAdvisor empfohlen. Das Ambiente war nicht sehr einladend, jedoch war das Essen sehr gut und ich kann es nur weiterempfehlen! Ich hatte Chicken, Sweet Sour mit Egg fried Rice. Die Portionen waren meiner Meinung nach viel zu gross, man muss sich daher gar keine Sorgen machen da man auf alle Fälle satt wird.

Right in the centre of Greenwich. Looks unassuming- but don't be fooled by that. The food is delicious. Great menu options. I had the chicken and sweetcorn soup, beef in schezuan sauce and BFF had special fried rice. Generous portions. Also had two beers and jasmine tea. Came to less than £40. The staff are friendly and helpful. Great place- mixed customer base, students, singles, groups, couples. Will definitely go again next time we're in Greenwich ( live in the NW).

Nice place to have a drink and dessert at an affordable price. Music is chilled. Banana fritter was cooked perfectly.

If you are allergic, vegetarian, vegan, be careful : it can be difficult to know exactly what is served to you, so make sure to ask and check before eating.

I've been here a few times and every single time they've over-charged me. The bills comes to £20 on the menu but they'll charge you £24 on exit. This has happened several times now. I try to give any restaurant the benefit of the doubt, and judge them only after several visits, and this one is the worst I've ever visited. On one occasion I ordered a main meal and several sides but only the main meal came out: I was charged for everything.

Very nice staff and food. My friend ordered king prawns fried noodles, and I ordered a few dim sum. We both enjoyed our food. The female staff from Guangxi China and the vietnamese female staff are both very helpful. Will visit again.

Comida pasable, la atención la peor que me toco en london y si vas después de las 20hs te tratan como si no pagaras la cena. Te tiran los platos, el trato nones cordial. No recomiendo.

Worst food I ever had, first they bring the wrong beer, then bring chicken noodle instead of beef. Then they brought another chicken noodle. My daughter was very disappointed. Chicken on another order is under cook. The lady took the order not friendly at all. Please don't go there. All 4 of us did not finish the food.

Chicken curry came out cold. The food was nice. It didn't help that the person didn't understand what we wanted and had to get someone else.

Big big shame, been going here since I was a little boy after Aikido lessons and such, yesterday went in for takeaway roast duck and pork noodles and sesame prawns toast- in the past the prawn toast used to have good amounts of prawns and the noodles would fill up the containers but it was not so this time, Will be visiting Tai won meain instead tonight

I ate something here that literally sliced the back of my throat open and it is now infected. I think it may have been a small shard of glass. Additionally the food was far below average and the service was nothing short of appalling. Avoid this place.

The portions are big, but the food is not good. Plain flavour, tasteless. It's costly for what you get. The toilets are not clean. I would not be back again.

We went on the 11/4/23. The food was awful. There was no variation of taste between the dishes. Its costly for the type of food you get. We didn't eat hardly any of it as it was Very disappointing. They definitely need a new chef. If that was my business he would of been fired that day.They also tried to charge us twice for service charge.

Always eat here when in Greenwich. The food has great flavour and is very good value. Staff friendly and toilet clean.
