Second lunch visit and everything was as perfect as previously. Good advice on the menu and it is easy to have sharing plates and add as you go along. The wines are well priced (for London) and a little different. Although we ended with beef and fish, there's huge variety of veg-based dishes throughout the starters and sides. We started with their ever-present focaccia, and beetroot and horseradish carpaccio, and didn't look back. Special mention for "potato full of itself" which will live in your dreams. And at least one fish served on fire, always. Cocktails excellent too. Most people I took are planning their own return.

My friend and I were in London for just 1 day. It was raining and we decided to find somewhere to eat. I'm so pleased that we found the warm and welcoming ambience of Sofra Oxford St branch. What a positive, elegant space with attentive and polite staff, delicious food and gracious owner Dr Huseyin Ozer who took the time to say hello. I can certainly reccomend and will be returning again soon!

Each time we go to the Portuguese Tavern in Purley, it feels just like being on holiday. The atmosphere is very friendly and the food is good. We have enjoyed many a pleasant times there and the prices are good value.

A really enjoyable meal. The restaurant is very small but this enables the one front of house staff member to be fully hands on and attentive without being overbearing. The set menu was excellent with each dish very carefully prepared and well presented and great care was taken to ensure that our gluten free member was catered for accordingly.Two of our group had the pairing wines which were well chosen and presented with a most knowledgeable verbal description. My only gripe is the fact that alongside certain of the set menu courses you are offered additional items to supplement your meal and which inevitably leaves one to question at the outset whether the menu offers sufficient food ( it does!) I do believe therefore that a set menu should be precisely that albeit of course you can offer alternatives for one or more of the courses.

Stumbled across this place next to the opticians and needed to kill time. Only popped in for a drink and was greeted by lovely staff who offered a broad range of drinks including smoothies and milkshakes and special lattes. The lady recommended a milkshake and I chose the pineapple milkshake. Sounds like an odd choice but this was the best milkshake I’ve ever had. It was perfectly creamy and icy and the pineapple almost made it taste like caramel or something from my childhood. If I could drink this every day for dessert I would. I hope they are open the next time I find myself in the area

This was a disappointing experience. The food lacked the subtle fragrance and flavour of Thai, with no fresh vegetables in the dishes. It was relatively inexpensive for Thai food but, even so, it was sadly not money well spent.

Lovely clean cafe with very friendly staff. Set in the Battle of Britain building and close to a lovely walk through the park.

I went to The Elbow in Tottenham yesterday eve with my partner, we are new to the area. The atmosphere was great, a really good Friday night feeling with people dancing and great music. I had the cocktails which were really nice and reasonable too and my partner was happy with the Guiness. The vibe was on point, deffo going again!

Esta fue nuestra segunda visita a este Restaurante (la última vez hace unos años), y como antes ambos optamos por la Carbonara. Incluso mejor que nuestra última visita. Increíble cómo pueden resultar tan excelente comida en una cocina tan pequeña. Muy recomendable

we live nearby and this is one of our favourite restaurant in the area. The food is always fresh and the staff very knowledgeable about the ingredients and cooking methods.

What can I say! The title says it all! Amazing quality food! Their English breakfasts are superb, huge portions, extremely fresh, non greasy! Perfect every single time! Excellent customer service, the food is always piping hot upon deliveries. I’m a regular can’t get enough of their breakfast! The only downside is once you go to café la cigale you won’t be able to stop ordering, they will be to blame for your weight gain 🤣. Honestly the only place I would order my breakfasts and lunches from! 5*
