Good quality falafel and salads either in a box or in a pitta. There are a few tables inside and 2 or 4 outside. It is not cheap - a box of falafel with pitta and a small bottle of water cost over £10. Nevertheless I had a good lunch and will probably return.

Visited here on a lunch break and got a falafel and humous box. The box comes with pitta on the side and is great value for money in the city and is healthy but filling. Get yourselves down there !

This place is awesome. I had tried falafel a year and half back during my previous visit. Nothing has changed including the free falafel that you get in store.

I am not the biggest falafel eater, however this place is by far the best I have had in London. I would definitely recommend it if you are a falafel fan. The service is great and they often give free falafel to those in the queue to whet your appetite which is always a bonus.

This place is a 5 minute walk from where I work. I come here regularly at lunchtime and it always hits the spot. You can order the pita or the salad. Salad is a £1 more but well worth it. If there is a queue, they serve you a hot falafel ball whilst you wait. Hummus, tahini and chill sauce. Yum, yum. Don’t forget the aubergine. It’s too die for. Eat in or takeaway. This place is greasy for vegans:)

Been looking for something like this in the area since I had something similar in StPauls. Delicious falafel pitta at £4.99, better than others lunch deals in my opinion. Will definitely go back again next week.

I really like the falafel at Pilpel. I visited for the 1st time with friends in July 2018 and had the falafel in pitta. It was very nice. This time I had the falafel container and the salad is fresh. The falafel were fresh too. Would recommend and service was good too!

I have walked pass this restaurant every day since it’s been opened. I decided to try it last Friday and was pleasantly surprised. The menu is varied from filled pitas to containers. I went for the falafel and feta container, which was delicious and filling. The falafel is one of the best I’ve tasted. The bonus for the World Cup is they have a bar down stairs and two large screens. It’s not overly busy and no wait time at the bar unlike other venues. I arrived after 13.00 and there were plenty of seats and tables. What more could you want great food, football and a beer!!

I have absolutely no idea how or why this place gets good reviews - it's like they're all reviewing a different restaurant! The food here was simply terrible. Starters were not too bad, although the waitress struggled to understand the difference between 'hot' and 'cold'. Our table was under a bright white neon light that might have been appropriate for a nasty surgical procedure but was not exactly gentle and welcoming for a cozy dinner. Still, we could live with all that... except the main course was truly dreadful. I had a lamb stew which turned out to be bits of greasy meat swimming in some sort of grey liquid, and the veggie stuff was either tasteless or actually unpleasant. The guy that runs the place was perfectly friendly but nobody cleared away our (largely uneaten) plates for what seemed like an age and the waitress, though also friendly and smiley, seemed to have disappeared altogether. Nor was it cheap - nearly £80 for two - which was just a joke really. I love Ethiopian food, but this place - never again.

Food was perfect and different (in a very good way) to tasting menus I've had in other Michelin starred restaurants. Each course was delicious, but the highlight for me was the longhorn beef and jollof rice. That rice was incredible. The spicing level was perfect, not hot enough to blow your head off, but you definitely knew it was there. I had moimoi years ago, but Akoko's version was on another level. Portion sizes were generous, and this meal was excellent value for money. Service was professional, and welcoming. Pleasant staff, very friendly. The Akoko pairing was also a welcome change to just wine. It was lovely to have something different. The whole experience was superb. I highly recommend this restaurant, and will definitely return.

The restaurant is next door to the Rubens at the Palace which is where we were staying. The food is very good and the maitre'd Ian is the best. He's friendly outgoing and attentive to all his customers. We enjoyed him as much as we enjoyed our meal. The restaurant was busy but not over crowded. Definitely a good spot for a meal.
