I have been here twice with my family and each time it has been wonderful. So I booked it for a friend’s birthday. I had booked for the wrong number of people, but they kindly rejigged the tables and made room. Nothing was too much trouble. They were so kind and amenable. They even sang happy birthday for my friend! The food is wonderful, cocktails are brilliant and I cannot recommend this restaurant enough.
Me reuní con unos amigos aquí para tomar algo. Gran pub para reunirse. Excelente ubicación. Hay pizzas disponibles, que también son muy sabrosas. Personal amable y servicial. Gran servicio.
One of my favourite places to go for a crepe with my children. Been coming here regularly for a couple of years and it never lets me down. A shame the place is so small but it is well worth going to and in summer one can eat the crepes on Richmond Green which is 25m or so away.
Unexpectedly wonderful haunt in Leytonstone. I was staying at the Sir Alfred Hitchcock hotel but the Rear Window restaurant was closed today. Instead the bus dropped me near Bocca Bocca.
I was intrigued by the pistachio and mordatella pizza - and it was delicious. Really enjoyed the neat burrata and courgette cream for antipasto, along with a red-blooded negroni. Affogato and grappa for dessert topped it all off. The service was excellent and I was warmly welcomed despite dining alone. Informal and friendly atmosphere meant I had a great evening and left with some new friends from the next table.
Looking for a quick and tasty meal before a concert at the Apollo theatre, around the corner, we found Salt and Plum. With a warm and friendly greeting, we were presented with complimentary fresh, hot pide bread served with whipped feta as we looked at the menu. The menu is excellent with select mezze, starters and mains and a range of pide and lahmacun, catering well for both vegetarians and meat eaters. We had humus, Aegean roasted vegetables, fasulye with rice and the Topaki Chicken. All were excellent and seemed authentic. The service was discreet but attentive and charming, the ambience relaxed and the open kitchen allowed us to compliment the chef in person.
A great start to an excellent evening. We shall be back!
We went in after seeing the soufflés on the board outside and we were not disappointed. The flavours were incredible. The soufflés were light and fluffy. Absolutely delicious.
Absolutely delicious food, stunning atmosphere and the sweetest staff. Couldn’t recommend more. Just stumbled upon this gem and would go again while visiting xx
Be prepared to WAIT. Don’t get me wrong, the food is good however, the wait times are not. In total, me and my boyfriend spent around 2 hours in the restaurant. 1 hour waiting for our table then an extra 40 mins waiting for our food (which granted is nice), then 20 mins finally eating. Expensive, long wait times and the staff, while friendly, were not too attentive. We wanted to order as soon as we got in and we were told we had to wait to order food- then the table next to us were allowed to order their food right away. Food is good but in my opinion not worth the 1 hour and a half wait to have it!
Gran servicio y una amplia selección de deliciosos almuerzos ligeros y postres y pasteles caseros lejos del bullicio de la ciudad en un delicioso oasis verde.
