Wow! I’ve been aware of roots for the last few months, as it has been very popular in East village with residents but today was the first time I was able to go with friends. I was not disappointed. We drank out way through most of the cocktail menu, each one was delcious and wonderful well presented. The tastes are great and the presentation (dry ice is a lovely touch) is amazing.
The bit that makes Roots stand out is the great customer service. They were very attentive and the head bar man was more than keen to come over, talk us through the menu and advise what cocktails would best suit our palettes. There was plenty of staff around who were keen to help and serve.
Overall we paid £50 each for 5 cocktails, which seems a lot if out of London but the service and choice makes this a London bargain!
I could not recommend visiting enough, this bar will quickly rocket to the top of trip advisors list, so get in soon!
I walked through the Woolwich foot tunnel to North Woolwich and on to King George V DLR station. On a parade of shops I came across this delightful cafe. The food menu is huge and the food looked great. I just had a milky coffee which was excellent and not expensive. The toilet was very clean too. I would definitely come back to eat.
Espresso cart located right at Packington Bridge. Good coffee and a limited selection of pastries. The proprietor is very friendly. I believe it is only open weekdays.
Best Bubble tea around. I had the Crème Brûlée which was fantastic! The tapioca was really soft and fresh, unlike the stuff one often finds with the chains. Lovely, welcoming staff. Fantastic choice too. Next time I’m in the area I will be trying one of their desserts too. I can’t recommend SIPP in Dalston highly enough.
Spicegate used to be a great restaurant under 2 previous managers, the food was always very good. It's been closed for some time but has now opened up as a take away only. You can order on line and collect or get it delivered.
Myself and my wife tried it out for the first time tonight and ordered a Chicken Tikka Masala and a Chicken passanda both with boiled rice with a Keema Nan and Peshwari nan.
I collected the food which was lovely and hot when we got it home and the meal itself was excellent. The food was tasty, well cooked and plenty of it, neither of us could finish our meal. We will definately use Spicegate again and wish the new owner every success on his venture and hope the food stays just as it is as it was excellent.
Hi, I went to Spicy Fish on 21/09/2021 and had a Chicken Katsu Curry. The food was top quality and was absolutely really delicious.
The restaurant is clean, tidy and the staff are very nice and friendly. They really made me feel welcome.
You can sit in to eat or you can do a take away.
I sat in and really enjoyed it. I also had one of their ice lemon teas which was great too.
I highly recommend you try this restaurant for authentic Asian cuisine
Many choices on the menu to suit all.
This restaurant will certainly be seeing a lot more of me and I live about five minutes walk so it really convenient.
Thank you from Karim NW2
Visito este café para tomar un café recién molido varias veces a la semana. Sirven su propia marca de café que es una mezcla mixta, tostado medio a rico.
Just popped in for a quite drink on a Monday and was approached by the bar lady inviting me and my partner to take part in quiz night, so we did
And glad we took part was a great night friendly atmosphere and the quiz host Julia was fantastic questions was challenging and good prizes up for grabs in her mini games
100% be attending again
I was looking for a coffee but not in McDonald's and managed to find this place on Google maps. I had a coffee made with milk for a bargain £1.60. The menu said that the coffee was 'instant' but it was a very decent cup of coffee and could have passed as from freshly ground beans. The food looked excellent and I will certainly be back.
Fantastic attendants, they're the owners! Great portions, great tasty battered Cod and chunky Chips, Juicy Kebabs too!
Just 2 minutes from the train station, the last shop on the shops parade terrace.
