We had dinner here and it was so lovely. The service was great, staff amazing and the food was just so yummy! Would highly recommend. This is the second time I’ve been and it was just as good. Can’t wait to try their award winning roast!

Having watched Four in a Bed it was really sad to watch you UNDER PAY EVERYONE and only look for NEGATIVES in everyone else's businesses despite yours being far from perfect. You set out with one agenda, not pay the going rate and just ooze your negativity wherever possible. Extremely sad and an amazingly non-brilliant advert for your business.

The Bell was recommended to us by friends. We tried it on Wednesday and were surprised how busy the restaurant was. Very professional service and a great choice on the menu. We will most certainly return

We were a small tabke of 3, celebrating my sister's birthday. Welcoming, friendly attentive and knowledgeable staff servrd us in this beautiful old building. We seeked advice on suggested food dishes and had extremely flavoursome and enjoyyable dishes mixing syles from gentle Korma, with Lamb Korai and chicken 'Shethe' maybe from speciality dishes. All meats were delicious and sides also very satisfying. Wenwere recommended this restaurant and will come back again, great staff, food, good value and fabulous experience. Thank you team!

Really gone downhill. Every time we visit something is not working. The steam room smells of rotten vegetables. Sauna has been out for weeks. The beds around pool have dried dirt on them. I won't be visiting again.

Food was terrible definitely not fresh food. Such a shame when you go out for dinner and the whole experience is so bad. Hopefully we don’t get food poisoning from the rubbery funny tasting prawns.

Two 1/4 sized pieces of a potato does not a roast dinner make! Food also tepid. Why was the entire place so cold? There were several people eating with their coats on, read the room Publican! Never came to this lace back in the day due to it being well known for drugs, won’t be come back again now either.

We liked everything about this pub/hotel. We were in the area for a funeral and because the wake was being held at the Rose and Crown, we were lucky to get a room as they only have five. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, from the time we arrived to when we left the next day. The service, food and drinks were great. They laid on the buffet for the wake which was really good too and we had dinner in the evening and it was lovely. We also met the owners who happened to pop into the bar and they were super nice and welcoming. The room we stayed in was very comfortable, cosy and clean. Great shower which is always a big tick for me. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice. Great electronic door system on all doors which makes you feel safe. I would definitely stay here again if I visited the area. There is a spa down the road (The Life House) which I have visited before and stayed over but if I did it again, I would book a day spa and spend the night at The Rose and Crown. Thanks for looking after us all.

Wonderful restaurant with a good selection of delicious food. Our server Mandy was brilliant and attentive making the evening even better.

Big menu, lots to choose. But got set seafood meal, share for 2 at the end. Best decision! Food was delicious and fresh. The portions were more than enough.

Great pub for a pint. Staff & Landlord all excellent. Good choice of beer. Beer garden in summer ideal. Food including Sunday roast amazing. Really recommend.

Went to buy a bed ordered through them then they had one on display cheaper. Asked if we could have that as they originally said they did not have any in stock. When we complained the owner and his wife got rude and cancelled our order. I would never use them again. Found a better place up at stansted called you’re furnished much better quality and a lot cheaper. AVOID FORD BARNS at al cost as there plain rude
