Excellent 3 course meal including Sunday roast Two cobs of homemade bread served (with butter and a nice truffle-y butter - couldn't remember exactly what it was but it was very nice) Starters - crab & ham hock Main - roast pork & roast beef Desserts - blackberry and apple crumble & sticky banoffee pudding All the food was A*, if you want a really nice, high quality meal, this is a great place to go It would be nice to have a little more meat with the roast (especially on the pork dish) but was still ample and didn't take anything away from the meal A really lovely atmosphere and friendly staff too Seems to be the best place in the area Things to note: There is a service charge (about 10%) Can be quite hard to find anywhere to park when busy (there is a car park but is small) so we parked on the side of the road by a field, so keep in mind you might have to park elsewhere

This place is very popular and busy, yet we were still served quickly and the food was delicious. Every surface is covered with memorabilia, making it fascinating and atmospheric. We did struggle a bit with the wheelchair, but the staff were very helpful and we were able to get inside to eat. We even got around the shop without trashing it, thanks to the lovely lady who moved stands, etc out of our way. Talking of the shop, what a treasure trove!

Although it is a bit remote from the actual village, this place is a wonderful find. We went for Sunday lunch and were treated to excellent service, a delicious meal, and a delightful and friendly atmosphere. Just when you think 'good, old fashioned' pubs are dying out it was a fantastic example of why the best survive. We had the roast lamb and it came really quickly together with tasty roast potatoes, a huge Yorkshire pudding, and lots of fresh vegetables. A couple of glasses of wine were just right as well. What made the whole thing so relaxing was being able to take the dog in - how refreshing that dogs are welcome. We ate indoors and then took our drinks into the lovely garden area. Well done to all the staff, thank you.

Popped in for ice cream. Sundaes were great but ordered 99s and was charged 40p extra (each) just for sauce which left a bad taste. I felt really sorry for the young girls working there as it’s obviously not their decision. Clearly the owners keen to squeeze as much out of customers as possible.

The place is gorgeous but the service leaves a lot to be desired. The hot chocolate is watery and not worth £4. Sausage rolls are tasty. They are open until 4pm but they won’t serve you any food after 3pm, not even soup. It says it on the menus but not on the signage and after a long walk to get there with 2 elderly people their attitude was disappointing. We won’t be going there again. There are much better, friendlier places to spend our money in the area

We decided to go to see the seals at Horsey and googled pubs nearby. Nelson Head came up and the reviews were good so we thought we would give it a go! The pub was smaller than I expected but we got a warm welcome. There were quite a few things unavailable on the menu but all 6 of us found something we would like. Food was quick and everybody enjoyed their meal. Very friendly service and if we were in the area again, we would definitely come back. Thank you for a lovely lunch.

The best freshly cooked fish and chips I have had for a very long time. Definitely worth a visit but be prepared to wait, it is so worth it though. Very well organised queuing system so you dont get missed. All the staff are really lovely and friendly, even “Little Miss Shouty” calling out the numbers. Please don’t change a thing, it’s just perfect for a traditional fish and chip supper. 10/10
