Cash only dogs allowed welcoming would not recommend food

The worst place in Norfolk Embarrassing for us who live here! Waited almost an hour for easy take away order then it was wrong Forgot us although we were 6 waiting in front of the bar No apology!

Meal to take away for 10. Fantastic service and food was first class. Lovely pub atmosphere - we enjoyed a drink while waiting for our order. Very reasonable prices and within walking distance of our holiday home - Highly recommend..

Good old fashioned plateful of food in a great location 👌

We could not believe you could get a decent carvery dinner for £9 each. It's not posh, but there was a choice of two roast meats,then you helped yourself to a good and varied selection of veg, roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding. It was extremely good value for money. Nice lady serving.

Very disappointed to be turned away when making an enquiry for a group of children to eat somewhere, 2 months in advance of the trip. A reasonable business would accommodate a group booking so early in advance, not reject outright.

A quirky little place right on the seafront. Lots of outside seating and extremely well priced. The meals were cooked fresh and the carvery was like having home cooked roast dinner. Bar stocked traditionally, not ponsy wines or gins, just straight forward beers, Ales, Read and white wine and spirits. We loved it and will visit again.

Good grub, doggy friendly, pleasant staff, lovely gardens, only downside was cash only! Walked to beach which was having some works done.

Staying here for a week. My parents went for carvery yesterday and left without eating most of it. They said it was lukewarm, the meat was stringy and the veg hard; everything was tasteless. Such a shame as we're looking forward to it. We've been previously on holiday but first time on a Sunday. Good for a beer outside

Decided to visit Reefs Bar after finding the fish and chip shop closed. Now wish that we had visited before. Had a cracking meal, washed down with a couple of pints of Doom Bar. Lovely food that is reasonably priced and dog friendly as well.

Good food, very friendly staff and (when we were there) live music. We had a lovely time

We ordered our 4 meals at 7.00pm, my husband and friend had to go back at 8.00pm to ask where food was. 5 minutes later we had 3 meals bought out. We continue to sit there 15 mins until we had to ask where the 4th meal was, to this all there reply was, we are busy, which no they weren't, 70% of tables were empty. So we asked for our money back, to which reply again was, I'm serving , so can you wait. Not good service, very bad customer care, will never go there again.

We really liked Reefs bar. Good food at reasonable prices. Good choice of drinks. A lovely outside seating area. Lovely place to sit and soak up the sun whilst being at the seaside. Doggies very welcome too. Would definitely return:)

Just a half way stop on my bike ride, everything is good at Sea Palling, nice place. Reefs Bar is okay but burgher and coffee cost as much for one as it does for two at Potter Heigham a few miles away, nice people though

I highly recommend Reef’s Bar in Sea Palling. We visited while on holiday at Waxham Sands in August. We ordered a ham and cheese ploughman’s, sausage baguette, sausages, ham, egg and chips and were not disappointed. The food was great quality, good portion sizes and well presented. I am looking forward to our next visit. Well deserved recognition and thanks go to Emma, Jay and chef, Diane for a friendly and welcoming service and a fabulous dining experience. 😄

We love Reefs Bar. All the staff are so friendly. They do great pub grub and Sunday Carvery. Very good value. Also child and dog friendly. A great place to visit!

Second visit and again not disappointed. Tried the vegetarian spinach and ricotta cannelloni, very nice. Other meals had were suet steak and kidney pudding, and vegetarian ploughman's. Previously had fish and chips which was nice, although the fish still had skin and some bones. Definitely worth the trip here.£11.95 for steak and kidney pudding and the cannelloni, £9.95 for the ploughman's.decided to try a pudding which were equally ok. The only downside was the coffee didn't enjoy it.

Had chilli complained it was made with spaghetti sauce tasted foul got no responce got my money they did not care would say to people do not waste your money

We were unable to eat as this restaurant is cash only and cash machine nearby was out of order. A disappointing experience.

Just back from a gloriously hot week in Sea Palling with friends & their dog. Whilst self catering we ate at Reefs on a number of evenings & when not eating, stopped off on our way back from the beach for a drink... be rude not too! Think between the 3 of us we tried most things on the menu. I judge pub/cafe food on a 'home made' lasagne & you've taken my top spot..fabulous! Home made chilli was also fab as was my ploughman's & scampi. According to my friends, the chicken curry, burgers & sausage were also good. Staff were great & met some lovely people. Thanks Reefs

Very accommodating on a bike packing trip and needed milk for morning cereal and coffee. Thanks for helping out after shop was shut. Cheese and bacon Burger was excellent, great quality patties too (I doubled up, but didn’t really need too) and large chips are def for sharing, which is exactly what I did. Don’t waste food!

We stopped here for some food as we were camping at Waxham Sands and needed to eat. It was a quiet Thursday so not very busy. It's cash only so we got some money out from ATM in the arcade across the road (£2 fee). We ordered Chinese curry, lasagna and two kids sausage chips and beans. Kids couldn't finish their's as it was huge (value for money) Anyway food was nice and home cooked, none of this premade stuff. If you're in a pinch it's highly recommended.

Family dog friendly pub/restaurant with a great location by the sea. Excellent for a drink outside in the sun 😎 We ordered food to takeaway, very disappointed with frozen cooked chips and very over priced, if the quality of the sausages and cod was better this would be reflected in the price….sadly we wouldn’t eat there again….

This was our first visit to the pub and we were very impressed with the Sunday carvery. It was £9 and there was an excellent selection of vegetables. The roast potatoes, puddings and stuffing balls were all delicious, definitely the best part. The food was all very fresh and the staff were welcoming/friendly. My only criticism would be that the carvery set up is a little bit awkward; there's not a lot of room to move and it's set up very close to the doorway of the kitchen which means it's really difficult with people constantly wanting to pass by. Also there are only 2 meats on the carvery and I feel it would be better if there was a choice of 3, or if there are going to be only 2, then I think they should have a red meat option (beef, pork or gammon) and a white meat option ( chicken or turkey) rather than 2 red meat options. Also there is no hot water in the toilets but there is a cold water. All in all this was a very good experience and we enjoyed our visit. Will hopefully visit again in the future!

We went to the Reef on Saturday 8th April for drinks and bingo with 5 friends. What a fabulous night! A brilliant atmosphere and great laughs. The staff are amazing so friendly and welcoming, Pete the landlord as the entertaining bingo caller great job and Janine organising everything brilliantly and Lesley doing a great job behind the bar. We are so lucky to have the Reef a friendly and welcoming place would highly recommend to all. Definitely be back! X

Yet another lovely Sunday Carvery! Complete with a complimentary full size Easter egg. Brilliant helpful staff and owner and all for under £10. A very pleasant contrast to the prices in North Norfolk that we experienced the day before, where a TAKEAWAY portion of chips were £5, cheesy chips £7.50!!!! So sorry to have missed the Saturday evening bingo that the Reefs Bar hosts from time to time and is always thoroughly enjoyable, but as we had grandchildren visiting thought it probably not appropriate for them. Looking forward to the next one though. Thank you to one and all involved in making this pub/bar a pleasant experience for locals and visitors alike. Keep on doing what youre doing

The Reef Bingo Night has become legendary for both the locals and the part time locals from the Golden Beach. Went as a group of six, all friends, and it was the best night out this year. Don't think we stopped laughing from the Landlord, Pete starting to lose his voice to the brilliant bar staff and bingo helpers who made the night so much fun. The raffle held during the evening is hilarious. The prizes (wrapped in Christmas paper) are the most bizarre selection of prizes ever and only adds to the fun. It was the talk (in a positive way) at Golden Beach the next morning and we are all looking forward to the next Reef Bingo Night. Well done the Reef Crew!!!!

We came for the bingo and some food . They were shouting down the microphone . It was so loud it hurt and when trying to tell someone they are too loud a joke out of it !!! Absolutly dreadful . We ordered cheesy chips...

Me and my girlfriend stopped here for a carvery. She is gluten intolerant and veggie which can be a struggle in most place. Staff tried very hard to find a veggie gluten free alternative for her. Unfortunately the sausages weren't gluten free. Because of this they only charged her £6 for a veggie roast with veggie gravy which we thought was good of them to offer straight away like that. We both had a lovely roast dinner which only cost £15 for both of us. What a bargain for good food 👌👌. Staff where also very helpful and friendly.

Love this pub. We come for the Sunday carvery a few times a year whilst visiting our caravan up the road. Very well priced, great selection of veg too. Beers are only £4.50 despite other reviews stating otherwise so don't let that put you off....
