The best restaurants in Needham Market Mid Suffolk East of England

Third visit to Knapps and each time have been very impressed with both the quality of the food and friendliness of the staff. Live locally and just popped in last night for dinner at the last minute. Must be the best burgers in East Anglia and sourced locally as well which is even better!

Delicious afternoon tea - with a wide selection of cakes and sandwiches. Children’s afternoon tea was also available. Very friendly and helpful staff. We had great fun decorating a cardboard unicorn in decoupage and will definitely be returning again

Saturday night is obviously popular here. We met up to celebrate my mum's birthday, as they had been here previously with friends and enjoyed it very much. We were not disappointed! The food was great, juicy and full of spices. The waiters were attentive and nothing was too much trouble. It was a great night.

Friendly and welcoming staff, delicious hot breakfast, great coffee, plenty of free parking, we will come again, thank you!

We have been going here for some time now and the cafe has got better and better. The ladies serving are friendly, pleasant and helpful. The cafe is bright, airy and clean. The only downside is the very uncomfortable chairs, but apart from that, everything else is excellent.

Usually I'm quite lazy when it comes to leaving reviews but I was keen not to let this one slip by. These guys provided the buffet, sandwiches and various nibbles for a funeral wake for our family, today. To be honest, I didn't expect a huge amount as it sounds quite basic but . . . . to be fair, I was very impressed with the lavish and generous spread they put on for about 30 of us. There proved to be more food than we needed and they provided takeaway tubs for a number of us to take leftovers home with. - and there was still some food left unclaimed. I got a number of positive comments from friends and family as the food & nibbles were all lovely. . . . . and staff were very pleasant and accommodating. So it's only fair they get some positive feedback. They deserve it. Thanks team. 👍

If you like sitting in a cold environment, eating overcooked, burnt meat ( Steak&Ale Pie) or granite pastry (Pear Crumble) then try the Limes Hotel Needham Market.

Nice menu that changes often . Nice old pub . Often has music and events . Good, to pop into after a walk around the lake , or Needham High Street .

Fantastic place. On the outside looks just like the pub it once was. When we walked through the door, the decor certainly had the wow factor. The place was already very busy for early in the evening, always a good sign. Immediately greeted by attentive staff and shown to our table upstairs. Drinks, poppadoms ordered and served promptly while we perused the excellent menu. We enjoyed our food , very well presented, tasty and excellent value. The staff were friendly and polite . This was our first visit , certainly won't be our last. Can highly recommend this place 10/10.

Lovely friendly hotel , in the heart of the high street .

What a lovely friendly family oriented Pub & Dinner so clean and inviting. We had the smoked brisket and it was to die for. We will be going again, probably next week with daughter’s, grandchildren and Storm the spaniel. I am happy to recommend this eatery. Excellent all round. Bob Bruce

Really great food and the chap that I assume is the owner is so personable, however the girl is very rude and untrained in any customer skills, she clearly would rather be anywhere else but working there, It’s such a shame as this has made us reluctant to go in there. She really upset my daughter in law with her critical look and smirk, thankfully she then returned to her phone screen.

The toilets here are still absolutely filthy. There appears to be weeks of built up grime and stains on all of the toilets/seats that hasn't just appeared over the last couple of days or so. Deep clean is very much needed.

The best fish and chips I've ever eaten. Yes maybe the owner is not very friendly to some people but he is definitely not rude to everyone. We waited a while, but the restaurant culture is to serve the fish hot and fresh, they do not serve the fish by cooking it and keeping it waiting. It tastes amazing. Our Friday Night Classic
