What a lovely friendly family oriented Pub & Dinner so clean and inviting. We had the smoked brisket and it was to die for. We will be going again, probably next week with daughter’s, grandchildren and Storm the spaniel. I am happy to recommend this eatery. Excellent all round. Bob Bruce

It was many years ago since my wife and I last visited The Limeburners. It was about 10 years ago. Back then it was looking a bit tired, but what a transformation when we visited a few days ago. It’s been completely refurbished and very inviting. The staff were very friendly and made you feel welcome. What is unique about this lovely country pub, is it specialises in good old English fish and chips! We ordered medium skate, cod, and chips, we didn’t have to wait too long before it was served piping hot to our table. Both cod and skate were delicious and fresh, and it was thoroughly enjoyable! It was all washed down with glass of ale and in my wife’s case a glass of Aspalls Cider. We shall most certainly be visiting the Limeburners again very soon, and it certainly won’t be after another 10 years!

A lovely family friendly pub, children played happily in the garden on the slide and swing. Then our delicious fish and chips arrived, the children had cod - very generous portion sizes, we had haddock and rock eel - all totally delicious. Excellent tasty batter and crispy chips. Keep up the good work.

If your face doesn’t fit your not welcome, very cliquey place, wouldn’t recommend! Basically you need to be a local to be welcome, they make you feel like you shouldn’t be there, staff are rude and arrogant

If ur friendly and bubbly DO NOT visit this pub, lots of negative attitudes from staff, very close little community who don’t take very kindly to outsiders, I’ve visited this pub more than once and can safely say the experience I had with the staff was very unwelcoming wouldn’t recommend this as a friendly family country pub

First ever visit on a busy evening but a very pleasant experience. Lovely pub and a great fish and chips meal to sit peacefully and enjoy. This is one that will definitely return to.

Main bar area was very busy which meant it took ages to get served and didn't feel we were in a position to ask to try the beers. Opted for a pint from Glastonbury brewery which wasn't well kept at all. I think they may have been struggling with the real ales as there appeared to be some sort of issue. To top it off I had a dog come over which curled one out virtually on my bag. To be fair the owner was told by someone in the beer garden so five minutes the offending item was removed with what I suppose you could say was an apology. Not the pubs fault obviously but it's not somewhere I would be in a hurry to return to....

We've been customers at this pub/fish and chip shop for a very long time and have seen many people run the take-away. The latest owners produce the most consistently good fish and chips we've had. Although it's handy to have the pub next door it would be convenient if I could pay for everything once. Other than that suggestion I can't fault the food nor the helpful and friendly staff.

After a long wait (25 minutes) for takeaway cod and chips, we got them home which is less than 5 minutes away. The chips were cold, not sure how they can go cold that quickly, and the fish was mushy. We actually put the whole lot in the bin and went out for dinner in the end. Most certainly won't be going back to the Limeburners. On the plus side the packaging is very nice, just a shame you can't eat it.

Had to wait just under an hour for 2 haddock and chips. The fish was overcooked and the chips were underwhelming if I am honest. The pub was nice and had a lovely little beer garden. Don't think we will be getting fish and chips again but would stop for a pint. Service was OK but it didn't seem busy so we were disappointed.

We went on Saturday 29th for the Halloween karaoke all dressed up as were many others and had a great night. Martin was great with the karaoke and music and Bob, Mellisa, and Sheila were kept busy all night behind the bar. Very friendly pub and will be going back again.

I have no idea who would choose to say we are closed but we ARE NOT and we'd love to see you. We are a country pub with a fabulous garden and loads of parking. We have at least 3 real ales on all the time and a fish & chip restaurant too.

I have been using this pub for 15 years so I might be biased, but I don't tend to keep going to places I don't like. Beer good, prices very good and fish and chips a real treat. Just remember, its a local and not the Hilton. Dogs allowed to. The pub is also so the host for the Offton Glastonbury every July. Live bands and it never rains.

We go to the Limeburners regularly and have never had a bad meal. The staff, especially Loraine, are brilliant, nothing is too much trouble. The atmosphere is great, they have a great selection of beers and wines. I don't know if Paul Woods actually went to the same place as his review is totally different to what we have experienced. We would certainly recommend it and have done, to all our friends and relatives. Their beer festival was excellent with more beers than we could actually sample and the whole atmosphere was brilliant. Thank you, see you soon.

What a find!! A lovely country pub with always something going on, whether it be a charity night, live music or quiz night. Staff are always friendly and welcoming and a bonus to have a fish and chip restaurant/takeaway attached to it. Order your takeaway and have a sneeky half whilst waiting....fantastic.The food we have had here has always been excellent and good value for money, the fish is very good and you don't get small portions either. You get the same standard to takeaway. It does get busy on Friday and Saturday nights in the restaurant so could be worth booking to make sure you don't miss out.

The food was ghastly and the staff could have cared less. They were anxious to get off home and didn't care who knew it.

I’ve recently moved to Rickinghall & had the great pleasure of enjoying my first fish & chips a few weeks ago which was excellent except unfortunately my cod was missing from my order which is why I’ve only given 4 stars & I didn’t realise until I’d got home 🙈thankfully my husband had ordered a large cod so we could share but thought I better let you know. It certainly won’t stop me from visiting again😜

The fish and chips used to be excellent but the last good quality food I had from here was in spring 2023. Not sure if the owner changed but food certainly. The cod is always very good, but the chips are actually not edible each time. The smaller chips are so dry and hard that they go to bin each time. Only the larger chips are ok. Yesterday I ordered chicken strips and they were hard and dry. Looked and tasted like they were re-heated or re-cooked. What happened to this quality chip shop?
