The best restaurants in Kimbolton and Staughton Huntingdonshire East of England

This place stinks of racism not by owners but the staff, I went in there waited about 15 minutes before someone come to serve even though had several eye contact with the staff but they kept themselves busy.. when I finally got served and got my food a couple walked in and soon as they sat down lady came straight away and asked what they would like to drink which made it all clear how they ignore me because I’m foreign. I have never felt so unwelcome in my life I’ve lived here 25 years and been working most of, I run a family business my self and treat everyone who walks in the same. Shame on you to the two ladies who were working here on 12/06/19 at around 11:30.

Nice hotel. Staff very friendly. Rooms nice and comfortable. Service both in bar and restaurant slow .. Thought there might be more to see in Crawfordsburn but Bangor is near . Extremely expensive for food and drink especially when converting euro to sterling..

Called just for coffee mid afternoon. It was the cheapest, bitter instant coffee - worst ever. Owner said it was Nescafé - certainly not as I know it. Americanos advertised at the bar at £2.70. Charged £3.60. Told the prices were from the last owner but that I had also had milk separately! Owner brusque. Could be due to my being female, or ordering only coffee or being a non-regular.

We were a group of six and had booked for 7.30pm. I was looking forward to a festive meal with good company in a country pub. However, soon after we arrived it became apparent that it was a music bingo night! It was extremely loud (it's a small pub) so it made our conversation difficult. We had a go at the music bingo (if you can't beat em, join em), but this monthly (it transpires) very loud event went on for the whole time we were there. Another thing to note was they also had a group of 24 in that night. We didn't get our food until 9pm! This was totally unacceptable and I don't feel we received an adequate apology, or a complimentary drink while we were waiting, or an offer of money off our bill. 1. At the time of booking, why weren't we informed it would be music bingo and would be noisy? We could then have chosen a different night for our meal. Interestingly there were no other diners in the restaurant area with us. 2. It seems as though all their time was taken up with the party of 24, and we were literally left waiting. The food was ok, but that was fairly irrelevant bearing in mind our overall stressful experience! No desire to return.

We have just returned from a delicious lunch at the Saddle. The staff were very friendly and the food was delicious.We had fish and chips and steak and chips.The fish was delicious lovely crispy batter and the steak was very well cooked. The chips were also delicious. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. It was not busy which is a shame as the pub offered real value for money in a friendly environment.We will certainly return. Thank you .

Went to White horse Inn on Valentine’s Day, and it was sub par! Also very expensive!🤮

Amazing night, great atmosphere and food. Keep up great work. Also getting pub ready for Christmas, the front window got Christmas decorations and look amazing
