Just recently moved to Tiptree and called in for a coffee and Bakewell tart. Both were delicious. Friendly staff & good service.

Had brunch in the cafe yesterday, a sausage and bacon sandwich with a pot of tea for one. The tea was weak, even after leaving to brew, the sandwich was cold and greasy. Unfortunately with a friend who doesn't like to complain but definitely not a pleasant experience. I will not be repeating the experience

We ordered take out from here. Arrived a few minutes after told to and we were made to wait for another 25 minutes. The food was good. But we were charged twice for an item and now can’t get through to them on the phone to resolve.

The food was one of the worst I've ever even and my granddaughter was ill all day thrursday and we we had to be close to bathroom facilities all day as well. Avoid this place at all costs. They were obviously trying to get rid ofold stock but at a price which my grand daughter had to pay by being very unwell the next day. We were all poorly and the food we had from there was the only thing we all ate together

After finally reaching the ordering point at a few minutes before noon, I was told I could not order hot food until twelve! However I could only order a panini. So on a chilly November day I had no choice after queing for 15 minutes. In hindsight I should have stood there until dead on twelve, but was shocked by the attitude of the staff. We manage to find a table easily but we had to wait and wait and watched plate after plate of fish n chips, Jacket potatoes and pies, which must have been ordered after our order. Finally our paninis came with chips, I couldn't eat it the chips were so salty and the panini it wasn't even a panini it was a under cooked half baked roll, it was vile. I would like to also ask why there is no drink included in the children's picnic lunch? At £7 for a sandwich a couple of crisps and a few carrot and cucumber sticks and a biscuit. That is extortion. The garden centre is excellent. Bring a picnic to eat in the car or avoid meal time.
